for a quick pick-me-up, do watch whose line is it anyway on youtube.

omg i cant even begin to tell you how many times i've nearly collapsed from laughter while watching it. it's gotta be the funniest show on the side of this earth!!
and i love it even more than The Simpsons and Friends, and that's saying a bloody lot because you know how much i love Friends!
each clip is probably around 5 minutes, so the bad thing is that you don't realise how time flies until about a couple of hours later :(

and most of their conversations are centered around all things related to USA, so sometimes you can seriously catch no ball. but whatever.
watch it for the quick wit of the comedians. THEY ARE FANTASTIC!

highly recommended are:
let's make a date
party quirks
the millionaire show
press conference
news flash
sound effects

these are the games they play and improvise on.

trust me. funniest thing ever. but warning: HIGHLY ADDICTIVE.

i always say that it's a great idea keeping diaries, online or otherwise.

yesterday i managed to find the diaries that i started when i was in primary 4. PRIMARY 4!!
granted, a typical entry looked something like this: woke up, eat breakfast, do homework, watch tv, played computer games, blah blah blah. but the whole point is that it's a whole archive of memories!
isnt that just nice? :)

this nonsensical blabbling continued for about a year until i started writing sense in primary 5 and 6.
by then i was recording down all the nice songs that were hits on radio then. and continually bitching about my classmates -_____-. i was a nasty little girl!!

the entries got lesser and lesser by the time i was in secondary school. just the occasional 发花痴 post. it eventually stopped by the time i was in sec 2 where the entries were about a year apart.
sec 4 brought on a slew of entries. -shrugs-
that was when the whole cynicsm and disillusionment set in. heh. it's funny to think how childish i was.
this blog started in JC after my GP tutor advised us to keep diaries to improve our language. and boy, did it help!

it may be just a space of two years, yet the way i type has changed tremendously.
year one's entries started off badly, with cringe-worthy grammar. :P
it improved as the year went by (together with my GP grade, heh heh)
but the amount of ranting, choked full of cynicism, increased almost exponentially. :( i was really unhappy on many occasions, but sometimes it's all just a result of my thinking-too-much.
and it only stopped after i left vj.

this year started off on a way better note. work sucked sometimes but i was still relatively enjoying the days.
i didn't think uni start well for me, remember just a couple of months ago i was put off by some people in my tutorial and project groups.
but thank god it has improved drastically over the past 2 months.
i don't recall a moment when i had this feeling of contentment the two years in vj, except during the CO days.
and you may also have realised that the number of posts where i bitched about people in a roundabout manner is almost down to zero in the past two months.
i guess my luck has been pretty good when it comes to my project group mates. :)
and hopefully, this luck is going to continue throughout the 3 years in ntu.

i am happy and contented now. when is it going to stop again? -grimaces-

well. it's been a Long, Tiring and Very Tedious week.
let me tell you
for the past 5 days, it's been 9am-10pm marketing at my group mate's house at bukit panjang. (damn those westerners! :()

it's been exhausting, but because i love marketing and my group, it didn't really matter :)

unfortunately, we didn't manage to hit the pinnacle of the grade again.
yeah. it was just an A.

ok before you roll your eyes and say that A is already damn good, it is not when there are such things as A+ and you've gotten that for the marketing project. it only means that we didn't do that well this time.

let me cut in now and say that we could have gotten the A+ if not for several VERY annoying reasons.
shall not elaborate here because you know, you don't know who's reading your blog and all.
i've already subjected jiayi and bernice to a first-hand account just now during lunch.
so if you want to know, just ask me and i'll treat you to some ear abuse. :)

but we were peeved. very very very peeved.

this is where we were camping for the past 4 days. Hilarious Seemanti. :) she's the funniest and siao-est person on this side of the earth

fellow gossiper and fashionista. HAHA.

-gossip gossip gossip bitch bitch bitch-

me: "ok lah. do work. next time then gossip somemore"

derek: "wa lau. you make me become a girl liao lah"

me: "......"

the 3 of us who really matter -evil smile- and our tutor. WHERE'S OUR A+ DAMNIT!

i must say i would be pretty sad when this semester comes to an end and we'd be in different classes (but me and seemanti want to take the choir elective! hahaha!). that's the whole problem of being the only one in business when the rest of them are in accountancy :(

well, now that marketing is done. i must get back to OMG-Disgusting OB. i have a part of a 4000-word report to submit by tomorrow unless i want to look like a social loafer. (heh. i am applying OB content, mind you!)

