i think if i can bite my tongue and stop myself from making snide insults, you can jolly well do the same too.

i need a hug. berniceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ;(

WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE WHO CAN HUMOUR ME? I NEED THEM, STAT!
i'm going to call wil first thing in the morning to gossip. hahaha

it's ridiculous. really.

my logic is that, if i can do so much for you, you should reciprocate. and even if you can't, you should at least be NOT moving away from that. i don't think that's a lot to expect, is it? i try to be the best to all my friends, and all i ask of is for you to be just a tad more considerate and tactful about the things you do and say. sure, once or twice, i can shrug it off as a joke. but you multiply that by the countless times you've been rude or tactless, the feeling of annoyance and irritance is bound to intensify.
sometimes, the little things add up, and all it needs is just another seemingly insiginificant incident to open the floodgates.

digression.
my friend, whose bf recently told her that his ex-gf was prettier than her, was scolding him on the phone.
friend: "where got pretty lor! even minyan is prettier than her!"
me: "OI! -.-"

whahahahaha. so funny.

alright i'm feeling mucho better. blame it on PMS, work, whatever yada yada.

yesterday was just awesomeeeeee :) well in the sense that i got to meet up with all my favourite people in the short span of half a day.

started with mj coming over to ntu to meet me zhi and yx for lunch at Can 2. and mj! thanks for being such a helpful sweetie ya? -winks-
after that we headed over to alexander hospital where mj got his stitches removed for his wisdom tooth operation.
THEN, we cabbed over to airport where bernice and wilfred were (yay havent seen good ol' wil in EONS!) the original plan was to study, which failed miserably because we all couldnt stop talking until dinnertime.
dinner at swensens, then it was time for me yx and mj to go over to jiayin's house to pick her up before mj drove all of us (picking up kes along the way) to serangoon gardens for supper at liquid kitchen.

look! we have blue streaks in our hair!

hahah i love how we all acted as though we didnt have work to do :P

and just now, a msn conversation with Good Friend which made me laugh so damn loud (i swear, this is the funniest one, ever) oh, the unspeakable things we talked about! rude, crude and downright unrepeatable about disgusting people (what with S&M, slaves and the like)! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

and i love all my friends who help mend my ego with very nice (but, indulging, i know!) remarks. heh i appreciate it! :D

wahahahahhaha. funny photo. too bad i dont have it in bigger size.

like i said, indulge me. heehee :)

they say it's love when
1. you are able to see past all the flaws
2. finally, you understand the meaning of "as long as he/she's happy, i'm happy for him/her"
all you want is that person to be happy, even if you're not part of their happiness
3. it's unconditional
4. you're always comparing every single other person to them
5. seeing something that reminds you of them makes you smile
6. you forgive and forget all the times that they made you unhappy. suddenly those things seem so insignificant
7. the room just seems to light up when they smile or laugh

but then again. where do we draw the line between love and oneitis?

i feel inexplicably exasperated.
i think some people really need to die, literally, before i can start feeling forgiving.
yes, very vindictive and poisonous. but sometimes i don't see how there's fairness. where's the karma? HELLO KARMA?! NEED SOME HELP HERE.
why is that some people are allowed to get away with bloody murder and not be punished for it?! (not in the literal sense, of course) why does karma allow these people to screw others around over and over again and let them go on with their happy lives with the fucked up attitude that they can do pretty much whatever they damn well please and have fate on their sides? (and they usually do, which makes this even more frustrating. because they know, and they can get away with anything)
is there a balance in any of this? or are all these (unfortunately-for-society)-blessed people just going to continue to have their way while the rest of us just sit here and wonder where's the fairness?

