im so pissed off with the screwed up school admin system that i don't even know where to begin.

well what do you know! apparently it doesn't matter whether you're some effed up loser who doesn't come for lessons and with a gpa of 3.0, because the effed up school system will allocate you some glitzy big company for your PA. shucks if you worked your ass off to be in the 2nd upper range or -gasp- god forbid, you're a double spec in the dean's list! off to phase 3 you go.

ok. so i got starhub in the end. i thank god this option came out at the very last minute. because prior to that i was actually considering companies like insurance companies (GAG), real estate companies (DOUBLE GAG), tiny event management companies (SIGH) and even companies that have no good points except for the fact that they're right across my house. literally.

i still stand by my point about how incredibly disgusting this computer allocation system is.
in fact, i'm starting to wonder if they have a thing against people who are in double spec, because i have found about 5 double spec people who are going to have to let their talents and brains go to waste. mind you, these people are not just smart alright. they have lives and good CCAs. so can someone please explain the logic behind
WHY THE STUPID CHAO AH BENG FROM MY BM 212 CLASS, WHOM I CANT REMEMBER HIS FACE NOW, (BUT ONLY HIS NAME) BECAUSE HE CAME FOR ABOUT 3 LESSONS THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SEMESTER, GET TO GO TO A COMPANY LIKE SIA, WHILE THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT ONLY IN DOUBLE SPEC, BUT ALSO DEAN'S LIST (OMG DEANS LIST OK) AND ARE ACTIVE IN CCAS HAVE TO RESORT TO PICKING TINY COMPANIES WHICH NOBODY HAS HEARD OF BECAUSE HE HAS NO OTHER CHOICE (BECAUSE IDIOTS WHO DONT EVEN DESERVE IT ARE HAPPILY GLOATING AT SIA AND CAAS AND THE LIKE.)

yes. random. SO? are you telling me SIA would rather have this ah beng, who's probably not even going to be showing up, over a smart person with good character and cca records?
how can this PA not be based on merit, i don't understand. because i find it extremely ironic and insulting how people who have far worse results than us, can get companies that are far superior.
unfortunately, the argument that "in a small company you get to learn more things" does not seem to apply to the marketing specialisation. the job scope seems to be inversely proportional to the size of the company, so the smaller and more unknown you go, your job scope ranges from crap to crap.

when i was looking through the list of phase 3 companies, i wanted to CRY.
i had to consider companies which i had immediately struck off during phase 2.
HELL, i had to consider companies which people don't even want in the first place. basically, we were picking at the leftovers of other people. other undeserving people. oh god the PAIN.

sure, you use the computer to allocate because you want the allocation to be fair.
so, i'd like to know why up to this current point of time, i HAVE NOT FOUND A SINGLE PERSON WHO WAS THROWN TO PHASE 3, WHOSE GPA IS LOWER THAN 4.0.
now, explain the fairness of the system.

my friend, another victim himself (double spec lah. like wth) put it so aptly when he said "i study so hard for what? i take double spec for what? i join so many CCAs for what? in the end, the chao ah beng gets SIA, i get nothing"
