this is not counted as blogging
I get a high whenever you're around
Sweeping from my head to my toes
I gotta get my feet back on the ground
cuz you make me go out of my way
crossing the line making me say
what I have in mind

You make me so excited
And I don't wanna fight it
I start to blush
You are my Sugar Rush
Ain't nothing better baby
Is it for real or maybe?
I start to blush
You are my Sugar Rush

I got a sweet and fine taste for you
It might be too obvious
butI can't help my self from what I do
cuz you make me go out of my way
crossing the line making me say
what I have in mind

You make me so excited
And I don't wanna fight it
I start to blush
You are my Sugar Rush
Ain't nothing better baby
Is it for real or maybe?
I start to blush
You are my Sugar Rush

Baby you're my Sugar Rush
I get weak and talk too much
You're the sweetest thing I ever tasted
Baby you're my Sugar Rush
I get weak and talk too much

You are my Sugar Rush

it's happening all over again.
that sense of dread as you walk into the hall early in the morning, awaiting your fate in those exam papers.
bahh. how come three whole months have flown by just like that?
come to think of it. this whole year round, life has been nothing but homework studies tutorials lectures n did i mention tons of homework?
i know i shldnt be here typing, especially when the major papers start next week. but i suspect i'm slowly starting to burn out.
oh dear. not now!
head's throbbing like mad. bio spa tmr. to hell with it man. who ask them to put it in the middle of our promos n spoil all our studying plans!
ahh. the bliss of coming home early.
everyday has been an endless cycle. sch. mac. home. sch mac home. schmachome.
on weekends? macmacmacmacmac. reach mac at 8. leave mac at 10. n that's AM n PM respectively.
no wonder we're all burning out.

the most interesting incident happened over the wkend by the way!
accompanied silly ol' mj for yet another round of haircuts with vinc.
vinc then went off for tuition. so went with mj for dinner.
it was a highly deserted place at some shopping centre at orchard.
n who should we happen to see?
i tell you. it has been a long time since i have been so shocked. my jaw nearly dropped to the ground. but that's besides the point.
jam n jpoh wld know what i mean
*flashes big grin

we were so distracted just now!
by this totally adorable boy!!
who's two years old. oh man. he was so cutteee!!
small sparkling eyes. big smile.
reminded me of somebody so i msged mj. (who was just two seats away actually)
*hey i think this was what (u know who) looked like when he was a little boy!
mj n vinc burst out laughing.
then mj said, " why dont you bring him home for a day?"
believe me i wld love to.
me n jiayin were so entertained by his antics.
he kept wanting to shake hands with us.
then when he left he gave us all a 'fly kiss'!
*awwwwwww.

alright. i'm going off for a nap already.
anyway. think it's about time i took a hiatus from blogging.
*gAsp*
yea really no time left u see?
so..
goodbye for now! 11 more days to the end..

Welcome To My Life
Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place?
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you

Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room?
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you screaming

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels alright
You don't know what it's like to be
like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked
When you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like

Welcome to my life

Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more
Before your life is over

Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With the big fake smiles and stupid lies
But deep inside you're bleeding

No you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels alright
You don't know what it's like to be
like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked
When you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like

Welcome to my life

No one ever lies straight to your face
And no one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy But I'm not gonna be ok
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
You never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like
What it's like

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked
When you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
When no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like

welcome to my life.

you know, when one too many persons have told you that u think wAaaay too much for your own good, it's about time that u stopped caring too much about others' business.
so as of today. dont need to tell me anything! because i wld only screw things up!
as you can see, i don't really like to admit i'm wrong, because usually i end up right.
nah kidding.
but just imagine this. u care about your friends' problems, so u may get more than a little involved it, then in the end wat do they say? don't think so much la!
it feels like a slap.
hence for two times in a row i have felt liked i have been slapped.
yea i geddit i can take a hint. dont think so much usually means mind your own bloody business!
i Know I KnOW i KNOW I BLOODY WELL KNOW. IT's ONLY fOR MY OWN GOOD.
so go ahead. SUE ME FOR CARING TOO MUCH ABOUT YOU THEN!
i'm tired. oh i'm so damn tired. i'm tired of hearing the same things over n over again.

to heck with it
to hell with attendance. i havent been going to sch for the past 3 days n i'm gonna be in big trouble tomorrow.
but so what. the fact that i nearly fainted on my way to sch yesterday must mean something right?
yes it means that i need REST.
so tt's why i'm at home right now :D
besides today was yet another useless day. no GP. PE. (though i cld do with the exercise) bio tut. maths lect n econs tut which apparently has been canceled.
ok so maybe i didnt exactly nearly faint on my way to sch, but it was close.
my head was buzzing and throbbing with a headache n my eyes were burning when i was at the bus stop.
then i looked at my hp. 6.50am. bahh. i'm not going to sch anymore.
i had originally wanted to go somewhere far, like Clementi. isolate myself perhaps for a couple of hours then maybe meet jiayin at HC. or mj when he comes back frm NJ.
so i got onto 21 which goes to tampines. with the TPJC ppl.
coincidentally the cute neighbour got on the bus as well!
yea right. like i didnt know he's going to take that bus. plus i can actually take bus to bedok interchange instead of tampines yea?
i was trying my darndest not to smile when i saw him. heh heh.
kinda funny on the bus. filled with TP ppl. they were like staring at me in my VJ uniform. they must be thinking 'does this girl know that she's on the right bus?'
anyway. i ended up at pasir ris interchange. because 21 doesnt stop at tampines interchange. it stops at pasir ris, but not before going to TPJC geddit geddit??
but by that time my eyes were positively closing on their own free will. but i strove on bravely, thinking perhaps i cld find a bus which will take a nice long time to reach the other interchange, so i cld have some rest.
but nooo. the furthest i cld go was apparently toa payoh, n since i dont really fancy ending up at some ulu HDB estate, i abandoned the idea. instead i wanted to go somewhere nearer, like parkway perhaps. so i got onto 15. BUT. without noticing that it terminates at temasek poly.
perfect.
so guess where i ended up in the end?
correct. i went home. partly because my ezlink card was running out of cash n also because my body was aching like mad.
soooo. i went out at 6.45, i reached home at 9.30. without actually going anywhere near Clementi.
then i spent the next 4hrs making up for lost sleep.
can u think of a even better way to waste time, not to mention putting my health at risk??
tt's why i'm still at home today :)

