WAKE ME UP WHEN SEPTEMBER ENDS

..and ask junhong help me do my papers can?

i'm in no mood to blog because while typing, every 2 mins, a bloody pop-up would, erm, pop up and break my train of thought.
and i'm sure my computer is slowly but surely crumbling away.
bloody viruses.

anyway i have to go study. i hate prelims. i hate exams.

on a side note, it's always so pleasing to see how some friends earning back something that they've always deserved.
good for you dee :)
nice to see that the other day.

AND THE WORLD IS COLOURFUL ONCE AGAIN.

i've said it once, i'm going to say it again

I'M FILLED WITH CONTEMPT FOR PEOPLE WHO MEMORISE WHOLE GP ESSAYS AND THROW THE ENTIRE BLOODY THING DOWN!! IT'S NOT EVEN THEIR OWN WORK!!

because i'm jealous that they're going to get higher marks than me -scowls-
and they actually have time to do such boliao stuff.

alright, that aside i don't want to comment on today's paper except that it was rubbish and hence i'm going to get rubbish marks. REJOICE!

and i'm in a sulky sulky mood. because no more school already :(
no more school means cannot travel to school. BLARH.

-edit- cos i cannot rhyme for nuts.

i'm bored and i'm sulky. this is not good.

sometimes it disgusts me to see a dunman girl dressing like a total.. ahem totally unlike how a nice decent girl should dress.
if you ask me, there's something very very wrong about a sweet looking girl, who doesn't look more than fifteen years old (she's sec4 actually, i've seen her before), wearing a skirt which is so short that it barely covers her butt, and so low slung it looks as if it's going to slide off her skinny hips anytime.
tsk. what's up with the younger generation (ahem) today!

i'm bored.

oh dominic has seen takuya kimura in person. life ain't fair :(

old habits die hard.
while in my case, they just refuse to roll over and choke.
very very annoying.

and i'm also very very annoyed that i actually have to put aside time from my already crammed schedule to study, of all things, an ENGLISH PAPER.

but i have no choice because
1. people will do better than you if they mug for it, even when they're not really better than you
and
2. i suck at compos recently, which is VERY ANNOYING!

so no choice. i have to study for GP :(
and not as if i would get excellent grades.

damn that bloody teacher who marked my midyear essay.
biased old bat.

well so excuse me while i arm myself with the PM Lee's speech, a week's worth of newspapers, good ol kaleidescope (which is becoming more and more like a Guide to Writing Better GP Essays, complete with Quotes for you to use!) and my trusty dictionary.com and go off for some intensive GP mugging.

ahem.

and anyway in the spirit of the GP exam tomorrow, let me present to you five words which will probably NOT come out for the vocab section.

1. peccadillo : a slight offense; a petty fault
2. tyro: a beginner in learning; a novice
3. schadenfreude: a malicious satisfaction obtained from the misfortunes of others.
4. truculent: fierce; savage; ferocious; barbarous, cruel; destructive; ruthless.
5. ephemeral: short-lived; existing or continuing in a short while only.

while it may not come out for the comprehension part, maybe you can try incorporating it into your GP essay.
like

i was so mad at that bloody tyro, that when he committed a peccadillo, me, being the truculent person i am, had a schadenfreude and mocked at him. unfortunately, the euphoria was ephemeral when i realised that his dad was my boss.

(and i wonder why i don't do well for GP essays)

there you go!

have fun studying!

Beautiful Stranger

Haven't you heard?
I fell in love with a beautiful stranger
I looked into your face
My heart was dancing all over the place

stupid song from the stupid movie.

this is indeed a rarity!
it has been a fantastic week!
(oh yes. happy belated birthday to jarmie!)
everything's going okay and i AM HAPPY.
(oh man. this is so rare i must remember this date!)

and besides.
i got new motivation to go school YAY. CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS! (again)
ehh well.
not exactly.
but i've got motivation to make it as far as ahem. the bus-stop outside tj. which is pretty near vj so i'm well on my way :)

but wah lau. of all times to have motivation. the school year's almost up.

