and anyway, you're somebody else's favourite boy liao........ HAHAHAHA. -am amused with own wit-

WELL!
this shall be another half-arsed entry because i'm totally exhausted.
it's going to be another long, long week ahead. sigh.

it has been a long and exhausting week.

now i cannot decide which tutorial i dislike more, OB or marketing.
(nothing to do with the subject, if you catch my drift. -snarls-. i swear the projects are going to kill sooner or later)

oh actually stats tutorial is not to be spared. the tutor is the equivalent of my ex-econs tutor, except that he's about a hundred times worse because you can't even understand what he's saying. tutorial time hence = time to do your tutorial.

AHHHHHHHHH I AM SO TIRED. hence this half-arsed entry.

just now, as i was chatting with a vj senior on my way home (he, another guy and i are the only vj people in my tutorial)
i was suddenly hit with an acute sense of longing for vj!!

hey. you can stop with that shocked/flabbergasted look already.

maybe it's just for the people who don't stay in hall. because the number of hours i spend in school are way, way too short for me to start having a sense of belonging.
(having said that, i'd just like to say that i loooove the NTU school compunds, despite it being a kampong. BECAUSE IT IS NOT CLAUSTROPHOBIC and has many lovely wide open spaces and green trees. heh)

and my dear juniors. start appreciating the fact that you actually have a class and people you might not click with at first, but eventually will after 2 years because you have no bloody choice 'cos you're stuck in the same class HAHA.
ahem.
when you're thrown into a project group full of strangers on the first day of lessons and expected to work together, you'd know how much you miss having a proper class. multiply that by about 3 times and you'd also find out how tiring it is to make small talk with people YOU JUST CANNOT CLICK WITH!
(weird leh. i'm reading many people's blog and they all talk about not being able to click with their tutorial mates. then who is actually clicking with whom? or all of us dunmanians can only click with each other? :()

ok lah. i concede that i actually quite like my stats tutorial group people. wish i had them for all tutorials. but as you know, given my luck, i get hypocritical bitches instead. :(

i suspect this lousy mood has got to do with the fact that we have to do a 20min powerpoint presentation in full business suits for a business case this saturday for the CASE competition.
in the 24hours time limit.
meaning we most probably had to stay overnight in school.
oh god. maybe we're just too pro for our own good. HAHA.
of course, that's not really true, since they chose 32 teams out of 42.

i shall just end abruptly because i want to sleep.

i have a serious need to bitch.

i'm itching to bitch but there's NOBODY!
(stupid poh just looked at me pityingly. ARSE! :()

much to my own surprise, i actually bothered to turn up for S22's outing
it was fun, and it felt as though we never left vj. ahhhhhh. now i miss vj, can you believe it!

OH MAN I CANNOT POST PHOTOS!
THIS IS SO CONTRIBUTING TO MY ALREADY BAD MOOD!

ok i think blogger doesn't allow me to post photos on sunday night.

anyway the class had lunch at Fish n Co. (it is our tradition, come to think of it. we went there to bid farewell to ah mol and jenyuh, the 2nd time for JTS and the third time yesterday :))

after this photo my camera battery was depleted.

yeah i know. very smart of me.

anyway i've officially dropped econs. fantastic deal. i now have the slackest timetable and i'd still be getting the AUs for econs. love it!

but of course, now i have to mug hard for the other three modules and get As for all of them. totally possible for stats yes? -deadpans-

ok i just got the other photos from jam. THANK YOU! :)

the three of us. SIANGHAN IS VERY SKINNY NOW! maybe i should go NS too. :(

rach: "huh? huh? what? where?"

vic : "EH. WHAT YOU DOING AH?" (haha)

ah. so pretty!

ok at this point of time blogger conked up yet again. BLARH. OK I WILL GO DO MY TUTORIALS!

eug and rai!

(rai tells me that people in mass comm actually fought over issues like democracy. LUCKILY they rejected me heh heh)

nice display. i'm never one for non-people shots, but what the heck. it looks nice. (and there is a person haha)

the dudes.

aw. aren't we all pretty?

right. back to books it is.

ditto for econs.
i could still remember the period before the A levels where i LOUDLY PROCLAIMED THAT I HATED KEYNES AND WHAT'S-HIS-NAME (ok. i just remembered. it's friedman. whatever dumb theory he came up with).
but i was comforting myself with the thought that i would NEVER EVER AND EVER need to see or touch econs again.

yet now, it's econs all over again.
i don't need to take it, yet i am. just to fulfil my AUs. HOW VERY ANNOYING!!