today: marketing
tomorrow: OB

YEURGH!
i don't actually mind doing marketing because we were having lots of fun, not doing the project, but talking rubbish in general.
but OB!
YEURGH!!

anyway yesterday me and mol headed over to vivocity, you know, caught up in the whole craze like typical singaporeans.
it was okay, i guess. good place to shop if you can't make up your mind between zara, topshop, mango, forever21 and esprit. BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL THERE. my favourite haunts :)
but if you are weary people, like me and mol, do get dinner first unless you want to wind up really pissed off with the enormity of the shopping centre (yet the lack of restaurants and cafe)

we ended up at starbucks, bitching as usual.
we started talking about dunman, then somehow led to people whom we really don't want to see if there was a gathering. heh. we are evil people -chuckles-

no more printed tops for me! (still traumatised over the prc-with-the-same-zara-top-as-me incident)

mol has shaky hands

i know, i need to do something about my hair.

anyway, vivocity isn't that fantastic right now. but i should think it'd be much better after all everything's up and running in december

oh! guess who we saw at bedok interchange later that night!

funny chinyong!!

me: "chingyong! i wanna take photo with you!"
chinyong: "okok. quick quick"
mol: "three of us how to take together!"
chinyong: "who says you take with us? you take for us lah!"
mol: "…"

WELL! i just spent the last 4 hours, FOUR HOURS mind you! on a marketing tutorial question which we eventually gave up doing anyway.
jeez. i still cannot believe we're supposed to talk about an actual company when answering the questions. how to survive exam, i ask you??

anyway. i had a nostalgic couple of hours this morning when i took 158 from aljunied back to dunman :) (yes i end damn early - 1030! - on thursdays)
i didn't bother getting off the bus, so i happily took it to the end at serangoon. (BAD BAD choice. the bus was not air-conditioned and i nearly choked to death on all the smog and dust and haze and whathaveyous)
it was such a pleasant sight to behold, the blue and white buildings. OMG I MISS DUNMAN SO DAMN MUCH SOMETIMES!
those were the days where i actually did well in school, loved going for CO, and thoroughly enjoyed going to school, and where ponning school never crossed my mind.
that is, until sec4. i blame my lousy form teacher (like i blame him for my rapidly deproving maths aptitude. yes if you must ask, i used to get 80-90 plus for maths in lower sec thanks to the wonderful mr teo tiong hin, until he came along and killed whatever minimum interest i had in maths in the first place. )
right, we shall forget about all unpleasant things related to dunman shall we? that would include that sec3 geog teacher -sniggers- and that horrible replacement MEP biatch
I LOVE DUNMAN!! the best four years of my schooling life :)
next week i'd take a trip back to visit vj, perhaps?
hahahaha. just kidding.
nothing for me to be nostalgic 'bout. -shrugs-
alright that's not true.
CCA was great fun; how else would i then get to know those crazy vs juniors!!
the first three months was probably the best time i had the past two years.
the lectures we skipped to hide out and play computer games at sianghan's house.
the many many many kbox sessions after school!
the school events we ponned (remember the sports day where me, sianghan and cindy actually ran out of school and hid in his house, afterwhich we went to orchard to shop -_____-)
i had fun in vj, no doubt.
and of course, it's where you also learn to be more wary of certain people around.
download google earth if you're bored! however, for some reason, the area where NTU is located is totally blurred, so it's impossible to get a good view of anything at all. sheesh!
anyway, caught the silly jackie chan movie today. silly, but thoroughly enjoyable.
and i swear, that little angel of a baby would make you want to marry an angmoh so that you could have a little eurasian baby of your own.
SO CUTE CAN DIE!!
of course, for more cute things, there is the gorgeous louis koo!
oh, he has lovely dimples!
and there are hilarious cameos by the equally cute nicholas tse and daniel wu.
the show was totally worth the 8 bucks!
ok time to sleep.

i'm so tired i talk even less sense that i do usually

-pause-

yeah. that was a spaced-out moment.

bah. i cant do this. toooooo tired.

i was talking to my friend today on the way home.
she was complaining about this guy she knows who speaks R-E-A-L-L-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y and thinks R-E-A-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-Y S-L-O-W-L-Y as well (no joke.)
she then said this:

"if he's good looking still never mind, at least then i can look at him while he thinks"

HAHAHA. quote of the day, i say!

i think i just really, really dislike sunday nights.

i have said this before; sometimes it feels like i'm living two totally different lives:
a monday-to-friday, NBS, choked-full-of-projects-tutorials-worrying-bout-exams-one
and a spent-with-old-friends-whether-studying-or-hanging-out-one.

and because my weekends are mostly spent at the airport mugging with seah (and today got stupid william! HAHA), having to transit back to the NBS life just tires me out sometimes.
that's why i get horribly cranky every sunday night.

but sure, after a day or two, i'm all back into Full Project Mode, then i'm ok again.
then i'll look forward to the weekend.
oh it's just a bloody cycle!

ok i am not making sense.

lemme just make saying this every sunday a habit: I DISLIKE OB TREMENDOUSLY!!