and anyway due to these, erm, circumstances, wil and i have been in contact the past three mornings.
haha. and every single one of his smses were so funny that i probably looked like an idiot smiling to myself on the bus.
tell me, who else other than him would bother to walk around the SCHOOL to look for a person with just a few stupid descriptions which probably fitted half the school population? not to mention the school compounds not exactly like vj's. (ie. puny)
so sweet :)
then again. i think he was just being his usual kaypoh self
kidding!

well for the record, he managed to find the person and called me to describe the person over again to confirm.
when i told him it sounded correct, he went "yah. i thought so too. looks like the type you would like."
it wasnt meant to be funny but i nearly died laughing.
anyway it made me very happy for the rest of the day so there!

so! the sun is shining and the birds are singing again!

siao.

i think distractions are good for the heart and mind.
if not the trip on tuesday would have been traumatising.

well anyway folks next time if you happen to enter wheelock place from the underpass, take a look at the glass door on your extreme right.
if you happen to see glass cracks or whatever..

well let's just say we were embarrassed out of our minds by the same person who thought fruits are halal -___________-
that's a long story.
the impact was actually loud enough to have a shopkeeper run out of his shop to see what happened.
oh well.
never mind. we all had a good laugh over it.
after the shock.
and after feeling relieved that no security was coming.

back to the books it is then.

i want to go school tomorrow!

no. actually i don't. :)

Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

haha. i cannot stand myself sometimes.

i'm in an absolutely cheery mood now! (despite the horrible headache just now)
CONGRATULATIONS AND CELEBRATIONS!

i wonder if it's due to the effect of the iced latte or i'm just in a plain giggly mood.
haha!

now just about everything amuses me.

i flipped open my diary and saw the com photos taken from two years ago and i couldn't stop laughing at the one i took with mj.
like OMG. WE LOOK LIKE SHITE!
anyone wants to see that photo? i would gladly cut myself out of the photo and sell it to you for 2 bucks.
haha. kidding!
(told you i'm in a funny mood)

anyway i've realised that another of my greatest fears (besides falling down the stairs of the overhead bridge outside school -winces-)
is people knowing what i'm thinking.
C'MON ADMIT IT. you know what i'm talking about. (at least mandy does. haha!)
like when you're thinking 'god, that guy sure is cute!'
you most certainly do not want that guy to know what you're thinking.
sometimes the way they seem to know what you're thinking scares the hell out of me. never fails to unnerve me man.
for example like usually when i'm just minding my own business thinking , 'gosh, _______ is so darn cute!', (which i do most of the time haha) sometimes the person would turn around and give me a huge shock.
and then i'd be like 'oh man. i sure hope he doesn't have ESP.'
0_0
mandy knows what i'm talking about okay! (defensive tone)
we have to thank our overactive imaginations for that.

i saw something which i wrote before. and it was, frankly speaking, heartbreaking because i've completely forgotten about it.
and now i remember again.
tsk.
oh well.

isn't it lovely to be remembered by your friends?

a call from jia cheered me up much on friday.
haha. where am i going to find another person who thinks so much like me?
so much so that we even tell our respective friends the exact same things, even when we're, hmm, far apart. (yeah. like the distance between marine parade and bishan hahaha)
it's amazing man.

our conversation went something like this

jia: "guess what. i'm not going prom!"
me: "NO WAY! i'm not going either!"
jia: "!! and i was so sure you'd be going!"
me :"i thought YOU would go for sure!"
jia: "haha no way lah. i was saying 'no way am i going to spend three hundred bucks...'"
me: "!!! i told my friends i didn't want to spend three hundred bucks on prom too!!"
jia: "!! besides all the people important to me are not going, and it's so superficial to go there and take photos!"
me : "TOTALLY?? and somemore you'd see all the poseurs who would surely spend like a fortune just to stand out from the crowd"
jia : " yah yah! and after that they would just go clubbing. who wants to spend 20 bucks going to a club to watch people dance and breathe in all that smoke?? i'd rather go pubbing man"
me: "AH!! SAME!! i want go pubbing!! haha. and besides i can't stand some of my school people."
jia: "YEAH!! and i can't stand my school people either."
-pause-
jia: "i miss dunman :("
me: "me too :("

hahaha. so funny!

