i don't know why but i suddenly felt like typing something.

i saw the trailer for The Day After Tomorrow to be shown next sunday, and boy am i looking forward to that! never mind the fact that i've already watched the movie about 5 times. i'm still loving it!
mentioned to seah before, i don't know why but i have a penchant for blockbuster movies where lots of things get destroyed, whether by aliens or natural disasters (that's why i love Independence Day, War of the Worlds etc. will watch it again and again)
yeah. perhaps it's a sadistic streak heh heh. but i just LOVE the effects, especially when you're sitting in the cinema, looking up in awe as the tornado/humongous waves/aliens with laser guns destroys new york city (it's always new york, isn't it?)

and of course it was this love for disaster flicks that caused me to force seah to go watch the Sinking of Japan with me, resulting in a waste of 2h, 15 dollars and two very displeased souls. man, the effects sucked to the absolute core!!
you know your movie is in trouble when people actually commented on how lousy the plot was in the midst of all those special effects. DISASTER MOVIES NEED NO PLOTS! YOU'RE JUST SUPPOSED TO ENJOY THE EFFECTS AND NOT THE STORY!
and unfortunately, there was absolutely no effects to speak of.
once you've caught The Day After Tomorrow, nothing else can match up to it.

well anyway. today was a baaaad com outing because yours truly organised it. man, NO MORE ORGANISING! :(
and it just went downhill after the lunch because we rented a total disaster of a movie: meet the fockers.
now, i don't have issues watching movies that i've watched before. but it was ONE HORRIBLE SHOW. it was bad enough when i watched it a year ago, it was worse when i watched it again today.
it's probably the worst movie i watched in 2005. gawd it's just so unfunny!
eh. i fell asleep ok.
and so this adds to my list of Movies You Should Never Watch: meet the fockers, you me and dupree, the nun, pulse, sinking of japan, any other horror movies that did not scare me (quite a feat, considering)
so after that depressing show, i was just sulking internally because i couldn't believe the outing and the movie were so disastrous. DAMN! luckily mj hz and i had a good dinner so all was forgotten by then :)

ah. and school's starting. i do have one extra day of holiday, but i'm just so not in the right state of mind for school.
and not it's not helping that the modules this sem are so... accounting-ish. bah. biz law better be something that i can crap at.

ok lah. too tired. will continue tomorrow.