BUT I WILL GET AN A FOR IT. RAWR!!

if everything goes well, i'd be able to meet up with lots of friends this week :) that would make me very happy and that would be a motivation (OB! OB!) to work hard over the weekend.
william+seah: stupid horror movie on hor. -grins-
dee: please let's go watch the departed! i have a need to bitch too heh.
mol: can you please also pray that you don't need to work on friday? I WANT TO GO TO VIVOCITY.

i was watching this episode of Friends a couple of days ago.

Ross went to a self-tanning booth, and ended up with a half a tan, so basically he was dark in front, and white at the back. heh.

Chandler: "wow. you could do a duet of Ebony and Ivory all by yourself"

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. i burst out laughing in front of my computer.

you don't get it do you? never mind. i shall just concede that i know songs that are not from my era. :(

mother (to friend): "oh you listen to class95 too? that's what my daughter listens to!"
friend: "wah. why your daughter so 老气 one?"

this is just a list of things i need to do for the weekend, to add on to the whole pointlessness of entries heh heh heh.

1. stats report
2. OB research
3. marketing - research for nokia.
4. stats tutorial
5. read OB chapter on individual behaviour (oh seriously, it sounds much, much more interesting than it actually is. i swear you can just fall asleep on the textbook)

and to make things abit more unrealistic

6. start making notes for marketing. heh.

i am tired, so i shall just blog about stupid things.

i shall blog about pretty things (hahaha. i am well on way to sounding like a full fledged bimbo)
but i will have you remember that it's all in the name of marketing research!

oh speaking of marketing, I LOVE MY GROUP!
now how do i go about putting it without sounding all haolian?

ah sod it. we worked our asses off for it, we even had to sacrifice aesthetic value and wear fugly hang ten green shirts for our presentation!!
(yes in case you didn't know, i condemn all clothes from bossini, giordano, hang ten, OP and the like)
one A+, one more to go!
and i love my group not just because we're damn good, but also because they're all friggin' funny people HAHAHAHA. :)

WAHAHHAHA. FUGLY GREEN!!! excuse me, but i cannot stop laughing.

ahem yes. aesthetically pleasing things.

louis vuitton monogram multicolore priscilla (yes, the bag has a name, damnit!)

stila eyeshadow. gorgeous packaging.

-whistles- HOT!

hahaha. cmon. you saw this coming.

ah anyway. thus concludes this very pointless entry.

in a decidedly lousy mood today.

there would be NO MORE mugging sundays spent at home because i accomplish nothing at home.
and the dislike for OB is increasing by the day. the textbook is unbelievably boring, the thought of the project irks me to no end. RAWR!!

anyway. jimmy choos anyone?
this beauty costs 385 pounds, so that would be.. 1144 Sing dollars according to the exchange rate today. :)

and this baby costs 895 pounds = 2660 Sing dollars.

i reckon jimmy choos are the tiffany's of shoes.

anyway so conclude your guide to finer things in life for today. now i shall go back to sulking over stats.

we braved the haze today (-deadpans-. we all know that we easterners have the better deal) and headed to parkway for some kbox and celebrate liren's birthday at the same time.
oh well, he paid for all of us in the end, some birthday celebration. all the same, thanks dude! :)
stupid mollie told me he wouldn't be able to make a couple days ago, and turned up today, and gave all of us a shock.

jeremy "i don't want to look taller than minyan" poh.

this reminds me of wednesday while we were walking down orchard rd, bitchin' as usual.
a woman ran out of nowhere, grabbed my arm, and thrusted a notebook into my face
"miss, miss. i'm looking for models. please gimme your name and number please???"
i pulled away and started muttering that i'm not interested (没诚意!)while mollie laughs happily by my side.
she starts begging again, so i started feeling quite sorry (but also quite annoyed because she's obviously just trying to find any ah gou ah mao to fill up her book, given her tone) and hopped over to the other side of mollie and asked him to give her his number instead.
heh. she started pestering him

well anyway we eventually got rid of her.