:( i miss all my old friends. i miss hf, wil and jia!!
i miss my MEP class peeps.

it's just so sweet that people still bother to catch up with you in this period of time when all most people care about are their books.
(ie. she was just as bored as i was with studying. no choice lah haha)

oh and besides, who else adores nicky cheung as much as i do?
(i think jamie thinks i'm crazy haha)
speaking of whom, must be the cutest HK actor around. :D
who gives two hoots about gallen lo or louis koo!
god, look at those lovely smiley sparling eyes!! (yes. i realise i have a soft spot for guys with smiley ^________^ eyes heh)
any HK serial drama or movie, no matter how dumb it may be, as long as there's nicky cheung, i'm prepared to waste the time just so i can look at him

which is not very good for my study schedule nowadays because it means that on wednesday to friday nights 10 to 11pm, i'm glued to the tv.
and i watched his movie yesterday night til 12.30. :(

oh! and i am reminded again that for the sec 4's angel and mortal game (where with some ultra suay twist of fate, hf was both my mortal and angel -______-)
hf gave me a vcd for one of the stupidest movies i've ever watched (but never mind because nicky cheung was inside)
and a card, where he signed off as zhang jia hui because.. ah never mind it's not funny
haha but nevertheless, loved the vcd :)

bahh. i think school's such a waste of time nowadays. GIVE us the study break NOW!

STUPIDITY AND ME

oh why does it not surprise me?
that i'm going to regret
what i've done

i think i may finally grasped the absurdity of it all.
why something like that had happened.

i finally understand.

not because it was important, not because it mattered.
but because it was a niggling matter
that flawed the seamless plan.
fix it.
and it'd be perfect.
who cares what happened after that?
i understand.
and i'm doing that.
soothe the worry. that's all.

by the way i don't really care if no one understands what i'm talking about.

i'm trying to watch Closer without my mom knowing.

Of Failures and Other Happy Things

well since i can't figure out how to show the titles, i might as well type it here.

obviously the week hasn't been going very well.
i'm tired and i'm depressed. oh boy things just can't get any better.
at this point of time, where your self-confidence is particularly delicate, it would probably not be too good to fail in something which normally you're good at.

once is okay. twice is not.

haha. the horrifying after-effects of failure.
your shattered belief in yourself.
it's difficult to pick yourself up again, and i should know that.
there are not many instances where i have managed to pick up, move on, improve.
and because of all these, i'm more inclined to believe that i really cannot get myself out of this rut.

boy that sucks.

she often wonders to herself, 'isn't there some kind of imbalance here?'

one of these days i would tell myself
I CAN DO IT. I WILL NOT FALL BECAUSE OF THIS.
but not today.

i'm sure everyone knows that kind of feeling
at some point or another
where sadness threatens to overwhelm you
and as cliche as it may sound,
like you're going to drown in your own emotions.

and today is one of those days.
where everything seems to be going wrong.

I try to smile my tears away
I try to keep my cool
but one more door gets in my way
I feel like such a fool
Trampled and bitter
My heart just wants to bleed and stop
Believing in me

this shall pass. THIS SHALL PASS.

seen somewhere:

indeed, some things are just imperfect and full of flaws.
but to some of us, these are just what we need.
and they surpass every other seemingly perfect objects.
it is these flaws which make them stand out from the crowd.
make them special.
make them beautiful.
and to us, nothing would ever be better than these.

weird. but true. -shrugs-

something can hardly be classified as revenge when it doesn't even affect the person in the slightest bit.

hello? you're just wasting your own time and effort?

hmpph. some people are just plain dumb.

you love the way i look at you
while taking pleasure in the awful things you put me through

you love the things i said i'd do
the way i hurt myself again just to get back at you
you take away when i give in
my life
my pride is broken.

the whole point of making mistakes is to learn from them, so that you wouldn't repeat them again.

