well the clubbing outing turned out to be a pretty big disappointment.

i think it all started going wrong when we made the very wrong choice of going to stjames instead of MoS as originally planned. and we also went in too early; at around 10 plus.

okay actually i'm lazy to elaborate any further but let's just say that the whole night was wasted by us trudging back and forth between the Powerhouse and the Boiler Room because Powerhouse was playing some disgusting trance music that nobody liked (and we kept going back there in fervent hopes that they would finally play some decent music because it was the only place with ample dance space) and the Boiler Room was just too damn packed with crazy people.
but in the end Boiler Room was still the saving grace because it had a live band which played RnB and that's what we wanted. pity about the tiny dance floor though, because around 1.45 seah me zc and py decided that we have had enough of the lousy clubbing experience for one night and decided to head home.
anyhow! pictures!

dinner at vivo. MISTAKE! that's why we ended up going to stjames! :(

looks like my camera's flash works pretty well in clubs and not anywhere else. hahah.

soonkiat looks so happy! haha

next time we're going MoS. stjames NO MORE!

oh but i'm still happy because of my phone :D heehee

apparently, a diet of no-breakfast (waking up at 12 almost everyday for the past week) + vexed feelings + the occasional gym session,
does wonders for your weight.

(how does vexed feelings contribute actually? vexed = pekcek = heart pump faster = higher blood circulation = higher metabolism?? oh well, i don't know. i can't do science)

well, no matter! it's good anyway. heehee :P

toodles! i'm off for another gym session! it is becoming sort of an addiction.

post gym: WAH SUPER GOOD MOOD!!! :D i LOVE the tampines gym!

"i'm going to be a star! steve you're the best! oh my god stan, how upset are you? no seriously, on a scale of 1 to pissed.. oh who gives a flying fick, i'm a star!!"
MAN I JUST LOVE THIS SHOW TO BITS.

absence, unlike its effect on other people, does every single thing but makes the heart grow fonder for me.
and in fact, it's a good thing. because suddenly i am able to gain a clearer perspective on things, and i'm also able to listen to my head instead of the over impulsive heart who does nothing but make me grimace sometimes with my over impulsive actions. i'd also like to think i become more rational and mature haha.

so, absence is good, really. :)

it's been a very odd month. july of 2007, the month where time seems to be just positively CRAWLING. also the month where i now feel time has lapsed and somehow my life has just skipped the entire month. HA. what contradictory bullshit.

quote of the day:
"urgh Francine, when i look at your hair, i doubt i can eat the amount i want to vomit"

HAHAHAHA. AMERICAN DAD IS JUST GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!

there's no other way to say this, but

GODDAMNIT! that stupid woman from my accounting group is in marketing!!!!!!!!!!!
-snorts- i wonder who was the one who went on and on about how there's no future in marketing, and wanted to go banking?

oh GOD please don't let me end up in the same class as her again!

the gaps in the timeline seem like a rather pointed indication. nothing has happened lah, just a reminder to myself to not make a wasted investment. :)

i WANT to go to the tampines gym SOON. man, that place rocks, and the shower rooms are probably as good as the ones in condos. and of course, a good workout never fails to make people happy and cheery!

and thanks seah, who listened to me ramble on when i called her last night in a fit of anger. and the normally good-natured seah got pissed off herself after i told her what happened. BLARH. -rolls eyes-

isn't it nice? we're so much better off this way, just like before :) and that's a smile of contentment.

i don't think i would want to mention anymore of the stuff going on right now on my blog; i'd like to keep my blog as happy as possible. no more negative feelings when i look back! :)

will be occupied with more shows in the next coming weeks! i now have episodes of American Dad (so crude, but so damn hilarious. and the campy, effeminate alien just cracks me up like nobody's business) and also -ahem- 岁月风云. RAYMOND LAM! oh lovely! :D
and today was a lazy afternoon at yuexin's aunt's house (yes, very complicated haha) with mahjong and dvd watching. there's nothing quite like a day of mahjong + eric-and-yuexin-squabbling to take your mind off things. HAHA!

and hopefully, -cross fingers- the clubbing outing would finally materialise this saturday. i'm sorry, mj. we have no more time to wait for you haha.

actually, i'm pretty curious to see how i would, hm, respond to a certain presence. a good way to check if i'm really all Katherine-Mcphee about it. heehee.

i sincerely hope tomorrow, or rather, later today, would mark the end of my work. i'm definitely not looking forward to the whole aimlessly-standing-around crap again. hahah i think it's super funny how i tell people that i start work this week and also end within the same week.

oh, by the way people, if you're looking to go kbox and have some dinner, no harm trying out the kbox buffet at marina square. the food was pretty decent and considering how much we ate, i think it's pretty worth it. haha yes we, meaning the TFWA four that got stuck together on the 2nd last day of work. we finally rescheduled our dinner outing til today, and we did actually have quite alot of fun. haha because everybody are decent singers! :) it's amusing because the two guys started off by insisting that they haven't been to kbox in ages and cannot sing, and turned out both of them can sing pretty damn ok lah.

the library at esplande is such a lovely place to just sit and chill when you have nothing better to do. the view's awesome, it's quiet and the armchairs are just perfect for snoozing. ah.. i am reminded of the days where me, jia and wendy would go there to mug for our prelims and then subsequently fall asleep in the chairs. good days, good days. :)

oh, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOLLIE DEAR! i wish you loads of luck in life and love and work and yadayada. hahaha.