HOW? how come some people can screw up so many people and still go on with their lives with absolute conviction that their consciences are clear?! is it that the lack of karma feeds their sense of empowerment, that there's absolutely no way that things could ever go wrong with them? who's going to stop all these people before they go around harming more?!

and 214 is pissing the hell outta me.
i want to quit school lar. screw all this school work shit.

i'm having a crappy week. :(
i just feel so sick of everything, and even the usual stuff that perks me up, like shopping does no good.

but monday and tuesday were good! :)
on monday, liren was bored and demanded that we met him. hahaha.
dinner at siglap's KFC with the ktv boys and then poh drove us back to liren's place for some ktv.

on tuesday, i happily assumed that yuexin would be free after school and insisted that mj met us for lunch. what would have been just a simple lunch turned into a mini outing with jiayin, yx and mj to vivocity! yay LOVE these impromptu outings! :D

jiayin drove! :) i crashed the accounting lecture and annoyed the hell outta Good Friend because i couldn't stop talking to him and vandalised his notes too. heehee.

dinner at marche (god knows when was the last time i had marche.) followed by dessert at Ben and Jerry's . a stroll around vivo and then the day came to an end and jiayin drove all of us home.

two assignments - marketing and emotions elective.
both revolving around personal stuff, one slightly more so than the other.

for emotions report, we were supposed to analyse two emotional events of our choice (ie. anger, happy, embarrassement etc) big surprise which emotion i chose.
it should hardly be difficult at all: i dont need to come up with a fake story and i've ranted enough about it. yet i was apprehensive when starting on the report. i actually feared how i would react. because bitchin' about it on your blog is one thing, but crystallising it in a report to be handed in for grading is quite another. yes, i was definitely worried that i won't be able to get a good grade for it. but there's something else.

perhaps, a fear of being forced to analyse it from a rational point of view, from a psychological point of view.
perhaps, a fear of being confronted by all the past emotions, being forced to analyse all those emotions, which means that i have to relive all of them.
hardly the most fun thing to do yes?
i'm halfway through it, and i realised that i'm going to need to cut down quite abit if i want to have room for the second hissy-fit event. hahaha.
Good Friend expressed disgust about mentioning this whole thing in a report (ie. "put this in the report? so flattering la!") but hey, if it gets me a good grade, i don't give a crap man. maybe i'd even get sympathy marks! -chortles-

and as for the other report. not exactly a walk in the park either. forced to analyse my self-image. exhausting man. but i'm done with it and that makes me so damn happy :D working at the airport does wonders indeed!

well, my toes are sore, my calf and thigh muscles are aching like mad, my ears are still ringing, i slept the day away and i'm still groggy, but i got what i was itching to do for a long time, and now i'm happy and ready to settle down and start some real serious studying! :)

yeah, i've been gian-ing to go clubbing after the last particularly disastrous outing at stjames which left me really annoyed that i wasted money on a place where i was either stuck with a spacious dancefloor with the most irritating trance/house/whatever-it-is-it-has-no-rhythm-music ever, or a cramped-to-the-brim-dancefloor with rnb.
ok so we went to phuture which wasn't any better with regards to space. (got my rnb fix though! awesome music) in fact at few points of time it was so goddamn packed with people that we couldn't even do anything but STAND STILL at the same spot.
and isn't it just nasty when girls get themselves so drunk that they collapse on the dancefloor and spew all over it? -scowls- have some control man!
anyway, it was pretty worth the money given that we only left around 4, and the drinks actually tasted like they had alcohol (much unlike that of stjames where you could only taste the coke when you order a rum coke. ripoff leh)

taking a breather at zouk. we got so bored by the house music over there we nearly fell asleep. haha.

with ber's friend joyce!

reminder to self: never EVER wear pointy heels to clubbing again. around 2am my feet and even my back were hurting so badly i gave up and took off my shoes. and yes it's digusting :(

and i can't believe i got checked at the door. DO I LOOK 18 TO YOU?!

it's very odd. i just realised that i tend to transfer all my worries and annoyance about school work to other things that usually shouldn't bother me quite so much, such that suddenly i start to get quite upset about them. and then once i settle all the school-related crap, i immediately feel cheery once again.
school work - the root of all evil, really.