GOT THAT?

by the way, i'm giving up on my insistence and stubborness.

i AM TIRED.

bye.

you kept me flying.
you kept me smiling.
you understood me.

holding on to the good, letting go of the bad
she buried her past today.

S. I. A. N. L. A

was going into full PMS mode.
until i saw this line in the comprehension passage.

the mind is liquid, fickle. who is not familiar with its fast swinging tides, the way it re-arranges our memories of, and judgements on, our past experience?

then my mood swung from bad to okay. :)

anyway maybe i've finally uncovered the truth behind my thinking too much.
because i keep asking myself, what would i have done if i were in that situation. what i would be thinking of.
and yeah. usually i don't quite like what i think of.
because i think, if i can think of things this way, so can the other person
even though, i'm just being, yah, think-too-much.
sian lah.
not making sense.

you know how it feels like to have an internal conflict with yourself?

like just now, i nearly got mad at some minor stuff and very very nearly wanted to unleash the inner demons (i blame it on PMS. won't happen any time soon :))
practically struggling to keep it all in because yah like i said, very very nearly. consequences wouldn't have been too optimistic.
so i struggled. n struggled. in the meantime i went to do my comprehension. and scribbled down what i was mad about.
and after 1/2 hour of struggle, my common sense won. :)

so now i know, the next time i get mad at something which i shouldn't be mad at in the first place, i'd just have to go write it all down, then i'd be appeased.

oh well. today is not a very good day.

it's funny how you think some things would change for the better after the many difficulties you have gone through to get to where you are today.

you would think that after a major fallout, your friendship would be stronger than ever.

you thought wrong then.

this is the last time i'm going to talk about this.
i need to clarify some matters.
and after today
there's nothing more i can do.

if we (note it is WE not YOU. because i concede that i've been childish too) still continue to behave the way we are,
then there's nothing i can do.
i will be neutral towards this whole thing of course. it's your choice if you wish to let things remain the way they are.
and i promise. it's perfectly okay.

ahem. relevant people/person please continue reading. the rest, no need to do so. you won't get it anyway.

this is not a plea for us to be friends again.
i honestly believe that we can never be good friends again.
your problem? mine? i don't really care.
the only thing that's probably disturbing me is that, how we can turn out to be more like enemies than anything else, in a space of a few months
yeah. i admit it. i was disturbed.
but before my thinking got warped enough to believe that i'm in the wrong again
i realised it's not entirely my fault.
and i say, neither it is yours.
maybe you've changed. maybe i have.

i used to hang on to this friendship so much because i stubbornly believed that you were the only one who really understood the way i thought.
sadly. up til recently.
but i was wrong. very wrong.
perhaps you did. yup like 2 years ago maybe.
and if that's the only reason why i still hope for us to be friends
then i guess there's no reason why i should bother anymore.

and besides,
i don't need your put-downs. i don't need your comments.
you've changed too much.
i'm sorry i called you scum. nobody deserves that kind of remarks. i should think you saw that, judging by your behaviour after that. if you didn't, well. sorry.
but that's the only thing i'm apologising for.

the whole point of typing this today is to tell you that
i really, really do not need to be friends with you anymore.
please. it would shock people to know that we were once good friends judging by the way we act today.
i don't need you to come clear things up. haha. sorry, i don't think you would either.
besides, it won't work
almost a year since you last told me that you wanted to clear things up.
any changes? nope.
i don't need the false hope.

it's okay. perfectly okay.
i'm not mad at you.
in fact, your blatant ignorance of me in school makes me amused more than anything else.
because i think, gosh, how much more can a person change!
i'm not confused. i'm not angry. i'm not upset.
because, why bother to change things that can't be changed anyway?

