so... i am never one who will verbalise all my vulgarities (because you wont want to hear what i'm actually thinking in my mind, especially when i'm ill-tempered like today.)

but i swear to god, if this goes on any further, i will have a serious meltdown, and i will have no restraint whatsoever and i shalt not be held accountable for my actions/verbalisations.

(*$#%Y(##$(&*!@* i havent been so angry in a long time (oh alright, the past month) and i reckon it's only going to get worse.

fuck this man. i know i should learn to have higher tolerance levels but this is just bullshit.

guess what. i am already counting down.

ok i have sufficiently cooled down and i think i should grow up a little bit (ok alot) and stop bitching everytime somebody's being a complete bitch (a crazy unreasonable bipolar bitch at that) because if not i'll be bitching every single day and also, well this is only the beginning and if i want to survive i've gotta suck it up and shut my mouth (and also keep a poker face) AND FOCUS DAMNIT, because it's been a loooooong, a long time coming, but i know a change is gonna come (haha okay no lah it's just that i happen to be listening to the song. IT'S A NEW DAWN IT'S A NEW DAY IT'S A NEW LIFE FOR MEEEEEEEEE. AND I'M FEEEEEELING GOOD)

of course this doesn't mean i'm not prone to random bouts of angry rants on twitter. (slow ride take it easy! sorry the songs just keep playing yeah)

met the girls just now for dinner (which i suspect, is the main reason for my less-than-murderous mood now. check back tomorrow morning whether i still feel like slapping the shit out of a certain person) and zhi was talking about her brother starting work at CAAS and omg i could feel my soul crumble a little bit at a time at her description. i want to work for that place so damn much i don't even have any reason to justify that desire. i don't even know what i want to do that, be it corp comm or advertising or anything else, i just know i want to work for CAAS and someday i WILL work for CAAS.

bye monday. may the rest of the week be lovely. (ha. who am i kidding)

i truly think there's nothing more dreadful than sunday evenings. it's all wtfffffineedtogoworkagain. excuse me while i go into pissy hibernation mode.

seriously why did i ever complain about school?

yesterday's clubbing was uneventful in a good way, ie. seah didn't get drunk. nobody had to carry her home. HAHAHA. and everyone else were sober pretty much most of the time despite having tons to drink, which also meant that we were clearminded enough to realise that the music wasn't good. oh phuture. i miss you so. and is it me or have people our age started to steer clear of clubbing? because i keep seeing kids around and that's just disconcerting because it's a very clear sign we're all getting too old for this shit. soon we'll be sipping martinis at Lunar :(:(

well if i don't come back for anything else, i will definitely be back for the 15bucks entrance fee + two drinks. ARE YOU HEARING THIS DBL O YOU SORRY EXCUSE FOR A CLUB? (yes. still harping on it after 4 months)

i can't wait for the weekends of july 25th and national day!

i just realised something..

IT HAS BEEN FOUR WHOLE MONTHS (EXACTLY) SINCE I LAST WENT CLUBBING.
gosh. 4 months only? it seems much much longer. well technically speaking, it's been MUCH LONGER AGO when we actually went to a decent club (the last one being the shitty dbl o which hopefully will close down and never reopen again)

so tonight we're going to.. erm. crap. i have no idea where. HAHA. zirca? looking forward to the music and burning of calories!

sometimes i think, the jttw people really do not meet up often enough! i seriously have no idea how we come up with all the crap we have heated discussions, which always leave me crying from too much laughter, about! like that day we met up for Transformers movie (crap plot, awesome effects. my inner dude approves) i had such an awesome time with them, i'm convinced we should have outings like these every week so working weeks will seem shorter! oh, all the "mary had a little lamb" jokes, william not getting his own jokes while the rest of us were impressed, the "EH. WHY YOU EAT MY WAFFLE" parts. hahahha. i'm laughing as im typing this. OUR MAJOR OUTING IN AUGUST WHEN LEED COMES BACK YES? :)

ok i have to run before seah kills me for being late for the nth time.