people are willing to pay more regardless of whatever it is, as long as it as unique and exclusive
innit the same with friends?
if a person is excludable, then there's a market price for him/her. = to be treated more imptly than others, since u have paid a price for the friendship n the benefits shld only be enjoyed by a person.
if a person is a public good ie non-rival and non-excludable, then the benefits of the frenship can be shared mutually by all and even if there's one more person sharing it, the benefits shared by the others wldnt decrease. but hence at the same time, no market price could be placed since it's impossible to prevent those who have not "paid" from benefiting, there wld arise the problem of free-riders. therefore, since P=MC=O, no price can be placed.
which comes to the point. which one is better?

i wld rather have a small grp of friends who actually care for me and to which i can go to if i have any troubles, than to be part of a huge grp of ppl yet feel left out and loney deep within.
well i guess it's only recently that i actually realised how lucky i am :)
you know who you are la. thanks a million.
where wld i ever find another 'sister' like you who's willing to waste so much time listening to me!
how many ppl can actually be that bothered actually.
thanks. i don't know how else i can put it into words. i aint that good with thanking ppl ya know? haha.
too bad we cldnt throw away those disgusting ppl in our lives, if u get wat i mean? :) our reactions were abit slow.
some ppl just take what they have for granted. big time. they deserve to lose everything!
haha.
but anyway. i had lots of fun. n for the longest time since goodness-knows-when i finally felt that my friends actually cared about me.
but in between caring about your friends, you shld remember about yourself too ok.
it takes time. 75% n ongoing yea? i'm proud of you.
i'd be waiting for the neoprints!
haha i cant exactly say i'm all fine now. but i'm cool. work first right? we have big plans after promos! i'm gonna bring you two shopping!!
so right now. i'm off to study.
take care my friend.
n thankx.

it's official. i can't get any work done at anyone's hse.
so now, instead of finishing market structure like i'm supposed to have done, i'm still stuck at oligopoly.
bleahhhh.
but it had been an absolutely entertaining day as usual, with that two morons :D
kidding of cuz my dears. when is a day nOT entertaining with you two anyway?
in between attempting to study, we looked at mj's baby photos and gorging ourselves with food.
oh my goodness. if i'm ever going to have such a gorgeous baby-who-was-once-mj i swear i'm going to make him a child actor.
haha. trust me. he WAS one seriously cute baby.
"so what happened to you now??!" vincent says. hahaha.
then we were chatting with mj's mom. more like gossiping abt his love life. particularly the one she-knows-who-she-is-the-one-who-always-appears-for-no-reason-just-to-look-at-mj.
after dinner we WERE supposed to study. unfortunately while taking a walk arnd the park made us realise that we SHOULD relieve our childhood memories.
oh n mj HAD to scare the hell out of me, the way he did to jiayin yesterday. *glares
so we played badminton at some void deck, then went to the slides and swings. whoopeee.
then we WERE supposed to study. but we were kinda tired so we ended up watching some Channel U show.
never mind! i'm going to make it all up tmr.
i AM!
anyway. thanks lots to mj-also-known-as-my-2nd-bro-now.
you are a good listener. dont worry, i aint thinking abt it anymore.
work hard for ur 4As again man!

cheerios to all!

barely half a day of studying out, we have been chased twice out of Mac already. so now me n vincent are at mj's house.
fans of mj. eat your heart out!!
heh heh.
i wonder how much i can actually get in. it's way too comfy and i have a tendency to get sleepy when i'm too comfortable.
ok i'm off to studying.
mj's fans do u want to kill me now???
:D
oh. jiayin n yuexin. have fun at midautumn festival!!

"the Moe system is screwed up. Discuss"
for eons, Singapore has been governed by a strict education system. in the beginning when Singapore needed to industralise, she needed a large pool of skilled labour for the textile and electronics industries. The basic education system was hence implemented, to provide the foundation of skills needed by Singaporeans. This very system has since been modified several times through, attempting to keep up with the rapidly modernizing society. While this once successful system had reached its aim of helping Singapore to tide over the difficult times of the 1960s, the introduction of more and more seemingly useless and redundant policies has in fact made the lives of JC students across Singapore worse than it already is.

