i don't believe in doing things when i don't see the point.
similarly, i don't believe in doing things when i don't see a future to it.
if experience has taught me anything, it is that when you are about to cross the line where it's freefall all the way for a guy, you had better make sure there's either a future to it, if not, there had better be a damn good reason for doing so.
because at least for me, i know i'm not somebody who can let go easily. (jeez. what an understatement.) i will never want to make the mistake of losing your heart (and subsequently head) over a guy who will not be able to give you the committment you need, or even in the least, reciprocate your feelings, AGAIN.
yes, i can see the obvious irony here.
but darlings, i'm moving on. i know nobody believes me, but i love proving people wrong. and i also hate proving people right, especially when it comes to things like these. so rest assured i'll be doing every single thing to make sure that i'll be moving on.

anyway i digress.
do whatever floats your boat now, worry about the consequences later? yes i go by this mantra sometimes, but when it comes to matters of the heart, i firmly believe that this is one thing that will, and mark my words, WILL cause infinite heart pain later on when things don't work out. because as you continue to do these things, even with a mind set to NOT allow yourself to fall further in, you are falling deeper. who has a mind that is so strong? we are but humans. we are vulnerable. most importantly, WE ARE GIRLS. by some sick law of nature, it is dictated that we are more susceptible to heartache, to being stuck in a rut, to not being able to move on.

the mind is often rational. however, it's often overpowered by the irrationality of the heart.
the mind chooses to believe what the heart desires to believe.
perhaps it's a form of self-protection. or self-denial.
at this point of time, advice from 3rd parties can only do so much. because when differing opinions present, the mind will pick the one that the heart wants.
for me. self-protection will always come first. because nothing is worse than the feeling of having your heart ripped systematically into a thousand tiny little pieces, having it trampled on, the overwhelming wretched feeling that makes you feel like throwing up.
sometimes it's better to leave. leave quickly before you're too caught up, before you're in too deep, in something with a future that is bleak.
