ditto for econs.
i could still remember the period before the A levels where i LOUDLY PROCLAIMED THAT I HATED KEYNES AND WHAT'S-HIS-NAME (ok. i just remembered. it's friedman. whatever dumb theory he came up with).
but i was comforting myself with the thought that i would NEVER EVER AND EVER need to see or touch econs again.

yet now, it's econs all over again.
i don't need to take it, yet i am. just to fulfil my AUs. HOW VERY ANNOYING!!

(digression: HAHA! i just did an econs quiz. out of 6 questions i got 5 correct! without studying! HA! this is the A levels all over again! -grins-)

anyway my topic for discussion today is this:

CAN GUYS AND GIRLS EVER BE PURELY PLATONIC FRIENDS?

actually, there's neither room nor time for discussion because the answer to the question above is just two words

NO WAY.
of course, we're assuming that both the guy and the girl are unattached, and have a certain degree of appeal to each other.
hm. wait. scratch that.
as long as one of the two appeals to the other, there would be no platonic friendship.
so long as one of the two starts to have feelings for the other, there would be no platonic friendship.
the guy/girl can keep his/her feelings to himself/herself forever, but the basis of a platonic friendship has already been shattered.
so..

hee. sorry. disagree all you like. nobody has proven me wrong yet.
if you can, do enlighten me :)

(oops. i just realised that i've forgotten to add in an extremely important point. ASSUMING as well that the guy and girl are EXTREMELY GOOD FRIENDS. you know, the kind who go out every week, talk on the phone all the time etc etc.)

YES. nobody has proven me wrong yet. INCLUDING YOU. (you know who you are heh heh. ahem. my com photo is still with you. please return asap :))

am looking forward to going to NUS tomorrow.
to be more specific, the science faculty. (to meet good ol' seah for movie. WE SHALL SEE WHETHER THE GHOST GAME IS REALLY WORTH THE 1/5 STARS 8 DAYS GAVE IT! (i bet it will la -___-)
because seah told me that the science fac has many decent-looking guys!
and she has to tell me happily that "they're all your type!"
:(
(ok i know the changing of font sizes is getting annoying. i'd stop in abit)
thank you lah.
why is it that i see so many poseurs in my school??
which reminds me of what jiayi said today.

you can really tell the difference between the biz school people and engineering school people.

no offence of course. it's not exactly a compliment to biz school people.

it's just that the biz people tend to dress like they're going orchard while the engineering people look like they'd just stepped out of their hostel rooms. i'm just saying generally!
i agreed.
just try taking 179 from the interchange. the biz school people usually drop off at one of the last few stops as the bus loops around the school. it's quite evident when the better dressed people are the ones left towards the end of the bus ride.

BUT SO WHAT?

it's getting very, very tiring to have to think of what to wear to school every day.
you don't dress up to the standards of your counterparts, you'd feel and look damn out of place, and that sucks. (plus, some hypocritical bitches would dismiss you after giving you a once-over -rolls eyes-)
why can't everyone just wear t-shirts and shorts to lessons??
(actually, some of the girls do already. just that their shorts costs about 70 bucks and they look like they're going clubbing instead)

having said that, i think i'd need to buy more tops :(
what to do. business school what.

oh poor poor joakim. the poor chap really cannot sing :(

i just got another bunch of vouchers from esprit.
"congrats you're one of esprit's top customers!"

i guess that says a lot about how much i've already spent there.