At first the basis for education was for the good of the society. Today with the growing economy, one needs to achieve independent learning, for the good of himself. However, the never-ending new education policies do not seem to be bringing students anywhere near that aim. First there was Social Studies. One cannot help that he is swallowing pages after pages of propaganda. If social studies was added to the curriculum to help students understand their past and hopefully at the same time, make them a little more patriotic (what with all the people emigrating and breaking scholarship bonds), then I'm rather sorry to say it has failed terribly. Social Studies did not just give us a huge headache from trying to memorise all the information, but there was also no point in having exams for it because students are basically just reproducing everything from the textbook. How are we expected to learn anything from this kind of practice?

Project Work is similarly another useless policy. Sure, it is supposed to give us a glimpse of what to be expected when we enter the workforce. However, I don't see how faking minutes and rushing through source evaluations can help with our future lives. And is it supposed to stimulate our creativity juices? Then how come i feel so restricted? EVERYTHING follows a FIXED structure. So what if we have the freedom to choose whatever topic we like. Minutes? Follow this format. Source evaluation? Use this template. Bibliography? CANNOT use landscape!! The so-called freedom we have gotten from being allowed to choose the topic we want has since been canceled out by all the silly restrictions we get. (MC exceeds MB)

But to top of it, the most useless education policy to date has got to be SPA. (sch-based practical assessment or something of that sort). What are we trying to achieve with SPA? Let me tell you have we achieved we SPA so far. For Chem, we have learnt how to (1)fake results when you know your results isnt supposed to be like this (2)memorise Skill A and reproduce for the actual practical by changing the names of the reagents because basically the question is the same (3)do well for the practicals. It's easy. Just study what you have been given in school. It's the same! Biology is worse. (1)you reproduce your answers for Skill A, but you're unlikely to finish anyway because you're expected to write about 8 pages in 1hr. (2)I don't see the point in forcing us to finish doing Skill C and D which consists of table drawing graph plotting calculations drawing conclusions in 1hr 2omins. it's unattainable. So, all in all, what have we learnt for SPA? memorise hard! then fake your results for Skill B!

Some people may argue that the system isn't really screwed up. I agree. Because there are a few total flaws with the system. Like my GP tutor once said, nobody is stupid. everybody has his own intelligence in different areas. it is the education system which defines the intelligence that it requires, labelling the rest as the stupid people of society. Why are the smart people defined as those who can speak two languages and count? WHAT if the system isnt this way, and intelligence is defined artistically? How many of us in the so-called Top Jcs in Singapore can remain where we are today? Another aspect. Sports seemed to have much more emphasis than music. With achievement in sports, there are Colour Awards. With achievement in music? The most you can get is an ABRSM cert. As a private candidate. No recognition. No nothing. This great emphasis on sports have even led to some sports people thinking they are above the rest in the school, thus forming an hierarchy system. While it is not prevalent in my school, sports personnel do have a greater advantage and superiorty over the others. And why is this so? Flaws in the education system. One glaring error. With the emphasis on CCA and now the introduction of 5-day week, how are the secondary schools in Singapore going to restructure its timetable? More importantly, how are the students going to survive, with everything being thrown at them? What's more, with now the Integrated Programs, a whole new batch of Integrated students are going to surface. In the future, would those not selected for the programs be at a disadvantage?

In conclusion, it is without doubt that the Moe has made many errors in the implementing of most of the new policies. Even Moe itself has realised it, now that Social Studies is rumoured to be abolished, along with SPA and Project Work. This indicates that the policies have failed to bring the desired outcome, and in its failure to do so, created thousands and thousands of guinea pigs suffering from the failed experiment. As Moe thinks up of some more new policies for the future generations of Singapore, I sincerely hope that the new policy is carefully and MORE thoroughly thought through, before the students all die of mental exhaustion thanks to the horrendous workload.

note: this is written all in the name of good fun. please don't be insulted.

i don't understand..
i don't understand..
- why some ppl always take their friends for granted. do they understand the hurt that these friends go thru? how do you think it feels like to regard somebody so impt, only to have the person treating u like a piece of trash.
- why some ppl go thru extremes just to fit in with the 'in' crowd in sch. n how do they attempt this? by joining a sports cca, not out of interest, nor because they had played the sport before. but because of the status that comes with it. do they realise that once they graduate, this so-called status exists no more? 'everybody is nobody out of school. who gives a damn if u were once in some sport cca?' this from a sportsman himself. if u had joined a sports cca hoping to know more 'popular' people, or hoping to raise whatever status u have, news flash: if u fit in, u do. if u don't, you never will. don't bother
- how some ppl can actually say it aloud that chinese is useless. first n foremost, u being a chinese n saying that, don't u feel ashamed at all? oh i know, there's no pt in trying to bring that point across. sure. english has been established as an international language, even the china ppl are learning it! but hey smart aleck. who has a culture of 5000yrs? n how come the caucasians are learning chinese as well, n at the same time, speaking better than you do? besides, u think u can break into US or UK market? n when u cant, where r u going to go? chinese isn't just an advantage, especially more so when u ARE a chinese urself. wldnt it be hilarious when all the non-chinese ppl out there can speak your own language better than you do?

