man, am i glad that i gave that lousy bm305 excuse for a tutor CTS such poor teaching evaluations. HAHA YOU WONT HAVE A BONUS THIS YEAR HAHA. AND THAT'S FOR BORING ME TO TEARS EVERY SINGLE WEEK FOR LIKE 6 WEEKS (excluding the weeks that the boredom got too much and i had to go home for fear of actually boring myself to death) AND GIVING ME SHIT GRADE FOR THE MODULE.

under normal circumstances, i would probably have written an angry email to him demanding him to recheck my grades, but then ab311 soothed me and bm315 was the cherry on the icing, so well, even with the shiteous 305 grade, i've been placated enough to just accept the damn B. (what a degratory grade! B for a marketing module. THAT IS JUST BLASPHEMY)

and yes i am back from my favourite place in the whole world Hong Kong!
many many many photos!

and so it was the time of the year again where strains of christmas carols are heard everywhere, channel 5 starts showing crappy christmas reruns, and of course, jiayin's annual christmas party!
this year, we had a much smaller turnout because many of us were overseas + people linked to people overseas wouldnt exactly fit in without those other people. the same ol' few but with jo the new face, and it was yet another hilarious and cosy evening together :)

trying out wii sport.

thank goodness for jo, because he did all the fire-starting, the cooking, and the serving!

the food was great!

dessert was chocolate fondue and a yummy log cake courtesy of xin mei's dad!

and since we all had our cameras there, camwhoring became inevitable!

theme of the party was to bring along stuff that had sentimental value, and boy, did jiayin have a boxful of neoprints and other stuff that should never see the light of day :P you would not believe how much different people can look in just a span of 6 years. HAHA

after dinner we sat around and talked alot of rubbish heh

jo entertaining us with some piano playing

the effects of the meal setting in on the boys. haha

and finally, your mandatory comparison of this year's christmas with the past two years'

christmas 2006
christmas 2007

and christmas 2008!

christmas 09 is already on its way and it's a tough one to envision because some of us would be working (at least, i hope i would be) and well, that's one major change, and perhaps many more minor ones to come. all i can say is i hope we would have yet another party much like that of 07's, where we would have full attendance once again. :)

IT IS COLD IN HONG KONG HALLELUJAH! that's the one thing that i've been looking forward to this whole time and it's finally dropped below the 15 degree mark!

saturday was jiayin's surprise farewell. we tried to get all her friends, but in the end only the wsc folks managed to turn up, but i know that's what matters to jiayin. HAHA.

it's true what they say about murphy's law. but in the end everything turned out fine anyway. ;)

sunday was toonli's 21st at NSRCC! the nicest chalets i've ever been so far!

yesterday jiayin zhi and i went back to dunman for dhsco's annual family gathering. the enthusiasm and exuberance of the juniors brought back so much memories! made me feel 16 again. haha :)

and chinyong and junda the clowns unfailingly made my sides ache from laughter -_- it was like all of us never left dhsco!

all the seniors!

i must scoot now! bye!

zhi's unintentional funny moment of the day

me: "hai. it's very sad. so much has changed in the past 1/2 year.." (referring to things like degenerating friendships and the like)

zhi: "oh yeah lor. got the china melamime scandal, the economic crisis, the china earthquake... ..."

me: "HAHAHA. er zhi. i'm not so 伟大”

me and dee went back to our old dunman campus today!

finally, after 3 years of being stuck at the terribly inaccessible old rj campus while the tanjong rhu campus underwent massive renovations, the school is back to where it belongs! alright not that i've been back to the temporary campus much, but well, dunman = tanjong rhu and that's that!

i saw this and immediately went AWWWWW!

THIS IS SO DARN CUTE!! yes, we're coming home! :) 我们回家了!

truth be told, the campus didn't really change much. it wasnt so much a demolition but a.. extension of the school compounds. there is a kickass sized stadium, a new hall, and one whole new row of buildings, but the rest of the school remain intact. which means that our old classrooms are still there!

the school looked pretty ok, and not as bad as people have made it out to be. but THIS is seriously a huge eyesore.

well other than that. still the same ol' dunman (or duman, as one little 13 yr old student once wrote. heehee) we know :)

oh the memories!

one massive post coming right up!

haven't been blogging much the past couple of weeks because well, it's been an emotionally troubling period of time. i was in fact, so grumpy that i stopped watching my shows (HORROR!) and was perpetually having a dark cloud hanging over my head. i was even grouchier than i was during the exams!

i was fretting over fyp, the lack of money for my grad trip, my seemingly bleak future in securing a good job.. all these made even the thought of how one friend has annoyed me so much in the past MONTHS, insignificant (another story for another day. i think i finally have had enough of the sneers and the boasting. well i wont be seeing you in school next sem so maybe that'd serve as a good break)

anywhoo.

i've decided that i've had enough of wallowing in self pity.
i went back to school today, YES ON A SUNDAY, for FYP discussion and it's gratifying to see the report coming together :)
as for the lack of money, well, i shall quit being so stubborn about teaching kids and start giving tuition. and also, i will take on any job that recruit express throws my way. CONTRIBUTE TO THE MINYAN-NEEDS-MONEY-FOR-EUROPE-FUND
and for my job. seeing how helpful the career office has been so far, i'm going to send in at least one application to any of my choice companies. i don't expect a reply but well, at least i'm trying.

SO.

recap.
3rd dec wed: shopping with wei and xin mei!
4th dec thurs: we woke up real early in an attempt to catch bosco at the airport (i know! when will the madness ever stop!) but we failed and so we had MAC breakfast instead.
5th dec fri: it was rachel's 21st! a posh affair at Senso Bistro at the Flyer!

the yummy fare

black, red and white was the theme of the day

6th dec sat: i had nihon mura lunch, yet again, with william and seah, and then we did our usual thing of hanging out at cartel and gossiping about anything under the sky

oh that and taking stupid pictures. heh

HAHAHHA.

7th dec sunday: dim sum brunch with the MS people and then ktv! mahjong night with jyn, xin mei and jo. the unluckiest i've ever been seeing how i won TWICE in a span of 4 hours.
9th dec wednesday: dinner with MS at shokudo. business as usual; crazy laughing and all. :)
10th dec thurs: the bad start to the day mandated that i met up for some bitchin' with seah. therefore, i tagged along with her, sk and jm for some shopping, and then dinner later at night with william, and supper with the MS girls. my mood turned much better after that.
13th dec sunday: FYP IN SCHOOL, and then dinner with seah and bel! bel wanted the feel of the high life so we had dessert at the Royal Copenhagen cafe at Taka.
and as you would have expected with our outings: lots of camwhoring ensued.

the lovely looking cakes. emphasis on "looking"

it only looks yummy. because what it actually is, is a complete ripoff at 12.90.

the taitais are nevertheless, undeterred by the substandard desserts and pose bravely

more camwhoring at the grounds of taka and orchard road

hahah. the day mode on my camera makes the pictures look terribly yellow! but oddly enough, closer to the actual lighting at taka.

some tweaking with picasa and volia! practically an art piece!

the christmas lightings along orchard rd this year may be dismal comparatively but you cant deny that that's the place to be if you want to feel all warm and christmasy inside :)

and good night!
this entry took so long i have another 4 hours of sleep before i have to get up for HK discussion! toodles!