10th may - lucerne/interlaken

more obligatory gorgeous-scenery-on-the-highways-photos

we reached the town of lucerne. now lucerne was exactly how i envisioned zurich to be: incredibly modern and busy and prosperous. branded names dotted the streets and there were a couple of huge bank buildings. it's like being in any big city like frankfurt except that it has a kickass view of the alps

it was a sunday so most of the stores were closed

believe it or not, bata is a premium brand in europe. hahahaha. 99 FRANCS FOR SHOES.

i can never get tired of taking pictures of these. in fact i can stay in one of their bakeries/chocolatiers the whole day and just stare at the mindboggling array of goodies.

the lucerne lion

there really wasn't much to do or see at lucerne after all the picture taking along the river, so it was onwards to interlaken! (FINALLY)

the drive to interlaken was a long and tiring one (for jiayin :P). after days and days of driving and closing in onto the alps, we were finally driving straight into the alps itself where interlaken was located. this obviously meant some of the most beautiful views you could possibly imagine, but also long and winding mountain roads.

but the views well, were indescribable. we stopped along the road a couple of times just to take pictures

soon we were at interlaken!

many many farms

our bed&breakfast. this has got to be one of my favourite places that we stayed at. although we didn't have elevators, our delightful hosts helped us carry our luggage all the way up to the 4th floor. (DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW AMAZING THAT IS. EACH OF OUR LUGGAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 20KG) the rooms were incredibly cosy and hey! free wireless and cable!

too bad we were staying there for only 2 days

we decided to have a truly authentic (and subsequently, exorbitant) swiss meal, which mean swiss cheese fondue!

yes, MORE pork schnitzel and rosti. i think the cheese fondue was doused with so much liquor you could actually get drunk on it if you ate enough.

8-9th may: titisee/zurich/st.gallen

next stop on our route was titisee, or otherwise known as blackforest, home of the blackforest cake.

it was your typical beautiful swiss town set amongst the winding mountain roads and next to the sea

we had one of the most expensive meals we had in europe here. can't quite remember the exact amount but i think it was in the range of SGD40 per person. worth every dollar still, keeping in mind that every single thing in switzerland is ridiculously expensive

hahah i have no idea why every restaurant we go, we see tons of old people!

i HEART PORK SCHNITZEL!

the schnappes we ordered which, i am convinced, were pure ethanol. because it's absolutely foul tasting and burned your entire throat. the only way we could drink it was to mix it in a huge glass of apple juice

the absolutely divine blackforest cake. please, blackforest cakes in singapore are complete rubbish compared to this. juicy and sweet with just the right amount of alcohol. YUMMY.

after lunch we walked around the shops

intricately designed and so adorable! very very expensive though

we took a stroll along the riverside when it stopped pouring (yes it was pouring. like POURING)

hence the fog!

after lunch we're back on the road and headed towards zurich

the views got better as we neared interlaken. you'll be able to see from the pictures that we were driving closer and closer to the alps.

alright i've been rather looking forward to zurich because well, i've just got the impression that it was going to be a beautiful city set in the mountains (ie. double the pretty). so when we finally got to zurich i was pretty horrified. zurich is supposed to be one of the most expensive cities in the world, yet it looked NOTHING of that sort. it was dark, gloomy and the buildings were all rundown and sad looking.

and our hotel didnt look any better. it was shabby on the outside, and even the lobby looked dark and dingy. and we were all depressed until we reached our room and realised it really wasnt that bad haha

we had the attic floor which meant a big room with two bedrooms and a living room. still the gloom from the city made all of us not want to venture out despite the fact that it was barely 5pm. so we bought dinner back and lazed around for the rest of the night

the daylight made zurich seemed alot cheerier and off we were towards st.gallen!

first stop of the day was rhein falls

not much there frankly, just very pretty.

lunch at MIGROS! hahaha. our favourite supermarket!

nono scratch that. favourite supermarket has gotta be Sainsbury in London!

anyway, this was supposed to be one of our cheapest options at lunch, and my stuff cost 13francs. i told you everything is expensive beyond belief

onwards to shuxian's place!!

more gorgeous scenery along the way. this is why i dont fall asleep on the long car rides

how incredible are the views?! just imagine staying in one of these towns

we finally reached shuxian's apartment after a whooooole series of wrong turns and searching-for-petrol-station-es. and when we eventually got to the correct street, we nearly couldn't find her house until she yelled from her kitchen. hahaha.

shuxian cooked chinese food for us!! THANKS GIRL! I LOVED THE CURRY! (yes i know this is sooooo overdue)

back to the hotel, happy and stuffed.

oh and i found out that CNN shows this every saturday evening:

I LOVE YOU CNN

view from our room. you can see the alps in the distance

OKAY INTERLAKEN UP NEXT.