my top 10 grouses
10. bus drivers who think they own the bus company, refusing to open the front door for you even though the entire bus is packed n u're stuck right next to the bloody door.
9. ill-mannered Mac stuff who come over every few minutes to glare at you just because you're studying there n EVEN though u have food on the table.
8. teachers who refuse to tell you what's not in the chem promos
7. why no study leave??
6. noisy kids at Mac
5. ppl who seem to have problems with their command of grammar when blogging.
4. think-they-know-it-all trying to act like know-it-alls
3. ppl with no identity whatsoever. the kind you know, just another poseur you wld soon forget. yet these are the ppl who walk arnd thinking they own the world.
2. fickle-minded ppl. what's worse than that? fickle-minded ppl who hurt my friends. ooh i wld love to slap 'em
and my no.1 grouse..
1. ppl who tell you to "get over it" or "aiya it's not as if u wld die or something WHAT" when u confide your problems with them. remind me again of your name? the next time you come to me with your so-impt problem, you can jolly well go drown in your own sorrows.

have a nice day everybody!

high strung n defensive
sch's a waste of time. why cant we just have perfectly 2wks to study. the bio dept sucks. why do they have to stuff another genetics chapter into the promos when we already have 15 bloody-hell-long chapters to study. apparently the f maths dept sucks too. another 2 more chapters in 2 wks??
what are we. superhumans?

seems like everybody's waking up. u dont see the usual ppl online anymore. no one's updating their blogs. ppl are going home straight after sch! ppl are studying during their breaks!!
17 more days!!
well i dun think i will stop blogging. where else can i complain abt all the shit that has been going arnd in sch! but i wld have to keep it to a minimal. besides. mr chew once advised us to keep a journal. advice frm mr chew is always valuable n to be kept in mind.

well. i have always been highly defensive of all my good friends. not tt it's exactly the best thing in the world.
nearly got into a few spats with those involved, even though it didnt concern me at all.
i cant help it! these friends are impt to me. u hurt 'em, u will pay.
nah just kidding! am not some psychopath anyway :D
but i wld get really mad at those who has hurt my friends.
oh plus. i dun like it when ppl who dont really know what's really going on giving their two pence worth on the matter. seriously, just stuff a sock in it.
oh n i hate it when some ppl talk big!!
n ppl who talk too much during bio lectures!!
haha. only realised how irritating it was today when for the first time ever, i was paying attention during lecture.
oh god the noise. neverending n it was so darn irritating!
especially these bunch of girls. some grp of bimbos frm some class. aRgghhhhhh. i wanted to shut them up, but cldnt. so instead i asked sianghan n junhong to shut up. wahahha.

i want re-runs of friends!!
i want the spinoff Joey to be shown on tv soon!!
i want to wake up after the promos knowing that junhong has done the papers for me!!! :D

childish people ruin my day
heyyoo

the week's almost up.
i'm not going to complain how i'm not even halfway thru the syllabus yada yada cuz that's an impossibility anyway.
but i'm making progress. much more than i wld at home. yep.
hang in there girl!

so today was the 2nd day in a row i reached mac at 8am.
it's pretty nice there in the morning. no noisy kids. no crowds. no oily smells.
just a couple of newspaper reading customers. the scent of freshly brewed coffee. music frm the radio.
ahhhhhhhh.
but i guess i was still abit in a daze frm the aftermath of a full day of studying on thursday. so we were all fidgety and restless.
yes. n to make things worse. childish people have to turn up.

i seriously do not see the point in this pointless sch rivalry.
why izzit that it's always the yr2s that behave like pri sch kids?
yea as usual that always-appearing-arnd-that-particular-mac-sch shall remain nameless.
so this couple appeared. sat at the table next to us to study.
everything's fine right?
then mj sorta put his legs on the long bench then went to sleep with his arms arnd his knees. (sounds weird i know. i dunno how to describe la)
the girl pointed at him (hello bimbo. i'm just sitting adjacent to you?) to her friend, started giggling.
the guy mouthed "V. J" then both of them started laughing. (note. we were all in PE shirts n house tees)
er. did i miss the punchline here?
when mj woke up, i typed what just happened into his phone n passed it to him.
the girl saw n she did exactly the same thing! (copycat!) no doubt something abt us typing abt them.
ok whatever. i'm usually not bothered by people who have nothing better to do anyway. n besides if they want to waste their precious time which could otherwise have been used to study for their prelims which they oh-so-need-it, WHATEVER!
but Nooooo. apparently our actions are much more important than their prelim results! (it makes u wonder why their sch aint doing well for the As innit?) so this is what happened.
1. jiayin went to sit next to mj n fanned him. they looked over n laughed. girl typed sth in her phone. both of them laughed. jiayin noticed n got pissed.
2. girl went to the toilet. when she got back, staring at all of us. jiayin looked up from her notes. she stared at jiayin (who was in her HC uniform) jiayin diao-ed her. (U go girl!!)
3. jiayin wrote on mj's worksheet what happened. girl noticed. girl pissed. typed in her friend's hp again. both of them looked over. sTARED. i got really mad at this point of time.
4. i accidentally dropped a file loudly. they laughed. (what do they feed them over there?!)
5. after a WHOLE round of staring n giggling n typing in hps, they finally decided that it was about time they left and find other VJ n HC people to irritate. when they stood up, they stared. when they left, they turned arnd n STARED. after they WALKED OUT OF THE BLOODY MAC THEY TURNED BACK AND STARED AGAIN. i wanted to gouge their eyes out. instead me n jiayin made full use of our diao-ing skills. was tempted to make some uncivilised moves but decided against that.

