sometimes, people judge way too quickly.
sometimes, they judge a person's character based on the person's appearance. and that's how rumours are started. but of course, rumours are never started based on groundless accusations. but they can, and usually are, blown out of proportion.
and very often, people judge when they hear one side of a story, neglecting the whole picture, and hurry to take sides.
and there's absolutely nothing wrong with that, because it's only our instinct to jump to our friends' defense, and we're quick to conclude that it must be the other party's fault, and lash out accordingly.
i would know, because i'm one of those siao people who is fiercely protective of my close friends. and in the past i have assumed extremely quickly that it was the other person who hurt my friend, and hence must bear the brunt of my harsh words. -grimaces- and well, i may have or may not have been entirely accurate, but nobody deserves to be so quickly sent to the guillotine even before a proper hearing.
and recently, i asked a friend of mine whether he/she would ever let this close friend of his/hers in on one of his/her darkest secrets, his/her reply was an extremely resounding 'no'. because apparently this close friend was too narrow-minded.
and on different occasions, friends have made the comments that since a certain Asshole was, well, how he was as a person (ie a complete asshole and bastard haha) then why on earth does he still have any friends?
two seperate incidents, but somehow i have the same conclusion i want to make : if you are a good friend, you do not, and should NEVER judge your friend.
let's put it this way, if my good friend was an asshole who f**ks around (*cough*) but is still a completely lovely friend to me, i would never care about what he does outside of the life that i see. i may not approve totally of how you are treating other people, but i would never condemn your actions. it's only when he hurts any of my friends or myself would i then completely condemn this person.
and yeah, as for judging a person's character by his/her appearance, it's just way too easy and we're all guilty of that. up til today i still feel vaguely ashamed of how quickly i jumped to conclude about somebody's character based purely on appearance.
anyway, went a-muggin' with mol today after school @ changi airport. not too bad, since i finished the set of ab213 notes for today's lecture: A MIRACLE, PLEASE APPLUADE. but mol is VERY NOISY AND DISTRACTING LAR. hahaha. and when i'm distracted i like to take pictures.

i think mol looks nice in this photo leh? for some reason has a Raymond Lam vibe. HAHA. COMPLIMENT OF THE YEAR LEH MOL.
and i don't know why, but guys in marketing generally give me a very idontgiveacrapaboutanythingtodowithwork vibe. and yeah, before i stereotype all of 'em, i'd just like to point out it's just a couple of them in my class, who turn up whenever they damn well please, presenting rubbish work etc... makes very gao3 wei4 lah.
and if all marketing guys turn out to be like that, i can jolly well give up the idea that i'd ever be attached in the next 5 years. i need somebody to pull red string can. -looks extremely pointedly at seah- HAHAHAHAHA. jokin' lar. :P
yup. told you it's going to be very random.
