so we made it back to dhs after all, but in the end, that biatch of an OM (yes, still that old hag miss seoooow) apparently gave orders to not allow alumni in.

IS THAT THE MOST RIDICULOUS THING OR WHAT??

i should think that we have more right than her to be there!

that old bitch. may there be retribution -snarls-

ahem. so anyway we had to resort to taking photos from outside the gate.

yes that's all we got.

and there's nothing more depressing than seeing the sign outside the school completely gone.
and the thought that even after we return three years later to the new school compounds, the buildings where we used to have lessons may no longer be there anymore.
oh damnit it's all that woman's fault!!

oh i'm going to miss the old dunman buildings!! :(

okay to appease william, i'll have to say that The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson is ALSO VERY VERY FUNNY.

(no seriously. he's sarcastic, (british humour, i like!) but in a nice way. and he's pretty cute for an old guy too.)

BUT I STILL PREFER JEFF DAVIS.

heehee.

had a looooong kbox session with the ob peeps today at marina.
8 hrs for 17bucks, which can be considered damn cheap, but we got cheated actually. never mind!

yes i was pretty surprised by their enthusiasm and high nAff. heeheehee.

but it was all good fun :) the sound system is indeed fantastic and the guys were all very enthusiastic which was bloody hilarious hahahaha.

we had dinner at kfc after that, and because the other ladies had to leave first, i was suddenly very aware (and feeling abit weirded-out) by the fact that i was the only girl among four 21-yr-old guys.
but after that, i realised that they were as childish as william and mollie and the like, so no difference, really. HAHAHA. i am just kidding of course. i meant it in a nice way :)
and they are just as gossipy as girls haha. we started off by bitching about a couple of people in nbs, then it went on to rumours we heard about certain people we know, and somehow ended up talking about horror movies and then, damn!, horror stories, in army and outside, until we were all a little freaked out by ourselves.

(anyway. the main difference between the uni guys and guys my age is that my uni friends actually make ARMY LIFE SOUND INTERESTING. whoa AN ACHIEVEMENT.)
as for guys my age, i often employ the tactic i've mastered since dhsco-TTK's-long-monologues-days of looking attentive but actually day dreaming after asking them how their army lives are. -nodnod- "ooh that sucks!" HAHAHA.

(oh yes. the group's a little different from my OB project group. it's supposed to be two project groups combined together)

happy feet + dhs tomorrow! i love the holidays man!

hallo my NUS pals. don't worry exams would fly by soon :) (just realised that i have no SMU friends)

on a sidenote, it's quite alarming to see the number of dhs guys (DHS HOR. NOT VJC) smoking in ntu. why, i guess kiw turned out to be partially right after all. (ie if u acted beng now, you were probably going to be smoking, joining gangs later on. HAHAHA. that's why i say partially)

these were probably the guys who obstinately gelled their hair into a straight centre parting, and whose shirts were tucked out all the way at the back. oh yes they were the dunman bengs (which is a little oxymoronic, really) so anyway, yes. what a.. (for a lack of better adjectives) not-nice sight.

and anyway nice rex says he'll try to borrow the whoseline (pirated though) dvds from his friend. ALL EIGHT SEASONS! YAY.

i should think seah and william would have something to say about the last part of my previous entry. (i think william is completely and utterly sick of my ending our msn conversations with "bye! and i love jeff davis!")

well hey, if you just look at how gorgeous he is :)
(alright. completely subjective. i do realise i have a thing for guys with dark hair and dark eyes. recall raul, freddie prinze jr and the like. and way back in primary school i preferred kevin over nick carter of BSB and mark over shane of westlife. heehee)

and if being so pretty is not enough, he is also completely hilarious and is a great actor and singer. (hey. he performed on broadway when he was, i don't know, 11 or something. how do i know? hahaha the wonders of google. he is like jiayi's derrick he wei jian ie. the 2nd guy i bothered to google, first being raul of course)

so let me provide physical evidence for you. first being a clip from whoseline, and the 2nd from the drew carey green screen show.

ok for all ye ignoramus, in the clip from whoseline, they play the game called Greatest Hits, where they get a suggestion from the audience, then make up an album plus song styles AND songs right on the spot. as for the second one, the main concept is the same - improvisation right there and there. except that it's easier to watch for people unfamiliar to the whole whoseline idea, with animations and all.

impressive ok :)

JUST WATCH IT LAH. THIS MAY BE THE FUNNIEST 15 MINS OF YOUR DAY.