can u get anymore childish than that?
what are they? jealous-beyond belief or something?
have they suffered any particularly humilating defeats to us in sports or results or what?
hmm. probably not. they cldnt have made it that far to compete with us.
as for results.
well. judging from the way the love to annoy the hell out of people from much better schs rather than study for their exams........
whatever.
like jiayin once told us about her new bio lecturer.
some woman who lOVed repeating sarcastically, "i heard u all HC people all very smart one right?" (i quote. so the bad grammar was a direct quote too)
so we were all deducing which jc she was from.
couldnt have been RJ. she talks as if she has some grudge against HC.
not HC of course.
NJ people cant b bothered.
cant be VJ cuz she speaks bad english.
hence..
yea u guessed it.
ooh. these people are seriously so annoying. not the first time somemore.
has the principal brainwashed them or something! why is it that only the yr2s behave this way?
like i said before. this minority gives the sch a bad name among other jcs.
for heavens' sake!

bedok mac. the place where all kinds of interesting people surface.
there's the gone-mad lawyer who goes around chanting to himself.
those random little kids who are corrupted by their friends, going arnd in their centre-partings and coarse language.
oh n that transvestite. complete with curly blond wig fake b**bs micro-mini and stilettos.
he/she seriously looks quite scary though.
mj bumped into him/her in the guys toilet n got the shock of his life.

ok enough of this nonsensical babbling. i gotta grab some dinner before i go to mac again in another 9hrs.
ooh it sounds damn short.

n between now and then
til i see you again, i'll be loving you.
love,
Me

and so the 1st aa-tRNA binds to the P site of the ribosome..
helll-ooo

i'm in kind of a.. fidgety mood now.
i'm also squinting hard at the screen cuz i dun have my specs with me
oh. n i'm also feeling fed up that i have to go back to sch later for remedials. oh i'm so looking forward to three hrs of sci tutorials!!!
but i shant go into that for fear of biting ppl's heads off again.

yesterday wasnt wat i wld call a highly productive day, but it wasnt too bad either.
chua mj stood me up for the fourth time in a row but that's ok cuz i finally got some peace and quiet :)
the library is a must for bio.
mac's too noisy and the smell of the deep fried stuff's really naseauting after awhile. n besides u go home smelling like a fastfood place.
after staring at translation for 2hrs and trying to visualise the entire process
i realised this morning that..
the diagram had actually been drawn out in the notes.
then i was so exhausted with all the visualising that i more or less gave up on studying.
whoopee.

to go or not to go?
my sis got into the Dunman Integrated program.
so if she chooses to stay on, she wld basically be spending the nxt 4yrs in dhs.
well she's asking me if she shld really stay on.
wellll..
pros of staying on:
1. privilege as being the pioneer batch of DIP students
2. it's just as good as going to VIP, without having to leave the sch
3. same old good friends
4. familiar environment
on the flip side...
1. lack of interaction with ppl from other schs. how would you learn to work with them then?
2. the Dunman sch spirit.. or lack thereof.
3. imagine the no-freedom life..... long skirt no ankle socks no sling bags etc etc
4. wld they have lectures n tutorials? or they're still using the classroom-style teaching?
5. can you really stand being in the same sch for 6 yrs??
6. where to get the experience of going thru orientations? learning crazy mass dances? going down for match supports? none of this is exactly going to happen at dhs.

think my stand's pretty clear. but still, it's her decision.
if it had been me.. i guess i wld have stayed on. especially if all my friends are staying on.

to quote from jiayun's blog:
"if u tink i dont really lk u very much, chances r ur quite rite..."
i've got something else to add.
"if i dont like you now, chances r i never will"
how true is that!
some people you meet. you just cant click, no matter how hard you try.
i can think of some names from the top of my head straight away.
if i dont like you, i can be quite obvious abt it too
then again. i'm a fabulous liar. :)
usually i show my dislike for certain ppl quite blatantly
unless i have to work with those ppl. then i wld try to suppress those feelings of dislike.
isnt that how it's gonna be in the future anyway?
but if i really hate you, rest assured you wld know
i guess this ability to hide feelings so well is pretty useful
especially when it's for the exact opposite.

New and a bit alarming
Who'd have ever thought that this could be?
True that he's no Prince Charming
But there's something in him that I simply didn't see

taking a walk down memory lane
tsk. i simply cant get any work done.
so i declare myself the rest of the day OFF.
because it's time for yet another walk down memory lane.
jiayin ah. all your fault! i was reading ur old entries in your blog.
i'm going to try to type it as though it had just happened.....................

25-07-03
friday.
eve of the committee announcement!!
we didnt even have a complete committee to announce!
like WHAT?!
was stuck in the tiny tby room all afternoon and frankly, the stuffy room was getting on my nerves.
and what's with all the names flying arnd!!
i didnt support her n i never wld.
n what's the best thing?
i was bloody late for piano. had to take cab. frm tanjong rhu to bukit timah.
when i left. the decision wasnt still finalised.
i really wondered what time they're going to fight until.
well at least for now. there's something to announce tomorrow.
i cant say i'm happy with the results. but what to do?
guess it wld be fine. no syf to worry about.
well. handover tmr. gotta write my passing down letter.

