well. war has been declared after all.
and the results for round 1:

ME 1 - 0 THAT CRAZY BITCH

to cut a really long story short,
she tried to get me kicked out of my workplace.
she told me tomorrow would be my last day (because it's my own fault that i didn't tell her when i wanted to quit)
she taunted me to go tell her boss (go! go ahead! (see if she would listen to you))
i did.
and i won.
i'm staying til the end of june.

loser.

seriously lah. i didn't study so much to be trodden over by you can.

well, well. i must say, this

VJC 4 - MJC 2 (aye. cant go any bigger le)

is truly SATISFYING TO THE CORE.

never mind that i'm an ex-victorian, and i should probably be above these smug feelings, but..

SHIOK SIA!

OH REVENGE IS SWEET!
well in case you're going all self-righteous and saying "don't be childish" and all that, let me bring you back a year ago to the time where the situation (for some unconceivable reasons) was reversed, and all of us were victims of outright mockery and jeering by SOME PEOPLE from this very same school (and SOME sore losers from the previous year, but never mind that).

ahem. operative word being SOME. of course not everybody is childish like these few people who spoil the good name of the school. and so very obviously, the sweet revenge part is merely directed to these few.

ah. rightful champs once again. :)

okay i'm done with my dose of childishness for the day, let me bring you back to the horrendous working world.

all along, i've assumed a joking tone when talking about my evil superior, but as of yesterday i can tell you that things have made a turn for seriousness.
she is now beyond plain nit-picking and irritating comments.
she is now using her authority to bully us. she is NOT beyond rolling her eyes at your face, asking you "WHY ARE YOU WASTING MY TIME??" and clicking her tongue at your stupidity. AND then proceeding to tear things up and throwing it aside loudly.
she is NOT beyond throwing at you the work she does not want (because doing it would mean SHE would be getting hell from the customers, and nooo, you're just a temp staff so she wants you to get it).
she is NOT beyond using sentences like "WHO IS YOUR BOSS??" and dropping terms like "the higher management" to belittle you.
and no, she has no qualms about you starving during lunch hour just to finish up HER work.
"what? you're telling me you had no free time throughout the day (to make the calls)? then what have you been doing during your free time?"
i would have thought it is extremely self-explanatory that FREE time, is as its name suggests, A BREAK.
she is now all out looking for all ways and means to put us down, to find faults, and then to embarrass and belittle us.
and i can tell you, from the way i openly defied her orders (throwing back the shit work she threw at me) and rebutting her every single sentence yesterday, there would be more to come in the following weeks.
"what have you been doing during your free time? you need to be accountable for all your working hours"
"helping out with (my two friends) with the work"
"why did they give you work to do?!" (ie i want YOU to clear my rubbish which other people have assigned me to do and not theirs)
"they didnt. i volunteered"
"tell (one of my friends) i want to talk to her later" (ie. i want to 挑拨离间)
"i've already TOLD YOU. I VOLUNTEERED. she didn't ask me to do it" and with that parting sentence, i spun on my heel and stalked off.
the atmosphere at the office then turned icy and tense.

it's all fine and easy to say, "just quit!". but in a sick way, the more she challenges me, the more i would stay on and not back down.
and of course at the end of the day, i want to make her sorry for every single thing that she has ever done to us.

sometimes you'd wonder if she's really stupid or just plain dense. we are the wrong people she should be picking on.
does she not realise that we are the ones going back to school later in the year?
does she not realise that five years later when i'm with my degree in banking and finance, AND COMING BACK HERE, she would still be where she is today (no doubt, given her abilities and all), i'm going to be her boss this time around?
(ok, the last one is just a fantasy. but trust me, she has given me much motivation)
and does she not realise that she is inches away from stepping on a land mine? (not to be elaborated)

we shall see what happens next, in the upcoming episode of The Perils of The Working World.

whoa. if i had stuck to my vow of quitting on the 31st of may, next week would be my last full week of work!
yeah, but i'm not, so it's not.
NEVER MIND that my monstrous excuse for a boss insists that it's only right that i quit either at the end of this month, OR the next.
cos it's totally irresponsible of me to want to quit in the middle of the month, you know, in all fairness to my other colleagues, let's be reasonable ya??
amazing how she can incorporate those three phrases into just about all her criticisms of me.
i reckon if i tell HER boss about my decision first, and when she approves, this woman would have nothing more to say.