(and just in case you don't get it, they talk alot of rubbish in the clip. it's supposed to be FUNNY, not realistic. haha)

(oh and some explanations for the 2nd clip. the animations are added on only AFTER the live show, so the audience don't get to see it. and yes, jeff is acting as THREE characters in the clip)

and if sources were to be believed, he was nearly up for the role of Neo in The Matrix. i don't know what happened, but won't he make sucha better Neo than that 2-dimension Keanu Reeves? daaaaammn.

and note to william: if you got anything to say about this post, i've got only this much to say to you. IT'S YOUR OWN FAULT!! HAHAHHAA. WHO ASKED YOU TO INTRODUCE WHOSELINE TO ME!

oh and i love jeff davis :D (man, i don't even care that this post caused the alignment of my blog to turn out all funny)

i was going home with my friend after marketing paper last thurs when i asked him what he was going do after the stats paper.

"go home sleep lah. what else"

"huh. why don't want to go out?"

"gf still having exams, don't feel like going out with my class, and you sure you want to walk around orchard with that stats textbook??" (which of course is about 1250 pages)

i pooh-poohed his refusal to go out and told him he was being antisocial.

damnit i should have listened to him. currently my right arm feels like its circulation has been cut off.

dear god. just let me get whatever grade i need in order not to retake stats next sem. i don't care if it pulls down my GPA. i will get A+ for all my subjects next sem if i have to only if i DONT NEED TO SEE STATS FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE.

had a nice lunch and chat with jiayi at subway after the paper (subway makes girls happy!), then after that it was off for some kbox with jiayin at cine!
the pictures are kinda sucky, but more on thursday hopefully, should we go back to dhs. (i must return asap! i'm terribly afraid that the buildings would have all been demolished by the time we get around to going back)

well for now. IT'S WHOSE LINE AND LOTS OF JEFF DAVIS!!
i went to check out HMV today to see if they stocked the whoseline dvds.
well apparently not many people appreciate good humour.
such an insult! they actually stock shows like Supernanny and Malcom in the Middle but not whoseline? oh the indignation of it.
and now i'm pretty tempted to buy the entire season of Joey because jeff davis appears in one of the episodes hahahahaha. -grins- we shall see how much money i'll be left by the end of the hols

i think i'm going slightly hysterical. off to sleep. ta

sorry, i take back every single nice thing i said about stats.

oh please just let me pass my stats reasonably. i promise i will be hardworking next year onwards.

damn. it's times like these that makes me want to go to FASS or something, sub-standard english and all. if i had known that i'd still need to go through the Hell of Statistics..

ARGH!! sod you, multiple regression!!

man! I AM TIRED!

sorry, just woke up after a whole night of whoseline (what else, duh?) because who has the mood and energy to study after marketing?
no comments bout the paper. marketing is ambiguous and everybody had different answers, so what the heck. i had never crapped so much in my whole life.
damn i hope they wont laugh at my answers

just one more bloody stats left. :D

We'll be back soon to the wildlife movie, 'Bertha the Dyslexic Ephelant'
heh. i like this. smart.

i'm going to watch a couple of episodes of Friends now. must really kick my whoseline addiction :)
not that i'm not studying, but it's just that i usually study til about 1am, then i'd watch whoseline til about 3.
i know. a really unhealthy habit. but it's so GODDAMN FUNNY i just can't stop watching!! (wow. can you imagine after the exams? i reckon i would be up all night watching whoseline hahaha)

well anyway am feeling pretty hopeless about marketing. well this is one classic example whereby knowing your stuff in your textbook probably wont help at all.
looks like my crapping skills would be put to full use on thursday evening then.