26-07-03
whoo boy. what a long day!
jian tao early in the morn. considering tt i made a total mess of the last jiantao, i was especially careful this time.
i got all my zheng peeps to help me with it! n i was rather surprised when they all contributed readily.
the whole jiantao was hilarious! just before the whole thing started, me n lang saw two dyb jrs pointing excitedly at mj! (who had just gotten rid of his ahpek hairstyle n was now looking all funky) cldnt stop laughing. so when he got up there to present, we were both in fits, screaming his name. haha. bet he was so embarrassed.
oh then we were talking about how he suddenly looked like a MIKE to us.
potluck later in the evening followed by passing down.
my dear jrs bought tons of ingredients for the sandwiches we were supposed to make.
we were all lugging them to the 30 bus stop so that we cld take bus to jiayin's hse.
hell. the bus didnt come after 15mins! n what happened?
the gy ppl just happily cruised up the bus. the GUYS especially! NOT giving a damn that we were ALL GIRLS carrying like dozens of cans of food!
oh boy was i fuming. but what to do. we cant blame gy for always producing ill-mannered guys anyway. :)
the sandwich making session at yin's hse was pretty much chaos.
thankgoodness her father was so understanding! n he still offered to fetch us back to sch as we were all running late.
food looked edible much to our relief. but we had great fun :D
passing down...
i didnt plan what i was going to say.
somehow all the things just came out on it own.
how happy i had been.
the fabulous friends i made.
the fun i had being in the com.
i stuck it thru. no tears! although fai was saying i looked like i was going to break down.
but as i heard everyone of them giving their speeches, i knew i cldnt hold back until the end of the day.
when the whole ceremony ended n everybody left the LT, we gathered in a grp hug.
then the tears came.
pretty emotional.
the previous com was obviously shocked at our behaviour.
they expected us to be happy about passing down.
n i was pissed off when some of them thought we were putting on an act!
good grief. just because your com was a mess doesnt mean we are!
i feel sorry for them.
their batch was known as one of the failures of coms. a terrible combination of people who cant work together. what wld they know about the true meaning of being together working together as a committee!
well whatever.
potluck wasnt as bad as we thought.
our sandwiches were eaten, contrary to popular belief. just that the tuna ones didnt look too appetising n most of them were left behind.
halfway thru the dinner i realised that i left my physics txtbook in my locker!
got lang to go with me. but realised that the entire sch was dark. no lights.
so we got mj too. haha.
me n lang were terrified while walking up the stairs to the fourth level.
tell u man. it aint fun walking in pitch darkness. what's more with all the supposedly haunted paintings at every level.
i was clutching mj's arm n so was lang. haha so tightly until i think he was more scared than any of us.
but we still managed to get the books. n we were all in one piece. haha.
yep..
a gd day.
sad though..

02-08-03
prelims exactly a MONTH away!
n we still have one last huge assignment.
the 30th anniversary dinner.
but for tonight. we get our just rewards. JTS!
i woke up early this morning with every intention to get some work done.
but i didnt.
i took out all the files i was supposed to hand over to mabel.
i looked thru them all over again.
for the last time..
my attendance file.
suddenly had a spark of inspiration. started writing a long letter.
every other sectional leader had theirs too. but none as long as mine.
everything i wanted to say. it's in that letter.
i spent almost 3 hrs writing it!
then it was time to go to school for the official handing over.
almost late AGAIn thanx to the never reliable 158.
i rushed in. thank goodness they were running late too.
passing down happened so quickly
luckily everybody was more of in a jovial mood. i wldnt be able to stand it if the atmosphere was sad again!
oh then guolaoshi got the whole co to sing the song for the 30th anniversary dinner.
damn funny i tell u. because at the high notes many went out of tune!
yes we were supposed to set a good example, but in the end, me mj lang n kes ended up hiding behind the com, pretending to sing along.
the new com had meeting with huiling. so the old peeps had nothing to do until dinnertime.
so what do we do?
what we always do.
captain's ball!
great fun. but tiring.
but we all had JTS to look forward to.
suntec marche.
too many of us n too late.
had to wait almost one hr before we cld get two big enough tables!
so we were slacking outside. playing silly games.
kes n wes were playing chinese chess on the floor can you believe it!
hilarious.
we finally got in. dinner was fabulous. TOTALLY.
n of the course the best part was that we didnt have to pay a single cent.
it was soOO much more fun n nicer than the JTS last yr.
whoa. payed $50 n the food sucked! not to mention the weird atmosphere.
so in conclusion.
a wonderful day..

09-08-03
30th anniversary dinner
lemme summarise everything in 10 steps according to chronological order.
1. went to sch early in the morning. three weeks to prelims!!
2. pretty much nothing for me to do. so i went to the hall n watched them prepare for the dinner. played badminton out of boredom
3. things start to get busy in the late afternoon. was busy setting up the tables. then came the table cloths, the little pots of water for the floating candles yada yada.
4. the stupid candles along the steps of the stage! you light one, the wind extinguishes it the next second. thankful for some jrs who helped out willingly.
5. dinnertime! the seniors start arriving. cannot imagine how old some of them are! some even brought their kids along with them. some of them had been together ever since they were in CO back then. amazing. i stuck outside with lang at the entrance.
6. hunger got the better of us. i snuck back in and grabbed two plates of food. blehh. for the amt they're paying, the food sure sucks. tasteless and all soggy.
7. watched the old videos they played. coooll. tried to mix arnd with some of my seriously old seniors but didnt know what to say.
8. highlight of the day: the song we had to sing. two batches of committee. singing at the top of our voices. nobody cared abt their image for once :D pretty high.
9. sighh. we had to do the clearing up hadnt we? dragged the thousands of chairs back to the classrooms which were all in a mess. tired sweaty by the end of the day. slunked back to the co room for some much needed aircon.
10. n so that was the very last assignment of dhsco com 02-03.