sorry ah, minyan is bored. and when minyan is bored she likes to ramble about irrelevant stuff on her blog, even though she doesn't really have anything to talk about. and really, she should be catching up on sleep instead of watching House. (which really rocks, but let me talk more about that later)

just finished the one thing that marred my entire week - bloody ab213 presentation. haven't mentioned how much i can't stand this stupid module have i? bloody SPSS. bloody constructs. bloody research models. stupid biased tutor. what an absolute waste of my time for the stupid 3AUs. i have a better shot at TCM for the same number of AUs lar. and yes, it has to be the one and only tutorial on a friday. thank god for friday night's plans! bernice and ah fai!! looking forward to it very very much :D

and being extremely random, i msged seah out of the blue on msn one day just to tell her that i only realised very recently that beyonce's Irreplaceable was everything but a love song!
wa lau misleading title can?
yes, that would be the "to the left, to the left" song for the rest of you :)
far from a sappy love song, hence i like it very much :D

So go ahead and get gone
And call up on that chick and see if she is home
Oops, I bet ya thought that I didn't know
What did you think I was putting you out for?
Cause you was untrue
Rolling her around in the car that I bought you
Baby you dropped them keys hurry up before your taxi leaves

Standing in the front yard telling me
How I am such a fool
Talking about how I'll never ever find a man like you
You got me twisted

You must not know about me
You must not know about me
I could have another you in a minute
matter fact he'll be here in a minute - baby
You must not know about me
You must not know about me
I will have another you by tomorrow
So don't you ever for a second get to thinking you're irreplaceable

Baby I wont shead a tear for you
I won't lose a wink of sleep
Cause the truth of the matter is
Replacing you is so easy

just imagine it with a dismissive swish of your hair and rolling of eyes, if you'd please! LOVE THE SONG. (even though i couldn't understand a single word of the song before Googling the lyrics, and could only hear the line "you're irreplaceable". MISLEADING)

oh yes, and on to House. well, trust me on this, i've never been wrong about which shows that you must absolutely watch. so far i've caused Good Friend to be hooked onto Heroes, My Name is Earl, Sex and The City, American Dad and Friends. why? BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT SHOWS ARE AWESOME :D
(hmm. here's a thought. if this whole marketing thing doesn't work out, i could go and work for, i don't know, the company that brings in all the US shows on cable tv. i could make a fortune. heehee)

yes, House.
even though it's a medical drama which revolves around solving medical mysteries (i like already!) it's also sometimes a comedy thanks to the genius that is Hugh Laurie!

not exactly your run of the mill hunk, but there's something so incredibly charming about him in the show. not to mention he's incredibly sarcastic and is completely hilarious!

yes i have a thing for charismatic and charming guys.
like what i told bernice, the guys that i really liked before (as opposed to superficial, 三分钟热度 crushes which you get over *snaps fingers* that fast anyway. -smirks-) aren't exactly the best-looking people in the world, but have the common charisma that i find so appealing.

oh.
i cracked myself up today
shuxian: "luckily you never go TCM lecture yesterday sia"
me: "why?"
shuxian: "'cos the Asshole was sitting outside the LT at the tables there"
me: "HAHAHA. heng ah. what a good day i chose to skip that lecture!"
shuxian: "yeah.. he was there for quite a long time lah. with a girl"
me: "must be the girlfriend lar. short, 不起眼one right?"
shuxian: "haha. yeah quite short la. short hair i think"
me: "yeah. correct lah, that's the girlfriend. not pretty one right? im definitely prettier lar"
shuxian: (in a tone that i can only describe as, the vocal version of -.-. HAHAHAHHA. SO FUNNY) "yar lar yar lar!"

and then i started laughing and couldn't stop for awhile. heh heh.
well, it was on a thursday evening and i was high on caffeine. gimmeabreak! :)

just a tad juvenile, even for me. and wrong person i should be insulting anyway. heh heh :)

ok i'm sufficiently tired enough to want to go and sleep.
MUST kick my House addiction.

