caught the long awaited Pirates today with the usual vjco people. well worth the money, i say, because it's a bloody long movie and it's just as funny and entertaining as the last two ones. awesome fighting scenes! johnny depp was hilarious as usual, and keith richard's appearance was funny too. (because apparently johnny depp portrayed jack sparrow after keith richard ie half drunk 24/7. HAHA)

but i'm just not too happy about the ending. i DO NOT LIKE WHAT ORLANDO BLOOM ENDED UP AS :( but man, is he YUMMY or what. he should be on the List of people who are Too Gorgeous to be True, along with wentworth miller ;)

haha this photo makes me crack up so bad. seah doesnt want you to see her act-cute face, which is actually okay lor. nicer than this black circle anyway.

HAHA. so damn classic. seah looks horrified at my act of spastic-ness.

william: "you smile exactly the same in all the pictures one lor" YAH. not ACT PRETTY enough right? hahaha.

jj complained that everytime he looks at my blog, he sees pictures of goodlooking actors. heh. okay here's more then!

HUNK OF THE DAY: wentworth miller

sigh. he is indeed, quote unquote, "heart stoppingly good looking" and "mind numbingly hot". too bad for the rumours that he bats for the same team, if you know what i mean. :( what a waste!

and two more pictures of orlando bloom.
damn, how pretty is he?!

oh oh, and i am so happy because all the old hongkong serials are on crunchyroll! yes, including all the old CID dramas that we used to watch back during the dunman days. :)

-chortles-

my rotting session with seah turned out to be a hiking trip at sentosa with chua mj. -.-. yes, it's just like mj to come up with such an idea.
it all started when seah had to go for her job interview last minute just when i was ready to leave the house to meet her at TM, so i was thinking, alright, a nice couple more hours of watching old jap dramas
mj then messaged me (i reckoned it's because yuexin and huizhi are working, jiayin etc are overseas. HUH!) and asked me if i was free about 5 minutes later. since i was effectively NOT doing anything, i thought, why not? then all of us could meet up afterwards, lovely! :)

so anyhow, 1/2 hour of rotting at coffee bean was apparently more than mj could stand and so he suggested hopping over to sentosa, and since we haven't been there since, sec2 level camp perhaps, we obliged.

seah insisted on taking this picture. got holiday feel ma. hahaha

i like this picture! PRETTY!

yes i know, lots of touristy pictures. oh yes this is also the beach where we had our sec2 level camp! ah, lovely memories :)

the machine that cheated mj of his one dollar coin

NAH! another "in deep thoughts" photo for your Friendster!

mj wants you to note that we're at the Southern Most Point of the Asian Continent.

it is seriously not fun to trek over sandy beaches in jeans and heels alright? mj next time you want to go sandy areas please give ample notice. haha.

after this photo my camera battery finally died on me. the day ended with a nice meal at Food Republic, and we went home (okay poor mj went back to camp), tired, sticky but happy people :)

i could get used to life like this.

bloody depressed because my throat is hoarse from coughing so hard, the medicine is not doing anything except make me feeling so doped up that i sleep the afternoon away, and also because Heroes has reached its season finale :( and i cannot watch Prison Break 2 because for some reason the show makes me even more depressed

(maybe it's due to the fact that i know there's a season 3 which means that there's no conclusion in the second season and it would be another whole damn round of running and hiding and i don't like to see the bad guys catching the good guys and that's PRECISELY WHY people lost interest in LOST. chope chope finish in 2 seasons can?? having said that, can i just digress and say that wentworth miller has the most mindblowingly-gorgeous pair of eyes? pictures don't do them justice! this guy is crazily goodlooking man.)
oh ya and because of this bloody cough i cannot go out shopping!!

ah i feel the approaching storm of a fever.

i think i shall amuse myself with 娱乐百分百, since PB is so depressing.

there's a shop in Marina Square that should be previously known as e-base or something (the clothes still has their tags but the shop has a different name). the clothes they sell, i've got only one word to describe it.

FUGLY.

okay i take that back. fugly doesn't even begin to describe the level of ridiculousness of these clothes. it's so bad that it makes you wonder if the designers came up with these clothes as a joke to see how many idiots would actually buy it, or maybe they were experimenting with the avant-garde look and then failing spectacularly. it's so bad that only people going to costume parties, or circus clowns, would buy them.

it's definitely so bad that each piece of clothing only served to make me, yuexin and huizhi laugh so hard that we nearly cried. i didn't manage to take pictures of the incriminating evidence because our hysterical laughter attracted the attention of the sales assistant and she came over to tell us that the clothes were 60% off, which of course only caused us to laugh even harder.

