How about a round of applause
A standing ovation

You look so dumb right now
Trying to apologize

This just looks like the re-run
Please, what else is on

And the award for best liar goes to you
Let's hear your speech out
How about a round of applause
A standing ovation

Don't tell me you're sorry cuz you're not
When I know you're only sorry you got caught
But you put on quite a show
You really had me going
But now it's time to go
Curtain's finally closing
That was quite a show
Very entertaining
But it's over now
Go on and take a bow

rihanna rocks!

so i had the best week last week: i had only one day of school, i now suddenly have 5 new dresses, i met up with lots of people and had a whale of a time, and yeah, my luck was good. HAHA. -snickers-

last sunday we valiantly took on the task of teaching xin mei to ride a bike. NOT BAD LAH really! lovely dinner at ECP and then mahjong at zhi's house!

on friday it was ktv with my cesim group mates. man, this bunch of people are CRAZY. we didn't do so much singing as yelling along to songs from singers from eons ago like westlife, vengaboys, aqua blah blah. hahaha. SUPER FUNNY. check fb to see one really buay paiseh person belting out songs like his life depended on it.

and then on the same night, a last minute decision to go to zouk. i cannot believe i've not been to zouk for more than a YEAR. i blame the queues. everytime we head over there we ended up elsewhere because the queues were just too freaking long. cover charge at zouk was horrible as usual, but well, once in a blue moon.

and i have to say it was one of the best outings! the music was good, my shoes didnt hurt and there weren't that many people in phuture, thank god.

bel's really funny when she's drunk. actually all drunk people are funny hor, seah? HAHA.

i am so jealous of this pic hence it turned out all blurry. hahaha. he is HOT! (okay in case it's really that blurred, that is the ntu winner for hey gorgeous 08.)

saturday the MSes (minus jiayin. JIAYIN WE REALLY MISS YOU!! :() celebrated the jan babies birthdays with dinner at astons and cake cutting at some little HK cafe.

one slice for ah yin!

jiayin when i got time i will photoshop you in. hahaha.

we walked over to esplanade hoping that the cny decorations were up, but unfortunately they weren't. (seriously, one more week to cny and they're still not up??)

the decorations look like they're flaming! (and yes i have the same dress as bel. we actually turned up in the same dress in zouk 'cos seah brought the dress for me that day from bkk. luckily she also brought along another so i changed into that. haha)

running away from the flames!

boring view. fullerton's the saving grace

haha!

see y'all next week for our reunion dinner! :D

i was going to go meet 周公but i started reading my old blog entries (yeah i do that sometimes. to laugh at myself and all) and so well, here i am. i was going to talk about how amused i was with the terrible clothes i wore a couple of years back, but just one point before i forget

i was on the train today when i saw a couple of tourists reading the zoo brochure, and i thought to myself, you poor bastards. if you actually thought the zoo was any place worth going, you're in for a good laugh. and then i realised subsequently that, there basically wasn't any place in singapore that was worth visiting that wasn't a tourist trap. the zoo is boring, the night safari is a ripoff, the birdpark is still passable but THEY ARE BUT BIRDS, sentosa is fine if you liked the beach and the sun but the sand is dirty and the ocean water is muddy and you would be better off going to phuket or bali or whatnot, chinatown is now a tiongwhoretown blah blah you get the drift. oh yeah, and mount faber is a joke. southern ridges my ass. some very bored people obviously thought that they could jazz up Boring Muddy Trails and Roads. whoohoo, i am so going to be employed by stb.

anyway back to what i was saying.

i had a conversation today with zhi and xin mei and we were talking about when our dressing started to improve, and we concluded that it started when online shopping became the hottest thing in 2007, and then i realised, hell yeah, before online shopping, I HAD HORRIBLE CLOTHES. looking back at some of the old entries, i can hardly believe i wore those terrible things to school. WTF WAS I THINKING.

ok at the risk of sounding like a superficial bitch, i would just like to say that i am thankful that i am in business school and in particular, marketing, because seriously, if not for all the pressure, i would probably not have seen the need to dress properly to school (and to all those nbs people who continue to wear the bloody orientation shirt like some badge of honour: THAT IS A DISGRACE. THAT SHIRT IS TO BE WORN AT HOME OR IN HALL. NOT IN NBS) so yes thanks nbs, you may suck sometimes with your unhelpfulness in securing jobs for us, but you have trained us well. at least we dress well and we (or most of us) present ourselves well.

and back to why Yesterday Was A Good Day Despite The Eye Infection (which has now transformed into the form of a Swollen Eye)

hahah seah! you really think i wasn't going to blog about the first bit of exercise i had in years? hahah. I AM GOING TO COMPLAIN!

nah, i jest. it was actually a pretty pleasant trekking trip. yeah, you saw that right. i went trekking. in my wedges. i was coerced into it. haha

the path up the hill where i was complaining the entire time. it was hot and i was terribly out of shape.
finally reached the top. there was a breeze and it was starting to feel less like torture haha.the foggy road. straight out of a horror movie i tell ya, with the still in the winds and the lone sound of the crickets chirping.

alright turns out the fog was due to some fogging going on in the area. haha!

a pretty colonial house.

the destination! like finally

wheeee!

okay so i did something that i usually would not do: got myself sweaty and tired. but well, a little bit of exercise never killed anyone, so why not. the view was pretty at times too. but am NOT going to climb mt faber any more! mt faber is just another good example of how there is seriously nothing to do in singapore and yet people still try to make it sound like it's a place with so much to do and see. i cannot believe mt faber is counted as an attraction.