oh what a bloody long entry.
i will always remember
the days after sch.
like clockwork.
turning into the CO room after coming down the stairs.
even if there was nth for me to do.
like conditioned reflex actions.
just hanging out with the ppl i'm so comfortable with.

well gone are those days.
this entry will the memories alive.

well what do you know.
i seriously cannt study at home. fullstop.
so i was doing my complex nos (hell why does he have to go thru this first!!!)
then i got kinda bored bcuz i didnt wat i was doing.
i gotta read the entire thing from 6.1 again man.
then came intro to organic chem.
i was lying on my bed
when the nxt thing i knew
i got woke up by the phone.
n DAMNNIT! it's 12 already!
yes so after this entry. i'm off to some serious studying.

i was having some weird random thoughts last night.
then this question popped out.
'why are people so superficial?'
nobody. absolutely NObody in this world can say proudly that he or she isnt superficial.
or at least from all the people i know.
looks most important. everything else comes next.
here's a typicial scenario: girl sees guy. guy's good-looking. girl likes guy. attempts to know guy. gets to know the guy. gets together with guy.
well of course the last part may not necessarily happen. but the point is.
why did she bother even knowing the guy at first?
aint it because she liked the look of him?
perhaps after she realises the guy isnt the kind she wants, then she forgets about him.
but still.
it's LOOKS first.
trust me honey. looks are everything
and to come to my most important point of all.
looks are everything because:
the person u like is beautiful to you. no matter what others say.
so he/she may not be the sch belle or hunk.
but he/she is still gorgeous. to you only.
hence.
it's still abt looks right??
just that i've just put it in a much nicer way.
there's nothing wrong abt being superficial.
everyone is.
i am too! *shrugs*

anyway i have realised how fast people can back out of things they say.
especially when a special person is involved.
ahh.
but the point is.
if you dont give yourself the golden chance that had just fallen from heaven.
you're so gonna regret it later on.
so. LIVE LIFE!
after promos that is.

cheerios!

Love, Me
Love, Me --- Colin Raye

I read a note my grandma wrote back in nineteen twenty-three.
Grandpa kept it in his coat, and he showed it once to me.
he said,"boy, you might not understand, but a long, long time ago,
Grandma's daddy didn't like me none, but i loved your grandma so."

We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together.
Get married in the first town we came to, and live forever.
But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet, instead of her,
i found this letter, and this is what it said:

If you get there before i do, don't give up on me.
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long i'll be.
But i'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till i see you again,
I'll be loving you.
love, me.

I read those words just hours before my grandma passed away
In the doorway of a church where me and grandpa stopped to pray.
I know i'd never seen him cry in all my fifteen years;
But as he said these words to her, his eyes filled up with tears.

If you get there before i do, don't give up on me
I'll meet you when my chores are through;
I don't know how long i'll be.
But i'm not gonna let you down, darling wait and see.
And between now and then, till i see you again,I'll be loving you.
love, me.
Between now and then, till i see you again,I'll be loving you. l
love, me.

bland banal boring
oh the last day of term 3.
what a bland banal boring day.
highlights of the day:
1. GP essay!! whoopee. spent almost 3 hrs racking my brains trying to finish it. congratulate me please. i'm so going to fail this time.
2. i got my photo!!! thanx to poh's camera n jam's excellent photography skills.:P a little blur perhaps. but it's something nevertheless. heh heh.
p.s: STRICTLY eyecandy ONLY!

anyway. liren was talking to me abt some stuff while we were writing GP essay.
no wonder we only managed to finish at 4 plus!!
nevertheless. he brought up some very good points worth pondering over.
i guess..
evrythng i have done so far..
it's just a distraction.
of something i wld want to forget. but have not been able to.
*shrugs*
no use wondering over it.
gone. far far away.
well so for now. i guess i wld just have to settle for my photo yea? :)

my friend is a HAPPY friend today!
i'm happy for u too! but dont forget us too quickly yea?
sisters are forever! *evil laughter*
dont worry too much. dont think so much. talk things thru n clear things up. (hey i rhymed!)
yep n everything will be fine n dandy.
btw u two look gorgeous together *wink wink*
so the nxt song is going out to the two of you.
look at the lyrics yea?
nxt time let you listen to the song.

Your Song
It's a little bit funny this feeling inside
I'm not one of those who can easily hide
I don't have much money but boy if i did
I'd buy a big house where we both could live

If i was a sculptor, but then again, no
Or a man who makes potions in a traveling show
I know it's not much but it's the best i can do
My gift is my song and this one's for you
And you can tell everybody this is your song
It may be quite simple but now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that i put down in words
How wonderful life is while you're in the world

I sat on the roof and kicked off the moss
Well a few of the verses well they've got me quite cross
But the sun's been quite kind while i wrote this song
It's for people like you that keep it turned on
So excuse me forgetting but these things i do
You see i've forgotten if they're green or they're blue
Anyway the thing is what i really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes i've ever seen

And you can tell everybody
This is your song
It may be quite simple
But now that it's done
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is now you're in the world
I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
How wonderful life is now you're in the world

word of the day: pystsesmms aoubyb.
dont bother. no one can figure it out. except for jam maybe. :)

cheers ppl. it's time to mug your brains out again.