oh my god, i was in a rather bad mood the whole day, what's with undone projects and assignments and all, until i found an entire treasure trove of full House episodes on tudou.com!!!

and now i am so happppppy :D

oh have i not mentioned before? House is another AWESOME show i started watching lately. it's like a combination of CSI and Grey's Anatomy minus all the draggy character development subplots. I LIKE :)

belated 2j mid-autumn festival class gathering! the number of people just gets lesser and lesser, but what the heck, those who matters are there! :)

dinner at fish and co.
stupid-photos taking ensued. haha.

yeah. NINE PICTURES over ONE huge drink. we are indeed too damn boliao.

haha i love this picture! unbridled laugher! :)

even in the toilet, we could take so many photos. poor hoifai was left waiting for the camwhores. hahaha.

oh, this is such a MEMEME and ONLYME photo. hahah

we're all having different actions!

after dinner, me ber and hoifai went over to Liquid Kitchen at Serangoon Gardens because we thought 1030 was way too early for us to head home. damn. this is really the wrong time for me to start having a nightlife.

a night of bitchin', gossiping and reminiscing made friday yet another productive and full one! :)
and if things go well, next friday may very well be another looooong one, leading into saturday haha. boy am i feeling guilty about all these outings!! WHY AM I ACTING LIKE IT'S STILL THE HOLIDAYS?! i seriously need to buck up and start mugging hard soon, and i should start by not skipping any more elective lectures.

damnit. my GPA is so going to suffer this semester.

okay. i am going to revive the Hardworking Me From Last Semester once friday is over. that would mean reading the Consumer Behaviour and Research Methods textbook from the top, and maybe start deciphering the TCM notes. (STILL haven't got around to doing this. it's disgusting)

it's a post full of random thoughts.

sometimes, people judge way too quickly.
sometimes, they judge a person's character based on the person's appearance. and that's how rumours are started. but of course, rumours are never started based on groundless accusations. but they can, and usually are, blown out of proportion.
and very often, people judge when they hear one side of a story, neglecting the whole picture, and hurry to take sides.

and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, because it's only our instinct to jump to our friends' defense, and we're quick to conclude that it must be the other party's fault, and lash out accordingly.

i would know, because i'm one of those siao people who is fiercely protective of my close friends. and in the past i have assumed extremely quickly that it was the other person who hurt my friend, and hence must bear the brunt of my harsh words. -grimaces- and well, i may have or may not have been entirely accurate, but nobody deserves to be so quickly sent to the guillotine even before a proper hearing.

and recently, i asked a friend of mine whether he/she would ever let this close friend of his/hers in on one of his/her darkest secrets, his/her reply was an extremely resounding 'no'. because apparently this close friend was too narrow-minded.
and on different occasions, friends have made the comments that since a certain Asshole was, well, how he was as a person (ie a complete asshole and bastard haha) then why on earth does he still have any friends?

two seperate incidents, but somehow i have the same conclusion i want to make : if you are a good friend, you do not, and should NEVER judge your friend.
let's put it this way, if my good friend was an asshole who f**ks around (*cough*) but is still a completely lovely friend to me, i would never care about what he does outside of the life that i see. i may not approve totally of how you are treating other people, but i would never condemn your actions. it's only when he hurts any of my friends or myself would i then completely condemn this person.

and yeah, as for judging a person's character by his/her appearance, it's just way too easy and we're all guilty of that. up til today i still feel vaguely ashamed of how quickly i jumped to conclude about somebody's character based purely on appearance.

anyway, went a-muggin' with mol today after school @ changi airport. not too bad, since i finished the set of ab213 notes for today's lecture: A MIRACLE, PLEASE APPLUADE. but mol is VERY NOISY AND DISTRACTING LAR. hahaha. and when i'm distracted i like to take pictures.

i think mol looks nice in this photo leh? for some reason has a Raymond Lam vibe. HAHA. COMPLIMENT OF THE YEAR LEH MOL.