so why do i still spend time typing this you ask?
haha. i stress once again i'm not hoping to be friends
i do this because i think it's disturbing the way we act around each other. (not sad disturbing. just plain weird disturbing)
(i think you may have said that before last year. haha. but is it what you still think?)
not to mention it is fairly childish and immature. very pri school.
yah. partly my fault also lah.
but i'm going to have to change that.
we don't need to be friends. we don't even need to be aquaintances. we can just be people who know each other exists.
i would be doing my part of course.
but whether you want to or not, i'm not going to lose sleep over that.
if you still insist on acting this way.
welll.....
up to you.
i've tried! haha.

funny how things can be so clear all at once isn't it?

i'm sorry that i actually felt so bad over this whole thing for so long. it feels sooo good to be wake up one day and realise, hell! i've been an idiot!
i've wasted enough time and emotions.
but hey. better late than never.

haha. i'm so okay now!

okay enough to feel really worried about that bloody biochem test on thursday lah damnit.

you know what is one thing that i've learnt out of this whole thing?

never ever, i repeat, NEVER, get yourself upset over the troubles of other people.
it's one thing to be concerned and sympathetic.
it's another to get yourself right in the middle of all that shit
whoo! it brings whole new meaning to "put yourself in the shoes of other people"
and besides
chances of the other person doing the same for you is practically non-existent.
(hey. you're talking about getting yourself emotionally and physically involved leh. why would anyone want to be so dumb. just because you are doesn't mean the rest of the world is ya know? haha)
that is why more than often not.
i want to delete the whole of my august and september archives. (oh don't bother checking them out. you can't tell what i'm talking about)
bloody trying and annoying i tell you.

so the next time a person gets into some emotional trouble or what, i'm just going to have to pat him/her on the back and coo sympathetically "oh you poor dear!" and then go back to my biochem notes.

KIDDING LAH CAN?

anyway go to this website if you have an english name. very fun!

Question: What do underaged chao ah lians do in their free time?

Answer: In addition to bumming around not doing their homework, they also
1. watch movies
2. hang around fast food centres
3. hang around arcades and neoprint stalls
4. hang around areas where those people from the superstar show usually appear (and proceed to damage the hearing of everyone in the vicinity when they do appear)
4. and annoy the hell out of me with their typically shrill and loud voices (so inconsiderate!) which spew hokkien vulgarities non-stop. (pui!)

and they also..

WAIT FOR THEIR TAIWANESE IDOLS AT THE AIRPORT!

but well. it was thanks to them that we found out that these people were actually coming today.
hey what do you know. i do have a natural affinity with these stars.
to date i have seen countless celebrities in person.
i have attempted to make a list and i've always failed because..
aiyah too many lor. :)
well anyway. added to the list would be wilbur pan, k-one, FIR, guo pin chao (jamie and mandy faints haha!) and machi.
not that i care of course.
except for guo pin chao.
he's pretty darn goodlooking haha.

i suddenly turned real grouchy just now while reading my econs notes.

because i remembered something which somebody said and i realised it was a major FLAW.
not that i would want to go point it out.
because really, who likes getting into pointless arguments?
so too bad for me.

so she smashes them back to bits again.

the vase of trust has always been placed precariously on the edge of the table.

til one day, it slipped.

and smashed into a million pieces.

people tell her to try to piece it back together, piece by piece, because you see, trust is a beautiful thing.

the process may take forever, may be difficult. but once you have that vase back, you'd realise how happy you would be.

so she tries.

day by day. piece by piece.

true enough. it's nowhere an easy task. and there are times where her fingers are cut by the edges of the especially-sharp glass pieces.

she bleeds. but she perseveres.

too many times, too close, she wants to give up.

sometimes she asks herself, "why bother? it would never ever be the same as it was before!"

ah. but you see. would you rather a vase which you neglected in the first place, or a one after being painstankingly pieced back again, you would treasure and take care of carefully?

she isn't too convinced. but she would try to believe.

she would try to forget the fact that her friend betrayed her. she would try to forget how her friend bitched about her behind her back. she would try to forget how her friend bitched about her to the guy that she (her friend, not her) likes, and pretended that she never said anything.

she can forgive, she thinks. but she cannot forget.

