i had the most expensive lunch i ever, and possibly ever WOULD, have today. and i just have to commemorate it. i was too afraid to take pictures except this first one which was taken sneakily. haha.

this was what i had:

Foie Gras
Crème brulée of Perigord foie gras,
vanilla scented pear and spiced bread dust

unfortunately it was a bad first foie gras experience. maybe i'm just not cut out for too atas stuff.

Truffe Noire
Spaghetti simply cooked in black truffle butter
and slow roasted free range chicken

simply unbelievable. it's highly likely that i've never eaten such fantastic chicken in my entire life.

Snickers
Snickers bar version 2009

basically two chocolate balls with snickers filling. too sweet but still such a treat to look at.

okay while it was ultimately the coolest experience ever, it was still terribly intimidating. i have absolutely no lunch etiquette and i was just on the edge the entire time. still, i had a fabulous fabulous freee lunch (oh the perks of working in PR) and was completely stuffed after three courses.

oh and i saw a woman there with a black birkin. OMFG.

omg i just realised that 355 bucks was after 114 bucks of discount. so three of us had.. 470 bucks worth of lunch. god.

okay i usually do not talk about such things, but this guy is so beyond-belief-irritating i just have to blog about it. i don't want to elaborate about how i know this whackjob so all you need to know is that he's the most annoying, stupid and thickskinned person i know and such a disgrace to our school. he has said some completely numbskulled things before and some of them can turn my stomach pretty well. and because his skin is probably as thick as a bull's hide, my incredibly rude replies and comebacks seem to just bounce off him and soon he's back to bother the living daylights out of me. and the cherry on the icing? his english is probably as good as my ex-tutee (more on that later) who's in sec 5. when your english is THAT bad, you might as well tattoo "shoot me" on your forehead. i just cannot resist pulling the trigger.

so anyhow, i've always laughed off his rubbish (usually with wil whom i copy and paste the conversations to. he gets a big laugh out of them as well. it's a win-win situation really) so today was no different. UNTIL he was so INCREDIBLY childish that i think my brains combusted right there and then and i suddenly had a flashback to primary school. okay i will type in gist what happened but even so i'm feeling really childish about it. but i was, and am, irritated enough to want to complain about it.

apparently he went to google, and subsequently follow AI after finding out bout yours truly's love for all things glam (ok i'm starting to regret typing this. i sound like a chao ah lian), keeping close to mind that this was a guy who can't even string a proper english sentence together.

him: "so you support lambart huh?" (yeah, spelling errors included)
me: "yup" (and yup, that's how i usually reply. HOW DOES HE NOT GET IT)
him: "i think kris better leh. i support kris"
me: (laughing inwardly and copying conversation to wil) "yup okay you have your opinion"
him: (continues on irrelevant stuff about why kris is better.)
me: (half-hearted replies on why he's not. sorry, cannot resist. if not i would have ignored him completely. hahah)
him: (continues irrelevant crap on why kris is better. I AM NOT KIDDING.)
me: (getting really pissed off that he's not getting that i DO NOT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT ANYTHING HE'S SAYING and also because WE ARE NOT SECONDARY SCHOOL KIDS. WHICH PART OF THIS CONVERSATION IS OF ANY USE? if he's trying to goad me into a lambert-allen debate then i find it highly amusing BECAUSE HALLO, JUST BECAUSE YOU'RE AN AH BENG DOESNT MEAN I AM AN AH LIAN. WE ARE ALL ENTITLED TO OUR OWN OPINIONS)

okay so at this point of time i was already spewing vulgarities at wil about how he's wasting my time (yet at the same time making me and wil laugh our asses off) it just gets better.

in a nutshell, this cheenapok suddenly proclaimed that he's was all along an ABC (yes, feel free to wtf at the things he's said. unedited okay)and listens to english songs only. and well, he's obviously barking up the wrong tree because you really shouldn't try to lie about such things to an (semi) expert. he further proclaimed that he's a fan of linkin park, to which i told wil, "hahahha. of all the bands in the world, he has to choose the one that i was a huge fan of". yes i have no doubt that nutjob is lying.

to summarise real quick, me the genius managed to trick him into revealing that whatever questions i threw at him about LP, he replied after googling. HAHAH.

and that's the end of my story. shit, i just reread the post and i really do sound incredibly childish. but well, facts and facts.

okay gotta go bye.

omg i love talking to leed and mol online together because they crack me up SO MUCH HAHAHA. we just bitch like nobody's business and i have to keep my face straight because if not i'd burst out laughing in the office. they're just so evil and hilarious and I LOVE THEM BOTH!! (and also 'cos only leed indulges with me in our glambert-chatter. hoho!)