(digression: HAHA! i just did an econs quiz. out of 6 questions i got 5 correct! without studying! HA! this is the A levels all over again! -grins-)

anyway my topic for discussion today is this:

CAN GUYS AND GIRLS EVER BE PURELY PLATONIC FRIENDS?

actually, there's neither room nor time for discussion because the answer to the question above is just two words

NO WAY.
of course, we're assuming that both the guy and the girl are unattached, and have a certain degree of appeal to each other.
hm. wait. scratch that.
as long as one of the two appeals to the other, there would be no platonic friendship.
so long as one of the two starts to have feelings for the other, there would be no platonic friendship.
the guy/girl can keep his/her feelings to himself/herself forever, but the basis of a platonic friendship has already been shattered.
so..

hee. sorry. disagree all you like. nobody has proven me wrong yet.
if you can, do enlighten me :)

(oops. i just realised that i've forgotten to add in an extremely important point. ASSUMING as well that the guy and girl are EXTREMELY GOOD FRIENDS. you know, the kind who go out every week, talk on the phone all the time etc etc.)

YES. nobody has proven me wrong yet. INCLUDING YOU. (you know who you are heh heh. ahem. my com photo is still with you. please return asap :))

am looking forward to going to NUS tomorrow.
to be more specific, the science faculty. (to meet good ol' seah for movie. WE SHALL SEE WHETHER THE GHOST GAME IS REALLY WORTH THE 1/5 STARS 8 DAYS GAVE IT! (i bet it will la -___-)
because seah told me that the science fac has many decent-looking guys!
and she has to tell me happily that "they're all your type!"
:(
(ok i know the changing of font sizes is getting annoying. i'd stop in abit)
thank you lah.
why is it that i see so many poseurs in my school??
which reminds me of what jiayi said today.

you can really tell the difference between the biz school people and engineering school people.

no offence of course. it's not exactly a compliment to biz school people.

it's just that the biz people tend to dress like they're going orchard while the engineering people look like they'd just stepped out of their hostel rooms. i'm just saying generally!
i agreed.
just try taking 179 from the interchange. the biz school people usually drop off at one of the last few stops as the bus loops around the school. it's quite evident when the better dressed people are the ones left towards the end of the bus ride.

BUT SO WHAT?

it's getting very, very tiring to have to think of what to wear to school every day.
you don't dress up to the standards of your counterparts, you'd feel and look damn out of place, and that sucks. (plus, some hypocritical bitches would dismiss you after giving you a once-over -rolls eyes-)
why can't everyone just wear t-shirts and shorts to lessons??
(actually, some of the girls do already. just that their shorts costs about 70 bucks and they look like they're going clubbing instead)

having said that, i think i'd need to buy more tops :(
what to do. business school what.

oh poor poor joakim. the poor chap really cannot sing :(

i just got another bunch of vouchers from esprit.
"congrats you're one of esprit's top customers!"

i guess that says a lot about how much i've already spent there.

just when you thought you never ever need to touch the most disgusting subject you've ever learned (ie. maths)...

you have to take Statistics. and it's not all nice and easy (-cough-) like that in JC.

WA LAU I HATE MATHS LAH!

well, well.
have you ever had that kind of experience where you meet this new person, and when you find out what she plans to specialise in (most coincidentally, the same as you), you think to yourself
'oh god. i'm not going to specialise in that anymore'
all within a mere 5 minutes!

today i've had an encounter with what you can only call

a Class A hypocritical bitch.

very very scary.
two years in a school, where many people have said to have many hypocrites, and i have yet to seen people with the likes of her.

wah. just thinking about it makes me shudder.
evidently, i'm not having much luck since the start of school.

never mind. back to the weekend.

yeah. after making fools of ourselves, we eventually decided that perhaps we should just take photos two at a time.

i'd miss all of them! :(

luckily lyd and seah are just about5 train stops away.

on sunday, mol and i went to holland v in search of good food. yes we are nuts.
anyway it was back to cafe rosso. we decided to give it another chance, and well, it didn't disappoint :)

tuscan breakfast. a gastronomical experience. very very expensive too :(

yummylicious pancakes. kick-ass thick!

mol mulls over the finer things in life eg. 20bucks worth of breakfast, over a glass of cranberry juice. (eh mol, if you think this photo is very ugly and you want it taken down, tell me ah!)

i really shouldn't go to bookstores anymore. especially not now when money is coming out, but not going into my ATM. i have no control when it comes to spending, oh sorry, make that splurging on chic-lits and new stationery!!! ARGH.

and people shouldnt go out too often with mol. they'd all grow fat. (ahem. try chippy's british takeaway. tooooooo sinful!)

anyway that concluded a great weekend. now it's back to school and more of the hypocritical bullshit.

the weekend was just the way i like it.

good friends, good food, good fun :)

saturday was with the usual people, seah, lyd and the vs juniors.
due to budget/time constraints and conflicting schedules, we've all but run out of things to do.
no movies, no kbox, no shopping.
and to make things worse, we had nobody's house to go to. :(
so, we just had to make do with this.

at a void deck. aw. aren't we all pathetically cute? HAHA

william the siao ginah.

the game last merely an hour plus. luckily we had a saviour in the form of seah's house!

after they got bored of mahjong, the guys entertained themselves reading people's blogs. and laughing gleefully at them, may i add. -rolls eyes-.

then they turned to this. what's that??

uh-oh

oh dear.