BUT! i did manage to take pictures of their equally disgusting shoes. this is no longer a fashion faux pas. this is a spectacular fashion disaster.

oh my god the garish colours make me want to PUKE. MY EYES!!! and they must be out of their minds to think that people would actually pay 30 plus bucks for something that should be condemed to the Hell of Terrible Fashion.

so besides the Encounter with Fugly Clothes, the rest of the day was a pleasant one with us strolling around MS, having dinner at the MS food court, which was literally dinner by the bay (lovely place!) and then finally with 50% off dessert at Cafe Cartel together with stories about ridiculous relatives. haha. we should do this more often! :)

i think it's always so calming when it's raining outside, i have the aircon on and Love Songs is playing on Class 95. soothing :)

so anyway it was the last day of work! we can safely say that we did no work save for a couple of last minute customers and spent the last few hours sitting around, talking, eating toast and watching magic tricks, like any other day really haha. but it was kind of a downer, since most of the people were already let off work on thursday, so there were only a bunch of us left. (and one of my nbs friends was fired most unfairly, no thanks to the biased agent!! pity, 'cos once he left it seemed alot quieter :() and since the exhibition today ended at 1pm, we could all go off at the same time.

the view from my desk. oh that's my partner by the way. in 7 days i changed a total of 4 partners -.-

and when the cashier desk gets a lil boring, seah comes over to talk rot. haha

the pretty amanda!

small and cute jiayuan!

we deal with unreasonable customers who want to go in and freeload but refuse to pay the entrance fee.

yes fugly uniforms, what did i tell you?

after work it was an AWESOME lunch with mol (who was having a bad day which then gives him and subsequently, me, a reason to eat whatever we want and worry later hee hee). satisfied my cravings for clam chowder at Soup Spoon; soup makes me happy! oh yes, and Good Friend happened to be at suntec so i was able to see his new haircut and introduce seah, lamer no.1 to Good Friend, fellow lamer. :) stop harping about your hair can? it is FINE.

gastronomical lunch topped off with lovely hokkaido icecream :)

the happy people with their food!

it was a good good day :)

okay i'm back simply because it's so much easier to post pictures here, and being the camwhore i am, that's extremely important indeed.
i suppose i could use Flickr or something to host my pictures, then paste the code on wordpress, but i'm just too lazy to do it. heh.

so anyway some long overdue updates! (thank you lyd for the pics! i know you busy lah!)
exactly one week ago, lyd and i made our way down to SCH to help out (ie. go in and watch the performances) for vjco. since we had to do some backstage work, we thus had a legitimate reason to wear our vj uniforms again! YAY-NESS i tell you. i can dislike every single thing about vj with its poseurs and kantangs, but i will always love the uniform because it just rocks! and since we're both camwhores, this naturally meant lots of pictures in our uniforms! yes we so fitted in, with our bright brown hair and all.

erm yes about vjco. i thought they did pretty well and the Gold was expected. but oh well, we can never just hit the GWH. there's always two years later! :)

see who we met! cute junior chaihong!
haha yes we love our vj uniforms

after that was the cookiebaking session with seah and jieying. this time we were alot more successful although we did ended up with one charcoal black round of cookies. haha we're not very domesticated. but it was a fun afternoon with Scary Movie 3, some Thai horror movie that turned out not very horrifying, and the cool Butterfly Effect and all the junk food we could eat :) we should have more of these sessions!

the good, the okay and the really cancer-inducing-bad.

last day of work tomorrow, and i honestly think i am going to miss it! i can see why people return to this job year after year, even though the pay isn't too hot and the work can be meaningless - it's the people and the friends you make that brings them back! long hours of work seem much shorter when you are having fun just chatting and playing stupid games and laughing yourselves silly :)

well one more day!

well, so the last couple of days has left me pretty much bankrupt. i desperately need a job, yet at the same time the thought of having to go back to work leaves me a little sick.

thursday saw me traipsing across singapore to good ol' boon lay where shuxian lives, for an afternoon of slacking and playing with her pup cookie. haha he's the most adorable little ball of fur ever, but so hyper and enthusiastic that even i got abit scared (and of course seah was already about ten metres away screaming hahaha :P)

poor pup is in a cage because seah is deathly afraid that he would go and smother her with puppy licks hahaha. and i cannot carry him as well because he's way too enthusiastic :P

aw look at that! it's so cute that he keeps really still when we take photos of him!

later on, dinner was at chomp chomp with the com guys (minus mollie who had to study for SATS. haha too bad!) unbelievable leh. we said to meet at 7, i turned up at 7.40 knowing that both of them would be late, in the end i was still the earliest!! food was good though, and i was completely charmed by the serangoon gardens village. i LOVE quaint little places like these; siglap, holland village, serangoon gardens.. okay i know where i want to live next time!

friday was shopping with seah to vivo and bugis street, followed by the much awaited slacking session at changi airport. oh! and we saw soon kiat who was on guard duty at the airport, and i have to say this: ULTIMATE COOLNESS! haha, we were completely amused, but at the same time still cannot get over how COOL he looked! guys in their smart army uniform, with shades and rifle? very, very cool ;)

and today was the karaoke session with the usual vjco people at the sleazy, but oh-so-cheap dynasty (eh, whatever the name is) karaoke lounge. after dinner, me seah and jj hopped over to clarke quay where i visited my cool friend shanjing at the restaurant he was working at, as a chef, mind you! chef! finally it was just some aimless chatting at TCC over drinks, where everybody (well okay, me and seah) was a little moody and we started talking about the same ol' things all over again. this is getting really old, but there's seriously nothing much we can do about it, so, what the heck. -shrugs-

lack of photos because so far everybody i've went out with either doesn't like taking pictures too much, or i just forgot to do so. but hey, tomorrow lunch with mollie? time to camwhore yes, my dear? :)