and i don't know why, but guys in marketing generally give me a very idontgiveacrapaboutanythingtodowithwork vibe. and yeah, before i stereotype all of 'em, i'd just like to point out it's just a couple of them in my class, who turn up whenever they damn well please, presenting rubbish work etc... makes very gao3 wei4 lah.
and if all marketing guys turn out to be like that, i can jolly well give up the idea that i'd ever be attached in the next 5 years. i need somebody to pull red string can. -looks extremely pointedly at seah- HAHAHAHAHA. jokin' lar. :P

yup. told you it's going to be very random.

how do you know when during an argument, the other party cannot/doesn't know how to continue with his or her case anymore: they usually go "whatever"/do not answer your question/make some other irrelevant comment and leave quickly before they embarrass themselves further.

what complete morons. -rolls eyes-

the weather is dark, rainy and gloomy.

AND I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! it's putting me in such a fantastic mood :)

and i'm lovin' my new house. it's so much more spacious compared to the old, even though it's single-storey. and it's clean, bright and it makes me happy :D oh, and i love that the neighbourhood is self-contained and has loads of yummy food. and love the walks home from the mrt station at night (not so much in the morning when i'm in a hurry and the weather is sweltering)

happy :)

because i am extremely fed up with myself for wasting what could have been a perfectly productive day, i thought i would just quit staring at the stupid Paris Hilton slides half-heartedly and instead waste my time whole-heartedly.

i currently CANNOT STAND

1. people who type english sentences in the same manner as how they would speak chinese, such that the sentence structuring is extremely awkward and an absolute torture to read. SEEK HELP TODAY! oh, and people who have bad grammar, and can't spell properly. (don't worry yuexin! i know the "duman" thing is not your mistake! hahahaha)

2. little miss tees. -gags- HELLO, PASSE?! MOVE ON PLEASE. nothing cute about being a Little Miss-Whatever. GET A GRIP. -rolls eyes- (oh but if you are my friend, then never mind lah. hahaha) littlemisswanker more like it.
(yes i am extremely biased hahaha)

3. PEOPLE WHO CANNOT ARTICULATE OR SPEAK PROPERLY/ANNOYING VOICES. SPEAK UP! oh what? you can't? then please get lost before i blow my brains out trying to figure out what the hell you are trying to say. or rather, i blow YOUR brains out for torturing me.

4. people delaying work-related stuff. grouchy. -scowls-

5. people who let their own unpleasant mood affect everybody in a group. as i was telling bernice yesterday, if i can act happy for everybody's benefit when in a group, these people can jolly well realise that they can do the same instead of giving a black face and a non-answer when questioned what's wrong. FRIGGIN' IRRITATING.

6. and in the same breath, people who keep harping on the same old story over and over again to their friends. yup, that's ME. I AM SORRY, PEOPLE! FOR WASTING YOUR TIME! :( i will try to minimise rants and complaints of stupid, childish bastards! (Good Friend you are not spared though. hahahaha)

alright. time effectively wasted. back to work.
and as you can see, i am extremely annoyed and irritated, with work in general. hence taking it out here. :)

there you have it. my Good Friend. cracks me up like no other and always hits the nail on the head! :D and seriously, who would have such strong feelings towards somebody he's not even related to? (alright, i am the Good Sister, after all. hahaha. and the poor fellow does share the same name, eh, my Good Friend DEREK? hahahahaha)

some people are just sooooooooooooooo friggin' childish anyway! -rolls eyes and sighs pityingly- just serves to reflect real badly on your already souless character.

this is what it's like listening to you talk:
incoherent, cannot be understood, and a load of bullshit.

anyway i'm in a great mood today! :) a rather productive day with bernice @ the airport. 2 hrs of laptop battery life was sufficient for me to more or less be done with my bm212 slides, a feat which would never have been achieved if i had stayed at home. and a vague reading of my Emotions note. PRODUCTIVE, AND PROUD OF IT! had a nice chat with ah ber too - we have too much to talk about! :)

later that night, ie just now, met up with the usual people for supper @ bedok market.