the above post has been grossly overexaggerated and any resemblance is, like i said, due to your overactive imagination. and also due to the fact that i'm terribly bored and i wanna act cheem can?

i love the fact that many people think that i'm a person that can be trusted with their secrets. obviously they are right :)
haha.
someone told me his secret today, and i asked him, why tell me?
i was surprised because, honestly, we weren't that close. we were okay friends, but not the type that you would go around sharing secrets with.
he told me
"because you look like you can be trusted. and i believe i don't have bad judgement"

SIA LA! so touching can?
:)

my alma mater is raising funds for the young film director (maker?) who graduated some 11 years ago, because he was involved in an accident some time ago when filming in India (or somewhere) and now he's paralysed for life.
it was in the news. quite big somemore i heard. because he's really talented.
my old school, never minding the fact that he graduated a long long time ago, is now urging all students to please donate generously.

oh and you know he's from THIS school too?

not a single peep from anyone.

no wonder people, after they get famous, never liked to acknowledged their junior colleges.

prime example being one of the recent president scholars, who told the press that he owed his success to his secondary school(which happens to be mine too :)), whilst not giving a single mention about his junior college, a premier college in the bishan-angmokio area. (don't look at me. i quoted that from the mother of the student from this school who wrote in to complain about the students taupoking each other long long time ago. quite funny actually. that poor guy)

(digression: really lah. what's with the premier??)

so anyway. my mom said this: "还是华校比较有人情味。” when i told her that my school made no mention of the accident.
i've got nothing to add on.

everyone knows us for our school spirit. i can tell you that is non-existent.
everything you see at matches, fun fairs, whatevers, it is there to prove that we have school spirit.
unless the particular sports we are cheering for has performed consistently well over the years. more so if you are from a premier junior college (cos we cant win you in most things, so die die oso must win in school spirit).
in reality? groans resonate around the hall when the mass dance music sounds. and by the end of the first song, only 1/4 of the students are left.
oh i really shouldnt be talking about this.
makes me sianed.
because it reminds me again of all the back stabbing going on.
i told my friend.
we have no choice. it is like this. just take it as a learning process. too many people are like that out in the society.

but of course, once in a while, a little incident can make you more optimistic about the people in the school.
my pri school friend.
haven't seen her for awhile.
and even when are paths cross, it's awkward.
because she runs with the sports crowd. high profile and everything.
you would think that given the status (i would sneer about this but i won't because she's my friend) she has, she wouldn't give me the time of the day anymore.
but she still gives me very nice smiles when she sees me.
proof that, thank god, there are still nice people left in the school.

what was a movie outing for the three of us girls turned out to be a dhsco outing.
me lyd seah wes chinyong jd and coincidentally soonkeat who was there to watch the movie alone.
fantastic movie. :)
i felt like a kid all over again.
with all the scenes in the book, which i have tried so hard to picture, coming to life.
everyone needs to relieve their childhood once in a while i'm sure.
that's why more than half of the audience were teenagers and adults.
AH I WANT CHOCOLATE!

i've been inspired (after months and months of annoyance) to do a list of

I DO NOT UNDERSTAND(s): (this shall be an ongoing list)

1. how my dad can turn up the volume on the radio tuned to the uncle of all morning shows on 958fm. never mind that, but during the YOU HUA ZI JI SHUO segment. which must be the most MOST annoying thing since.. whatever. (if you are a fellow sufferer, my sympathies, and let us thank god that there are such things called mp3 players.)