i think i'm going to quit my job after this week. it's boring to the core and an absolute torture to my poor feet. well, having said that, i do like working in a music record store because i get to listen to lovely music the entire day (although after awhile you do realise that they loop it every 5 hours or so) and the people there are pretty ok. still, the pay doesn't justify the torture and boredom. haha.

and also, because of this job, i MISSED half of yuexin's birthday celebration!! :( but we did end up having Rocher Tau Hway at geylang after i knocked off. really good tau hway, and we even ate it in true geylang style: in a back alley where hookers and old men wander around. HAHA.

the previous few pictures were supposed to demostrate how chui the whole thing was. we actually had to eat the cake off the paper that came with the you tiao. hahaha.

mj cannot take photos with flash.

hahaha. well, all in all, it was really quite an eye-opening experience, given that we've always celebrated our birthdays at one restaurant or another haha.

three weeks left til the end of hols and i went out and got myself a job which a friend introduced me to. so, friends, if you have nothing to do, pop by taka's gramophone and wave hi to me. i'll be the person trying to look like i have something to do and the one trying not to grimace from the endless hours of standing. MY FEET ARE KILLING ME.

(oh no lah, i'm not working at gramophone. i'm supposed to be representing citibank. super waste of time. the whole day, the thing i spend the most time on was watching Stomp The Yard about 5 times. with no sound. only subtitiles. oh, and thanks to yuexin and huizhi who popped by during my lunch/dinner break. haha i had a most entertaining 1 hour lunch!)

anyway this morning i suddenly recalled a conversation i had with seah. i was telling her about the suntanning session i had with mol and sheryl (i hereby declare the sun has no effect on me whatsoever. i'm still as pale as a piece of paper). she asked me why didnt i go swimming and i said i had no swim suit because the last time i went swimming was back in sec 3. she then told me to go buy a two-piece and i replied that that would only happen when i have a completely flat stomach.
which brings me to my point of, i'm really full of admiration for girls who dare to venture out to the beach in their bikinis even though, well, you know. (seah, i know you read that somebody's blog. HAHAHA) i know i wont be able to do it, so until i have a flat stomach (that is, never) i'm not going swimming anytime soon. haha.

post tanning session with sheryl and mol. evidently, no sun has no effect on me and sheryl. hahaha.

guys are difficult creatures to fathom. and they say women are difficult to understand. BULL. :)

goddamnit man, why can't you just go and TALK to her and let it end once and for all?
why must you leave things hanging in the air? don't you know how painful and torturous that feels??

good grief. stupid BLOCKHEADS of dunman.

stupid, i say. STUPID.

alright! i say, enough of funny thoughts. let's do some catching up on the past few days. i had one of the best weekends ever! nothing but good food, good company and good fun!

saturday saw the usual vjco people at Dynasty once again for some ktv! boy i've missed kbox! after dinner, lyd didnt want us following her around (HAHA) so me, seah and william walked down the entire stretch of orchard, popping into random shopping centres and browsing aimlessly. now we're really really tempted by the pretty new wallets that Guess has! seah has her eye set on a brown one which honestly looks damn good and damn alike to the ones that Gucci has. i like it as well, but unfortunately i reckon Good Friend would probably throw his REAL GUCCI wallet at me should i buy it and give me a long lecture about buying lousy imitation brands. -.-

on sunday, lyd, mol, jieying and i met up for our expendition towards AMK for some of the famous Botak Jones western food. the stall was located at a dingy little coffee house, but actually it wasn't all that bad because the weather was really lovely :) anyway, the portions were gigantic and nobody could finish their food at all, even though it was really yummy.

we even found time to camwhore at the mrt station. hahaha.

monday was eric's birthday, and we started off with a k-lunch session, followed by Transformers, which was awesome by the way; fantastic effects! we then ended the day with a dinner at Billy Bombers, where huizhi completely cracked us up with her ultimate suay-ness (she ordered chickent, it was a tad raw, she sent it back, it came back still raw, she ordered something else, when she tried to give me some to try, she dropped the piece on my bag and on the floor, and then she screamed really loudly and everyone looked at her. HAHAHA :P)

the birthday boy! 20, but still acting like he's 7. hahaha

wahhahhahahahahahaha. i shall just end off with this picture that eric told us to take. :D

i don't like to be wrong-footed.
i like knowing that i'm in control.

i'm sure many of us girls belong to the type of people who believe that we should at least be really good friends with a guy before even thinking of getting together etc etc. in other words, get to really know that guy before starting to have any romantic notions. yup, i more or less agree with this point, i mean, who knows what kind of crappy character that the guy may be hiding initially? but can i just point out gently that liking a friend is just about the biggest mistake you can ever make? (of course, let's just presume that this guy doesn't feel the same way) do you really want to go through the torture of being known as Just a Friend, being treated like just another of the guys, or even worse, being the one he confides in about the girls he likes?

unrequited love/like is just about the worst thing that anyone can be put through. that's why i am never putting myself in this kind of situation again.

reminder to self: all guys are jerks. trust no one. especially those that seem Too Good to be True (i exclude all my friends once again haha)

i don't know what brought this on either.