seriously now, all of you should be just darn grateful that you don't have crazy bosses like her.

and on friday (to cut a long story short),
she insisted that we wrote 7.30 as the time we knocked off, even though we were in the office til almost 8.45 (i seriously do not have a life, i tell you) because she insisted that we were talking the whole day (which in my opinion is simply ridiculous because she herself wasnt at her place half the time), and so in all fairness to my other colleauges, we have to be reasonable and write 7.30. (ie we lose our OT money)
and never mind that, she also insisted (yes i know, again) that we are not taking this job seriously, and seemed to be just having fun chit chatting, and that since she is treating us as permanent staff (another of her favourite lines.) and not temps, we should be extremely serious in our work too. (riiiight. so where's my perm staff pay and my perm staff respect?)
all this whilst she sits there with her arms folded and frowning at you. (i tell you, that look alone is enough to make you want to slap her right across the face. it reeks of DISDAIN, DISCONTENTMENT and DISGUST.)

oh. not so short after all.

i could go on forever.

oh yeah. and then there's her complaint of us never doing OT.
WA LAU. DO OT SHE SAYS IT'S BECAUSE WE DO THINGS SLOWLY. DON'T DO OT SHE ALSO WANT TO COMPLAIN.
ya lah. you get my gist.

i can forsee that we would be getting a shelling from her tomorrow, because we didn't go for work on saturday (SATURDAY!!) when we said (LOUDLY moreoever) that we would be.

ah well, i can't be too rude to her just yet. i still need her to approve my leave on my birthday :)
er. on 2nd thought, i think i'd be working on my birthday.

shucks. i seriously do not have a life :(

well, just as work days are passing by rapidly, so are my weekends. (except that they are passed by pointlessly as well heh heh)
yes, but it is the long hours of chatting over lunch or dinner that just about makes my weekends.
on saturday mich and i nearly pissed ourselves from laughing as we plotted on ways on how to irritate the hell outta my boss. oh that's an endless conversation all right haha.
and then there was dinner with vincent mj and ahyin just about a couple of hours ago.
just plain mindless chatting, but still so much fun :)

ah well. and so begins another week of torture.

oh yes i've watched da vinci code, and let's just say that paul bettany is not cut out to be silas lah. he's way too good looking

you know when you're depressed/generally in a foul mood
you:
1. eat a hell lot less (because your stomach is lurching half the time anyway)
2. sleep early (because you don't want to talk to anybody.)
3. exercise vigourously (to numb the pain)

wah. not bad sia.
think i should go get myself depressed too. heh heh.

i may have to eat my words.

i think i may not be quitting so early after all.

COME ON. LET THE 'I KNEW IT's COME!!

i was talking to michelle (my very nice tj colleague) about this just the other day.
and we both agreed that we may not want to leave on may 31st after all.
you gotta say that's a major feat for me because HAVE I NOT BEEN HARPING ON THIS ISSUE FOR THE LONGEST TIME YET??
aye. who ask michelle to come join me in work. now that i have somebody to chat with, bitch with, confide in and (ahem) oogle guys with.. WORK IS TOLERABLE!
i no longer wake up and want to pon work anymore! amazing hor.

yeah so i may just delay my resignation for a couple of weeks more.:)
(i can totally predict wil's I TOLD YOU SO!)

thanks to the great influence of rachel darling, i've come up with my own

TURN ON LIST ;) (guys this is your cue to stop reading)

1. nice smelling guys, no doubt.
no need for issey miyake (heh heh).
the clean, soap smell would do just fine :)

2. very important, the gentleman
such a rarity, that the occasional gentleman becomes a gem!
these are the people who give way to girls first, who open doors, and who wave away your money when you offer to pay for the drinks.
hey it does not only apply when the girl is your girlfriend alright! -cough dunman guys tsk tsk cough-
i met the ultimate gentleman the other day. i was behind him in the queue to board the bus. after letting his girlfriend (girlfriend mind you! he has a girlfriend!) board first, he actually allowed me to board next! WAH. SUPER IMPRESSIVE HOR.

3. nice build + height
nice height = > 178cm
nice build = having nice broad shoulders + not overly lanky.

4. long slender fingers
-shrugs- i have no idea why either. just so lovely :)

5. intellectual/shy guys
ahem. but after working, i've come to realise that, not being really intellectual can be redeemed by looking the part. heh heh
as for shy guys.. SO ADORABLE LAH. needs no elaboration. we've had enough of cocky smarmy guys!