and what can i say? as usual, we just started talking rot and laughed until i nearly died!

after supper, it was still a tad early so we went over to the kallang bridge at tanjong rhu. can see dunman from the bridge! and it was just lovely. the gorgeous lights, the wonderful sea (river) breeze and the whole classy atmostphere with brewerkz at one end. we sat there for quite abit and continued with our gabfest :)

why the glum face, Mr Hey Gorgeous! of NUS '08? hahahaha. yes mj we are going to ensure that you not only win in NUS, but also for the overall show! :D

a hell lot of literally rushing around singapore today! so damn tired but i ended up being really happy :) it's been a good, good day, suay unsightly sightings aside.

2.30pm: end of school. wanted to eat lunch with yuexin and huizhi but yuexin was on her way to meeting mj for his dental scan @ alexander hospital. i insisted on tagging along because i had two hours to kill

4.15pm: cabbed over to NUS sci (yes, again!) to meet seah + her friends for a quick bite.

6.00pm: headed back towards tampines to meet ber and ah fai for CO dinner!

7.30pm to 11 odd: dinner @ cartel with them. it was awesome, just like the old days where we gossiped about everything, everybody and anything! and we just laughed so, so hard :) i missed them so much! can't wait to meet up again, perhaps on a wednesday night, yes ber? -winks- hahaha

you have no idea how many photos we took because of how dreadfully tired we looked. haha.

i think i gained about 5kg just from all the food we ate today. :(

had dim sum lunch buffet at Excelsior hotel with the same dhsco com ppl that met on friday, and for almost three hours we were basically gorging ourselves silly with different kinds of dim sum. for 15.80 nett, definitely worth it! that is, if you don't mind the fact that you'd end up feeling like an elephant after that and waddle out of the restaurant haha.
we ate so much that mj had to resort to hiding food so that we wouldnt be charged for the excess food. hahaha

after lunch, mol had to go to the temple to pray so we all dutifully followed him. hahaha yes, com outing to the temple @ bugis to pray. :P now i had better stay far away from red meat.

finally, we ended up at jiayin's house where me and mol attempted to bake brownies from scratch (or rather, mol attempted to bake, while i hung around trying to be useful heehee) i didn't like the end product because it was way too bitter for my palate but the dudes found it okay, so.. -shrugs- next time no more dark chocolate for mol!!

mol is very domesticated.

after that we just basically lazed around jiayin's living room watching shows and surfing the net. and yes we finally got jiayin and mj to join Facebook! :D and thanks to the ingenious mol, we chanced upon Hottest Guy Ever darylpannnn's blog (really cannot type his name properly, he's Googleable!). and oh my tian, this guy is so incredibly HOT HOT HOT and he's one of the final contestants representing SMU in the xiaohuaxiaocao show. and he didn't win. YES THAT'S THE KIND OF STANDARDS SMU GUYS HAVE, and the kind of standards the show should have. ntu should be ashamed of itself that it allowed lousy candidates to be voted online. (shuxian just told me another story about The Asshole. wah, just how many girls did he manage to cheat in these few years? amazing indeed! sometimes you really wonder whether he's trying to compensate for something. hahaha)

i'm tired. i dun wanna go school again tomorrow. sian.

Right now he's probably slow dancing with a bleach blonde tramp, and she's probably getting frisky
Right now, he's probably buying her some fruity little drink cause she can't shoot whiskey
Right now, he's probably up behind her with a pool-stick, showing her how to shoot a combo
And he don't know

That I dug my key into the side of his pretty little souped up 4 wheel drive
carved my name into his leather seats
I took a Louisville slugger to both headlights
slashed a hole in all 4 tires

Maybe next time he'll think before he cheats

pretty awesome song from carrie underwood! :)

you'd never know how happy you can still make me :)
