the 6.30-horror-story continues.
just like the day before, i had a terrible night of sleep, but this time round even worse because my arms and legs were screaming in pain, and the rock-hard bed did not help. and apparently yx was woken up by the door handle rattling as well, but her, being the rationale one concluded that it must either be from some other room or perhaps the housecleaning people.
well whatever it is, i didn't want to be freaked out again so i put my iPod next to me on standby but hoped to god that i wouldnt wake up at 630 again.
but of course i did -.- but i immediately plugged in my iPod and tried to go back to sleep. and sure enough around 645 the door handle rattling started again but the sounds were drowned out by the music so i was quite so creeped out. BUT this time round, even the Rationale One found the sounds a little too close for comfort.
OKAY LAR. to cut a long story short, huizhi heard the sounds from HER room as well, which was about 3 doors away, and even she thought it sounded like it was HER door. so she concluded that the sounds came from another person checking their door handle and the walls were too damn thin. (which was true, we found out the embarrassing way. heh)
YAR so anyway nothing happened. stupid hotel and its stupid thin walls -.- (as you can tell at this point of time i'm bored of the story already and just want to move on to talking about what happened in the day)
BREAKFAST
we realised that the full set of HK-style breakfast was way too much for us so we settled for this Bo-Luo Bao thingy and a cup of hot drink instead. don't be fooled by jiayin's happy smile, we're actually all horribly tired.
(if you squint hard enough i think you can see huizhi's half-asleep look in the background. ahhaha)
plan for the day was to head over to Macau to settle our souveniers (in the form of their locally produced pastries) and take a look at their famed casinos.
so we took the MTR over to the ferry terminal, bought our tickets (which is bloody expensive. a return trip ticket costs S$60!!) and boarded the ferry.

i never had a sea-sickness problem, but the damn sea was so damn choppy that the ferry was rocking like mad and very soon even i was beginning to feel nauseous. thankfully, i had a supply of sour candies and i was completely exhausted so i concussed pretty soon into the 1.5h trip.
yeah i had no idea Macau was so far away from HK!
i reached there in a much better mood after the good nap only to be greeted by this sight:
the horrendously long queues at the immigration counters.
and seriously, it's not that i want to stereotype or what, but those damn PRC villagers are really the most inconsiderate and rudest people around. if you guys ever meet these people there, no need to hesitate to shove them when they push against you in an attempt to cut your queue, BECAUSE THEY WILL CUT YOUR QUEUE. in that ONE WHOLE BLOODY HOUR SPENT QUEUING UP, i saw like 6 of these people cut the queue of two caucasians, who, bless them, merely looked amused and didnt retaliate)
anyway.
ferry terminal.
we took the bus to the central area to visit all the touristy spots.
church. (i don't know the name haha)

inside the church. pretty!

sao paulo cathedral.

jiayin and zhi wanted to do the "jumping shot" but because i was such an auntie i decided to give it a miss and sit down and rest instead.

we then went to buy our pastries. and i tell you the combined weight of everything we bought was NO JOKE.we wanted to visit the Venetian, unfortunately due to time constraints (stupid immigration counters -.-) we could only visit the casinos near the ferry terminal.
we took a cab back to the ferry terminal. and no surprise, the uncle drove like there were no traffic rules.
damn scary ok when the roads are as steep and narrow as this. at one point of time, he actually cut across a walking path to get over to the other road!
the Tang Dynasty casino (i presumed). really nice!

Aladdin's Cove/Cave or something. they have really nice casinos here!
i concussed on the way back to HK too.
dinner that night was mighty fine. we had roast goose and some other expensive-looking dishes and the whole lot came to only S$15 per person. sigh. i love HK, but i reckon i'd become fat over there. hahah.
another night spent at the Ladies Market and i was basically left with about S$60 for the last day :( not that i bought a whole lot of things, but because their stuff were expensive! even with all the massive price slashing.
to be continued.