and i'm meeting all my friends over the week and that's making me awesomely happy! :) yay my europe-blues are diminishing! let's hope the next few months (and years) would be as pleasant as this week. (because today seriously started on a lousy note and i was scowling throughout my journey to work along the east-west line because of all the inconsiderate people i met)

i miss..

the clean fresh European air (when it's not being polluted by the dozens of inconsiderate smokers on the streets of Paris) that's seemingly void of any amount of water vapour. you can take a deep breath and would not be suffocated by the humidity

forgetting the sensation of sweating

the sun setting at 9pm and rising at 5am

the friendly people that you meet who don't give you an odd stare when you offer a smile

the brilliantly blue sky

the hot guys that seem to be everywhere (well only in france maybe)

the feeling of pure freedom. the freedom to go anywhere and see anything, with no restrictions.

it does not feel good to be back, to be honest.
the weather is enough to make me want to throw something. the thought of having to go to work on tuesday isn't helping either, obviously.
and it's disturbing because i realised that i haven't missed anything in singapore at all for the past three weeks, not even the food (although there were times i craved for some instant noodles and curry haha). i loved being overseas so much that everything back home was never on my mind. and coming back home, it was all so unfamiliar and strange (there were moments when i could not remember what my room looked like) maybe it's just three weeks, and maybe i'd feel differently if i would to say, live there for a couple of months. but it may seem that i've got bitten by the "wandering" bug, big time.

i need to adjust, and pronto.

anyway pictures for me and leed, two people who really should stop supporting the bad habits of each other ;)

the irreplaceable, amazing, mindblowing, stunning, astonishing, breathtaking God of Glam that is adam lambert (who has just about the most beautiful pair of blue-grey eyes)

oh glambert, only you can dress like that, with all your OTT outfits and makeup, all glittery and shimmering and pouting and smirking, and we'll still be drooling and going all fangirl over you

on the train to our final stop in edinburgh. alright i'll admit it, even i'm a tad tired of travelling. i'm surprised i even lasted so long before feeling this way. i barely even survived the 4 days in HK last year and now it took more than 20 days before i'm starting to feel burnt out. i'm not looking forward to work (duh), or the stupid singapore weather (double duh), but i'm looking forward to going back home to my own bed

2 more days, and then it's the 24hours worth of flight back home.

http://www.tmz.com/2009/05/21/kris-allen-freddy-rodriguez/

haha this is funny! i give him 1 year before fading into obscurity.

in any case, i think everything worked out fine in the end. now with all the fame and glamour he's obtained through the show, adam lambert can go on to making awesome records without being bound by the silly AI contract that would make him record silly songs.

wide awake once again while the rest of them are sleeping.

right now i'm in interlaken which is now currently my favourite place because it's just so gosh darn GORGEOUS. interlaken's a sweet town set in the mountains, so you can imagine how awesome the views are. we're in the loveliest bed&breakfast ever with the cosiest rooms and our room has a view of a flowering tree and jungfrau in the background. try beating that!

okay my bed is right next to the window which is open so now my feet are freezing. anyway i should head off to bed 'cos i only have 7 hrs of sleep. haha. gd night!

hahaha it's 1.30 am here in colmar, france and i'm still awake using jiayin's laptop while the rest snooze. i can't help it, i just have too much time to sleep and for the past few days i've been sleeping before 12 and waking up around 8. that's just too much sleep for me and usually i'm wide awake by 5 and waking up every 1/2h thereafter.

anyway the trip's been pretty nice so far! frankfurt was a complete bore and something about the place just didn't quite sit right with me. munich weather was GORGEOUS. it was freezing and even though i complained about the cold endlessly it's still something that i've always wanted to experience. SMOKE CAME OUT OF MY MOUTH! HAHAH! yes we all survived the <5deg onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjO85i4cuDD1DS7UkXKvHFGCfHoajLDx3YH303VVgjypTArzIKQrLotOs9Q9oUV4qhuroAqxwxg2UojXcwJyod-At3TIHYfBmZEjG0M_Rtk23eGN3ILohEESHLn5OfTyYhi6klX/s1600-h/IMG_1061.JPG">

up the hill to neuschwanstein castle. it was friggin' cold (my hands went numb after awhile)

and so finally the day has come, where i bid adieus to the sweltering Singapore weather for three whole weeks. it's EUROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!!!!!

man, am i going to miss my laptop. hahaha. luckily the genius that is me learned how to rip videos from AI website so now my iPod is fully stocked with adam lambert's videos. zhi and yx and jyn should all just ignore me when i'm staring at the teeny screen of my iPod in mesmerization. HAHA.

i shall try my best to update when i'm over there. if not the backlog of photos would probably kill me and i'd probably be blogging bout europe for the next two months. haha.

ciao y'all! all the best to those still having their papers!