ee. the sickos. look at them grinning happily while cute fluffly little animals are periodically having their guts spilled all over the screen. :(

we had dinner at TM afterwards. but i was left with the two guys because lyd had a concert, and seah didn't want us tagging along with her while she went with her xyz people. -sniffs-

we took this photo after about 3000 attempts. we then realised we're making fools of ourselves.

at this point in time, blogger conked up and refused to let me upload anymore photos :(

i think it's trying to tell me to go to sleep.

they ALL tell me to count my blessings

me: "wa lau. i hate all these uni stuff lar! what's with all the AU rubbish man? why must take this elective, that elective?? why must choose our own timeslots?? WHY NO BLOODY VACANCIES LEFT?? WHY I GOT ONLY 4 MODULES AND NO ELECTIVES?? LATER CANNOT GRADUATE HOW?? WHY CANT THEY PLAN IT FOR US???!!!!!"

william, or liren, or jeremy, or hoifai, or just about any other guy in the world: "don't complain lah. you come and serve NS for me, i go study for you, you want or not!"

ya hor :(
i concede defeat.

i have no idea why i'm so sleepy.
i slept at 2am, woke up at 10. very very lethargic.
i went back to nap from 1 to 4.
no use leh. still very sleepy.

well anyway.

suddenly lost the urge to type. the thought of having to go to school tomorrow made me really SIAN DIAO!!

oh. did you know that a typical Mercedes (those B, C-Class or whatever) costs about 150k, while a Lamborghini costs an out-of-this-world EIGHT HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS??!
sorry hor. that's for a lower end Lamborghini (as if there's such a thing!). a top-of-the-range Lamborghini costs 1.1 MILLION!!

me: "wah liren. that car costs more than your new house leh!"
liren: "..."

ya lor. that guy was bragging about moving into a kickass 3-storey house all throughout kbox.
but me and poh forgive him because he's going to build a karaoke lounge and save us all the money from having to go kbox in the future. HAHA! :D

and yeah. Lamborghinis are the most expensive cars (according to the car magazine the guys were reading during dinner)
even the Porsches, Bentleys, Aston Martins, Ferraris and what-have-yous are all no match for it.

i am back, and in a rare chatty mood.
you can go thank, er, myself actually for forgetting to switch on the heater
so it was a freezing cold shower at 1.30am. :)

i forgot to mention that i finally got to meet up with two of my oldest pals, jia and ah fai. :D
ah fai and i go waaaaaay back to primary 4.
unbelievably, 9 years have just passed like that.
anyway we had dinner and watched Click, starring the very adorable Adam Sandler. I LOVE ANGER MANAGEMENT AND THE WEDDING SINGER! WOHOO!!

ahem. ah fai, thank god, did not ask his usual question of
"sooooooo. how's Z**?"
"dead." i would usually reply, flatly. he would then procced to laugh happily, at my lack of creativity in answering, perhaps.

thank god no. instead jia told us a rather distressing story about evil people with no manners at all.
in summary, she baked a cake for her good friend for his birthday, and he threw it back at her (not literally, of course) saying that he didn't like it, so he would not accept it.
i didn't quite know what to say after that. JEEZ!

oh i'm suddenly sleepy again. be back :)

i never really quite understood the fascination with fireworks.
they are but colourful bright lights with loud noises!!

that said, it didnt mean last night wasn't fun.
it's always funny to see grown-ups ooh and aah over fireworks.

okay lah. it was really quite nice :)

today i went kbox-ing with the usual two guys.
it was a rather last minute decision, really. sparked off by what you can call an irritation, and the need to prove that i'm way better than that.
it was a "I MUST GO SING OR I'LL PISS MYSELF OFF REALLY BADLY"

ya lor, i got very chim reasons to go kbox one.

poh: "eh wang li hong's songs already very difficult to sing. DON'T DISTRACT ME!!" (i made that up lah)

we had dinner at nydc.
only when you've stopped working, started studying and getting pocket money again, do you really feel the pinch of paying 16bucks for a dinner. :(

liren's abit like me really. we both exasperate poh with our stupidity. :)

and here, i have to thank poh.
he's seriously one of the best listeners around.
we were just talking about nothing in particular, then i told him several things that were bugging me since the start of school, and somehow it lead to another well-discussed topic -___-

the horrified and disgusted look on poh's face was hilarious, really. hahahahha.
now, now poh. don't go around bashing certain people up even when they deserve it ya? :)

well, it has come to a point in time where i say this
it's all or nothing. there will be no grey area.
and we'll never be friends.

it's the first day of school and my head is pounding away :(
an undernourished day.

wellll.. i don't quite know what to make out of my tutorial mates.
they are.. nice. they are friendly, they are funny.
but they are not people that i can click with completely. (which is so bloody rare, i admit)

well. then again, nothing i'm not used to. the past two years in vj were not a complete waste ;)

ah, never mind. i have no school on wednesday and thursday, and friday only starts at 2.30.

i saw him that day; it was a little heart-wrenching.
he represented a multitude of mistakes, of wasted time and effort.