Welcome to the 6 o'clock news. Our top story: Wives live longer than husbands because they're not married to women

heeheehee.
damnit just a few days more!!

well looks like ob just about sapped whatever energy and motivation i have for marketing and stats.
and my friend so did not help when he told me that all his marketing spec friends said that "all you need for the marketing paper are the 4Ps and PESTCN. can throw away the book la!" right. so which also basically means that each question would be like doing a whole marketing project again.
as for stats. ha-ha-ha. but i have to say, thank god it's not pure maths. stats still make more sense than say, bloody complex numbers and APGP.

whoseline segment! (no am not watching them. i'm getting this from a website of their quotes :D)

colin: "You know, in the 1970s when I was in high school, I belonged to a band called 'The Happy Funk Band'. Unfortunately, a typo caused us to be expelled from school"

man, this show makes me find Friends boring. :(
when you've seen improv, other comedy shows no longer impress you.

i'm not somebody who cracks easily under stress. whether doing projects, during exams, or juggling CCAs back in vj and dhs.

in fact, sometimes when i'm under extreme stress, i tend to outperform myself (like during o level mep and a levels econs)
(oh and i'll have to tell you about the time before the o levels mep paper where i tore up my music notes and threw it into the dustbin and declared to SIX people that i'd treat them all to marche, 50 bucks each, if i got A1 for mep. luckily nobody remembered to claim :P. and yes i really did tear up my notes. poor haydn.)

there's just one time in all my years of examinations, where i broke down completely and finally had the feeling of complete hopelessness. that was last year, just before the prelims. (now you know why i shudder at the thought of the a levels. i respect anybody who can go through that again)
which is why it was horrifying when i had that same feeling again yesterday night.
it was as if a wave of depression just swept over me, and after that, i felt like doing nothing but sitting there and cry.
WEIRD. no it aint pms.

and watching whose line didnt help either. it made me happy for that mere half an hour and after that the sinking feeling at the pit of my stomach just got worse.

the emotional outburst finally happened just before i got to sleep
and to make matters really worse, all that adrenaline caused me to feel wide awake
so i didn't get to sleep until 3.30am, and i had to wake up at 5.45, thanks very much.

combine the lack of sleep, plus the residual feelings of depression from yesterday, i thought i was going to puke outside the exam hall today.
NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. NOT A LEVELS, NOT EVEN PRELIMS! (yeah because during prelims i had pretty much accept the fate that i was going to screw up everything)

yeah so anyway after that long grandmother story, i still have no idea what happened to me, but i'm feeling much better thanks.
there wasnt time to do the ob paper completely, but who has? (if you have, you're weird and please go away)
and i'm rather used to writing half-arsed answers for econs essays anyway. HAHA.

right!
your whoseline segment of the day then :)

colin: "you know, one of my favourite singers was van gogh .............................. but he didn't sing alot did he? (realising his mistake)"
ryan: "no he didn't. isn't he deaf?"
colin: "yeah.. oh no you're mixing that up with beethoven"
ryan: "ahh......................................."
ryan: "loved that dog"

HAHAHA.

this feels like death-by-OB.

slow, painful, torturous mugging. trudging the mountainous amount of information. OH. MY. GOD!!

it never fails to impress me the way we all managed to survive a levels. i still the get the occasional shudders when i think of those times just a year ago.
oh in fact
a year ago today, it was econs paper 3, and straight after the paper, and i went home and told my mom that (half-jokingly only) i was not going to go for paper 1 and 2.
LUCKILY NEVER AH. if not still have to study econs now. :(

back to ob i must go now. oh god this is so suffocating.

and here's your whose line quote of the day:
"hi, we'll be back to the politically-correct production of 'The Good, The Bad and The Beauty-Impaired"

wahahahaha

eh why like that?

i just found out that somebody who got ABCC B3 for a levels and got into NUS biz.

and they rejected me. where's the logic??

never mind. since nbs is like, i don't know, 3rd in Asia or something, i can only conclude that NUS biz is weird.

oh and their exams end like 1 month later anyway (okok. EXAGGERATING)

huh. weird.

but hey, they did make my life easier.
NTU biz, NUS biz?? damn!!

GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GORGEOUS!!!
who says i like small eyes eh, mollie?? I LIKE SMALL EYES ONLY IF THEY ARE ON JONATHAN LEONG! :)

i love chiselled features. -swoons-

anyway i printed-screen (?) this picture from the video on youtube (yes, printing-screen is an action you use alot alot in marketing presetation powerpoints)
because i AM FED UP WITH STUDYING OB.

never mind. soon this will ALL be over, and i can indulge in lots of jeff davis in whose line is it anyway. -beams-
yes yes and look forward to shopping with seah and co. at vivocity on 5th dec :)

am in a GOOD MOOD! because there's no more school = no more travelling. yes so there's exams coming up next week, but at least now i can (try to) concentrate fully on mugging at home.

you know, i've realised that i'm running out of things to talk about.
unlike last year, where i could complain about anything, anybody under the sun, and was constantly in a FOUL mood
i'm now usually in fairly pleasant moods.
sure i get pissed off by some stupid people sometimes, but these are just emotions, and you know what OB says about emotions and moods.
emotions are brief affairs while moods are not :)

I GOT STUDY ONE HOR!

and if we want to be really superficial, i have no eye candies either.
i'm sure nbs has a lot of good looking guys. i just don't happen to see any of them around. (oh perhaps for the exception of the guy christened Korean Actor by jiayin and jiayi, who's pretty- boy-ish, but unfortunately terribly short)
and anyway, all the eligible guys have already been spoken for. if they're good looking in addition to that, they are definitely ATTACHED.

oh and by one way or another i recently found out that the familiar-looking guy i've been seeing around nbs was actually my eye candy back in sec1 and 2.
he is no longer as cute, though. dunman guys usually look better when they are in secondary school. :(
(no mollie, don't comment. haahaahaa)

-yawn- so boring. i am bored. am i making you bored too?

alright let's talk about something which i've previously discussed (in indignation) to numerous people.
why does it seem so easy for guys to get the girls?
i bet you have seen so many not-so-good-looking guys with their much prettier counterparts on the roads, in school, wherever.
you know why's that.
BECAUSE WE GIRLS ARE NOT SUPERFICIAL LIKE GUYS! -ROAR-
like jiayin has said so aptly, the guy just needs to be of average looks, relatively tall, not so skinny, tanned, funny and NICE, 他就赢了。sure got girls like one. especially if he's nice and funny.
not fair right.

(i was going to continue on with the flipside about girls not having it so easy if they want to get a goodlooking boyfriend ie. must be slim, pretty, demure blah blah blah. when i realised that i'm just stereotyping and there are actually quite a few people who don't quite fit this mold)

well anyway just let me conclude by saying that guys have it much easier off.

aye. i'm sleepy and grumpy.

anyway, one more marketing group photo for last times' sake :(

damnit i just downed the remaining portion of the barley water i left in my room yesterday without realising that it tastes mildy acidic. now i'm trying to flush it out of my system by gulping more water. -_______________-

my OB tutor is mightily nice.
he booked a function room at the ntu staff club, and catered lunch for the whole class. :)
jiayi (that scheming girl! haha) reckons it's because he has a research paper to do and he's testing out on us the effects of motivation. -_________-.
hey, but free lunch! i don't care!

anyway, pictures from our kbox outing last week. (we were supposed to meet for report finalisation, in the end we spent 4hours at kbox and half an hour doing the report. hee hee)

the crazy ajcians. buay paiseh one leh. hahaha

like i said, crazy ajc people :P

dunmanians!the siao peisee heh heh.

disclaimer: rex is just being the joker that he is. he is a total sweetheart to his girlfriend ok!

ob group! we play more than we work hahahaha.

ob class with our very adorable tutor :)

it's a nice thursday morning and i'm at home.
yes i'm supposed to have marketing tutorial at 830, but due to the intelligence of my group mates ie. no need to present any project or case study+ no need to present tutorial qn+the two groups presenting today have over 200 slides each= SLEEP IS MORE IMPORTANT, (among other factors such as low nAff and high nAch for the econs quiz later on. -______-. )

i'm at home right now, trying to find motivation to start studying :)

i heard some stuff

now let me ask you, has a project just completely lost its purpose when you can find your tutor prior to your presentation, check with her whether you are doing it correctly, and subsequently after she actually tells you where have gone wrong, you go back to correct it, and then because of your 'own' flawless end result, you get an A/A+?

like. then what's the bloody point of assessing in the first place??

never mind.

anyway. after a series of completely unexpected turns, we, against all odds, came out tops. :)

right. back to planning my time table.