6. musical
preferably lah, but i'm not fussy about this ;P

7. good sense of humour
a girl's gotta stay happy yeah? and sometimes funny guys are just so adorable heh.
(especially the ah bengs who talk rubbish but it's just so funny because the things they talk about are just so comical!)

8. lovely smile
which equates to smiley eyes. I LIKE!
when these people smile, their whole face lights up.. you get the picture. how nice.

9. a fantastic singer
this is even more rare than the gentleman, such that we girls go all siao ding dong when one eventually emerges. and we try to kup them for kbox outings :)
just imagine, a guy singing jay chou's 枫 to you.. (provided that he's good looking and sings it well lah)

10. and the clincher is.. DIMPLES!!
i am, of course, outrageously biased. this was only added after i started working, see see?

ahem. to be continued if i can think of anything more.

on a parting note.
"i like my money where i can see it; hanging in my closet"

i like!

hmm.

i think you can't let go, not because you really can't let go,
but more likely it's that you feel shortchanged.

really, really shortchanged.
so the feeling is resentment, more than anything else.

haha end of entry. it was just a random thought.

i was lying comfortably on my bed with a big bowl of cornflakes (my latest craving! i can finish a big box in two days) and a nice book when my mom suddenly came into the room

BANG! she put something heavy onto the floor.

"oi. come here take your weight"

bloody hell!! i haven't seen a weighing machine in my house since i was in primary school and NOW she has to get a new one!!

"er dont want lah" i attempt to look busy eating my cornflakes.
"COME. so you now what's the result of you eating all that rubbish."

damnit.

anyway she got bored after failing to trick me onto that damned piece of contraption.
i continued what i was doing, but DARN! that thing was an eyesore!! (and in a sick way, i do want to know how much harm has all that bloody office food done)
well, after about 2 hours i finally got the nerve to step on that.. that.. THING!!

ok lah. no need to broadcast my own weight ok. :)

but jeez. i think i'm seriously getting unhealthy. no exercise, too much rubbish food, too much air-con, too much germs in the office.

this month only got one more public holiday to go. chey :(

but then again, i should think that this work month would go relatively smoother with the presence of the new nice tj girl.
wahaha. with her around, i reckon that my productively rate has fallen by more than half. the whole day we were yakking about everything under the sun. one of those very good instances where you just click instantly with that person. :)
and good thing that she shares my sentiments for certain unpleasant personalities. -cough-

and somebody just pissed me off majorly today.
let's just say that..
well you should seriously stop whining about your own non-existant predicament when other people seem to be in deeper shit than yourself.

wow. i just saw something from friendster and i got irritated straight away!
amazing. looks like i'm still biased.

the monster has returned.
her power is truly amazing man
she comes to nag at me for 10 seconds, i wanna throw my resignation at her already. (i know i've said this so many times. and yeah i'm waiting for myself to get the nerve to eventually do that)
today the monster not only wanted to complain about my lack of productivity, but also about my apparent (ie non-existent) lack of excellence in my conversational skills with customers.
bloody hell. people didn't take the a levels to become a low-class call agent like you used to be hor.
i mean, the only reason why you're good at it, is because you've plenty of experience. coughcough. (and nothing else)

exactly 4 more weeks. i'd be out of this place.

i deserve to be slapped man. i dont want mass comm anymore :( not that i'm getting it of course.

ahyin mol and me travelled all the way to holland v for The Most Expensive Brunch Ever on saturday.
:(
the scrambled eggs were described as "lush quivering textbook-perfect with a delicate hint of butter" in the magazine. i think it was supposed to be "a hell lot of butter" instead.
so half of it went to the bottomless pit that is mollie's stomach. jeez. twenty bucks for those eggs some toast and two miserable strips of bacon. luckily the place was nice and the waiter was cute. heh heh.

and then sunday was definitely The Most Boliao Day. after an afternoon of Rotting and Not Doing Anything At All, seah and me met up with Boliao Juniors for mahjong.
(and then we realise exactly one year back we were at the same place yelling from the 1st floor up to william's house. we must keep this tradition man)
mahjong mahjong, what can i say? i won 4 times straight and made jingying pok :) KIDDING. all the money then went back to ck anyway (made his wealth by gang4-ing his way through. chey! haha) this kind of boliao life is certainly very tempting.

excuse me please. i'd like to go and count how many public holidays there are this month.