wellllll.....
just reached home abt half n hr ago.
i saw something which literally made my heart grow cold.
how do i put it so i dont mention names?
what somebody told us a couple of days ago was actually true after all.
i saw it.
i think we didnt want to believe it at first. always hoping things wld return to the way it was.
well i guess there's no more hope.
boy do i feel like kicking that guy's ass.
tell me! in which way, ANY way at all, is he better than our friend!
we used to say. if they cant make it, no one else can.
i'm disappointed with her too.
i cant quite believe she wld do it.
but.. she's my friend. n we wld all respect her decision.
just that...
why??

none of my business anyway.

always 2nd best
heyyaa.

wat a long lazy break.
managed to squeeze in a bit of studying, but wasnt much.
teachers' day performance was fab. in fact, i think all victorians were so proud of their teachers tt when they got back to their sec schs they were all talking abt it.
really funny. now i see where the sch gets their culture from.
i mean can u imagine any other sch teachers willing to lose face in front of all their students on teachers day?
cooooll.

went back dhs after the performance.
haha. all 30+ of us( n tt's like only 1/4 of the whole lot of us who came here) filled up the entire 608.
wat can i say. i love my alma mater. but seriously.. can they put up more interesting performances tt dont repeat yr after yr??
oh but i did hear a very powerful rendition of christina aguilera's reflections. quite amazing in fact.
jia n i were chatting to the Lus! haha. i was more of complaining rather. abt.. stuff. well. he said it cant be helped. *shrugs*
mdm ong is still so cute!
didnt want to go talk to helmi at first, but 4E went so i had to go along. well it didnt turn out so bad after all. n for some reason he sTILL reminds me of ronald susilo, just not as cool.
oh. n i finally realised where i acquired my stoning skills from. you know that kind? where u look like u're paying attention but actually ur mind is elsewhere? ahh. whenever ttk launches into one of his CO history stories, my mind just switches off. seriously. i have managed to look like i'm listening to him, n i can do so up to 2hrs. :D
ah. i love dhs. n forever my dhsco.

afterwards, me jiayin mj yuexin huimin n zhi went bugis for lunch.
tell u man. hadnt had such fun for a long time.
basically yin n i were laughing at mj's silly antics all the way. typical! sorry dude. but tt means u're cute enough for us to laugh at eh? haha.
n yin!! the neoprints we painstakingly took, in the end we canceled out the ones we didnt one!!!!
haha so we ended up with two horrendously funny neoprints.
one with zhi walking past the camera lens like sadako.
n the other with, ahem, jiayin's beautiful pose. (cue mj's hysterical laughter) oh n mj looking all angelic in the photo.
but really. we look good. haha. natural!
then there was shangyin.
mj busy fending off advances from teacher tian n wang mama. (one wants to marry her daughter to him n the other wants to marry him) yin n me hid in the room downstairs rotting away cuz we cldnt find the zheng ppl!!
in the end they moved to another room outside.
n somebody, naturally, thought the full-length window was a sliding door n attempted to open it.
tsktsk. my jrs n teacher cldnt stop laughing.
ok la. nice guy for helping us open the door!

so in the end, the person who wanted to go mugging ended up spending the most time outside.
and who said they wld reach mac at 8 today to study!!!
thank goodness i was smart enough to know that they wld surely stand me up.
so i reached at 9.45. thank goodness yin n co arrived half n hr later!!
if not i wld have to be there all alone until 12 when the two lazy pigs finally showed up.
it was so NOT a fruitful day.
because we were all too distracted. n zhi's hse is too comfy. :P
oh this is a note to jam. huizhi's brother LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE TC IN ONE OF HIS PHOTOS!
shld have sat with ahyin n co at the dining table instead of lying on the sofas in the living room.
all three of us ended up napping on hydrocarbons.
THEN we were distracted by dhsco vcds!
we started by watching the 2002 vcd. tian shan sheng hui. one of my fav songs.
then we were all laughing at kes. who's silly behaviour had unfortunately been CAUGHT ON TAPE! because he was sitting RIGHT BEHIND THE SOLOIST!! n the camera happened to ZOOM IN ON HIM!
haha. go check it out man. u look funny.
then we were all suddenly in the dhsco-mood so we watched most of the 2003 vcd too.
taking turns to make fun alternatively at mj's ahpek hairstyle n my yucky specs.
so cldnt really get down to study after all the excitement.
then zhi took out her camera n started taking vids of us!!
oh n she got mj to pose for her. happy-angry-sad-happy?-chiobu-yandao-pose. *roOllls eyes*
so when we were watching the sch belle show on chan8, we were saying when mj becomes a star on chan8 we can sell that video for tons of cash. :)
apparently his sister tried to send his particulars for tt show but somehow failed!
but think Jcs dont allow such shows to come anyway?
haha. funny.

sigh. time for sch tmr yet again.
it's week 10 for goodness sake.

i was wondering.
have i always been second best?
refusing to accept that fact n living in denial?
i still do not think so.
but in the eyes of others. i'm never the best. NEVER.
they see whats on the surface n not whats within.
i may lose upfront. but hidden ones?i dont think so.
in one area i can accept it graciously.
but in the other. no.
has it always been this way? fighting for the best?
or am i just a victim of my own paranoia.
i am good n i know it.
yet others believe otherwise. n the way some put it. hell. it sucks.
oh who cares what they say.
after all. i am the one who can put off practice n yet still be good.
how's that for true talent?

wat am i talking abt anyway!
whole load of rubbish.
ignore what i said please.