2. what the boliao uncles and aunties of singapore do in their spare time.
they either write in to lianhe zaobao to complain about judges not being fair on that superstar competition (cos some eliminated contestant is student of some judge. don't know. don't care), or they call up YOU HUA ZI JI SHUO and complain about culling cats (still??) or peanuts (ha ha)or some random kid making noise at the void deck of their HDB apartments.

i'm sure it'd do a fat lot of use, you know, complaining on a segment on a show which no one listens to except eighteen year old students going to school on her dad's car who has no choice cos dad doesn't understand class95, and then subsequently make fun of you on her blog. oh and i'm sure the fact that it airs at the ungodly hour of 6.45 to 7.00 is just a coincidence. and the fact that it is only 15 mins. (i may be wrong. but 15 mins of those obviously memorised speeches is more than enough)

3. how my mom can stand those korean dramas. (i for one, loved winter sonata, but there are terrible exceptions).
those characters either cry throughout the whole show or yell. and when they cry, i mean CRY. like howling-cry. of course that's good acting for you. but all it does is make me want to ask my mom to please turn down the volume.
that or they YELL really loudly at each other. like HOWLING-yell. and they do it SUDDENLY. so that more than often not, i get scared real bad.

4. how some people, when are actually saying that basically means you-stupid-lazy-bum-of-a-student-who-does-not-participate-in-class-discussions-so-you-are-a-misfit!, they can make it sound real nice, but at the same time, not betraying the ill-disguised tone of disgust in the voice.
(i think all these was just to make me feel guilty. but i do not buy it. sorriee!)

ahem. neither do i buy dota.

5. how people, girls in particular, can backstab each other, seconds after said person walks away.
true incident during music fest:
group of year one girls sitting behind us, bitching about practically everyone they know.
their senior walks past them
"oh look it's *****!" -air kiss air kiss- (of course not. but you know what i mean) they exchange pleasantries. chatchatchat.
five minutes later the senior leaves.
"oh my gosh. she shouldn't have worn that pair of jeans, her ass so big, makes it look even bigger!" "yeah!" -snickersnicker-

sigh. nice girls and all yeah?

6. what the whole point of having a inter jc blog competition is.

7. what's the big deal about being the no. 1 favourite jc blog!. and why people actually bothered to do a live-ad just to ask people to please vote. must be to win raffles lah. what else. cannot win them (in most things) so must win this.

oh this is nice. to be continued.

DISAPPOINTMENT IS:

when the person you thought to be so great is actually far from that, and worse still, makes a turn towards the type of people that you actually have a great dislike for.

INSINCERITY IS:

1. when someone says one thing and means another.
2. when someone does not keep the promises that he/she has made.

AMUSEMENT IS:

watching the kids of junyuan pri. school having a soccer match on a miniature field, complete with miniature goalposts and miniature players running after a larger-than-life (relatively speaking of course) soccer ball.
(the referee looked distinctively out of place that poor guy)

BLISS IS:

lying in your warm comfy bed reading a novel, with corrinne may on the radio and heavy rain outside your window.

there is only so much disappointment that a person can take before the waves of pain on her poor heart is too much to bear.
she then builds up walls. stone cold walls around her heart, to lessen the impact of these waves on her tired weary heart.
and very soon, the impact is indeed insignificant, and she can only feel the pain far, far away.

she has thus become a spectator of her own pain.

Now now.

don't act so surprised you.

you know this was going to happen.

how could I, narcissistic ol' me, possibly stand not having a blog for more than a week?? no way. note: self-depreciation well on the way, i'm off to a very good start indeed! (refer to disclaimer notice)

for those in the know, thanks for the concern, greatly appreciated.

those who are not, well, please read the disclaimer notice first. (disclaimer? disclaimer's notice? redundant?)

well obviously, i'm trying to be a much nicer person nowadays.
not that i was a horrid one, you know, per se.
but i'm trying to clean up my attitude. which hasn't been on its best behaviour, since, oh let's see, sec three?
(i must stop like, talking like this, ya know?)
and on my way to change for the good of everyone, i sincerely hope that there would be nothing that can make me change my mind.
and there would not be.
because my friend.
PEACE OF MIND.
all ye irritating little matters, none of my business.
and happy i would be :)

and anyway, i'm not bitching about anyone anymore. too bad. that's bad karma and i don't want that.

(please note that i'm saying all this without a trace of sarcasm or irony. i've more or less given up on that)

well maybe now i'm more boring.
okay lor.
don't read lor.

-shrugs-
life's taking a turn for boredom anyway.