ANYWAY.
the bloody haze created a mass of phlegm in my throat and for some reason caused my voice to veer towards the high-pitch range, WHICH is damn irritating because, like i told mol and poh, i have a tremendous dislike towards helium-filled voices that sing constantly in the high range because there is NO RANGE, and hence it gives me a HEADACHE.
i can name people like rainie yang and guo mei mei off the top of my head.
yar lar. not their fault that they are born with shrill voices.

i like my rich and generous relatives on my dad's side because once in a while they decide to treat everybody to dinner and hence we all tan dio.
it was an italian affair at a snazzy little restaurant along killiney road, just opposite lee wei song's school of music.
very expensive, yet there's so much pasta one can stomach.

yes that's a bloody lot of food. nobody could finish it.

well gotta run. i've got a bad feeling that next week is not going to be a pleasant week at all. LOOK FORWARD TO THURSDAY!

ah mol and i were walking down orchard road today.

me: "you know, yesterday i had a feeling (edited because i forgot that premonitions are bad feelings, and i can't possibly have a bad feeling about seeing jonathan, eh? heh) that i would see somebody from Singapore Idol at orchard road today. and i saw paul twohill! which means my feelings are very accurate, which means that if i say i want to see somebody famous again ie jonathan leong, i would see him!"
mol: "no you won't. you have already seen paul twohill, you won't see jonathan leong"
me: "no lor. i will. i'm usually very accurate. you'll see. a famous face will appear soon, and it's going to be jonathan!"
mol: "no you're not"
me: "i will"
mol: "will not will not will not will not will not will not will not"
me: "will too!"

we continue walking.

mol: "OMG THAT'S STEVEN LIM FROM SINGAPORE IDOL!!" -points to crazy guy in front who's approaching random passerbys and having them run away in terror-
me: "damn. so he's the famous face from SI"

-afterthought-

me: "hey! I AM SO DAMN ACCURATE!"
me: "so i'm going to see jonathan later"
me: "hmmmmm. what should i do if i really see jonathan..................."
mol: "you are SIAO."

sadly, jonathan didn't materialise :(

if you've got the chance, do download "chasing cars" by snow patrol.
such a lovely song!

(but i do suspect that it's due to the fact that jonathan performed it during SI that i love the song. hahaha!)

if i just lay here, would you lie with me, and just forget the world?

anything for you, jonathan!!

stop making that 'puke' face, seah! you do not understand his charisma
-waves hand in a dismissive manner-

so handsome! :)

me: I LOVE JONATHAN!!!
mol: er.. why? he cute meh? i think i fare better.
me: he has small sexy eyes!!
mol: i have big dreamy ones
me: he has such a lovely smile!
mol: i have a megawatt grin
me: he has long hair! HAHAHA.
mol: i have short funky hair.
me: ok i think we can stop here.

another good reason to be living in the east.

there is practically NO HAZE HERE!

hahahahahahhaa. poor kampong people of the west.
how horrible. you could practically walk through the wall of smoke after coming out of the classroom. -sniffs-

i'm never going to wear that top i wore to my class gathering couple of weeks ago again
i saw a PRC in school wearing that exact same one, was horribly traumatised by the sight, and promptly swore to condemn that top to the back of my wardrobe.

bloody zara.

ohhhhhh. this is so saaaaad!

She has feelings. She has a heart. In fact, she probably has a bigger and better heart than any woman you've ever known because she's had a front-row seat to The Mess That Is Your Life, and she likes you anyway. She obviously sees something worthwhile and redeeming in you because although you've given her nothing, absolutely no reason to still be around, she is.

(i ripped it off from my friend's blog)

so sad! -wipes tear-

hahahaha siao.
i believe i'm emo-ing purely because stupid 933 is playing soppy songs, tomorrow i have a presentation, and it's going to be another long week ahead. :(

i was being my usual kaypoh self and browsing through friendster

then i saw a change in photo in one of my contacts' page.

mind you, just two weeks ago, he had his page filled with pictures of him and his new girlfriend. you know, the works. "In A Relationship." BLAH.

so i was thinking, "wah. how come change the pictures already?"
so out of curiosity, i clicked on his page
and lo and behold.
ALL THE PICTURES WERE GONE! "Single" once more.

how long has it been? 3weeks max?
aw. the poor girl didn't even have a chance to type him a lovey-dovey testimonial yet!:(

hahah. yes i find it pretty funny actually. now the girl seemed to be completely wiped out of his life, or rather Friendster page.
