hallo my dear friends happy valentine's day.
if you had a date/boyfriend/girlfriend, good for you
if not, listen to what Miss Tactless said to me today
"so! did you get any flowers today?"
-one second pause-
"oh ya you don't have a boyfriend right"
KNN!!!! (i am so sorry i cussed. just for today and for this incident, i have the prerogative)
and you know what's really really funny? SHE REALLY DIDN'T MEAN TO BE IRRITATING ON PURPOSE. she is just SO brainlessly tactless.
my god this so does not bode well for the future tutorials. I MUST GRIT MY TEETH AND NOT RETORT! and my mouth is already itching because you know how i cant stand not retorting stupid people. GRRR!
anyway i do agree with jiayin. it used to be all fun back in the jc days when it came to valentine's day. because people actually remembered that it was ALSO KNOWN AS FRIENDSHIP DAY.
we would exchange gifts among the clique, the guys would buy flowers for all the girls in the class.. it was great :) everybody would get something at the end of the day and you don't feel like a complete loser because you're not toting flowers while the streets are teeming with smug girls with their "my bouquet is larger than yours" look.
(okay. am only kidding heehee. i think i sound insanely jealous. but then again, IF my boyfriend ever got me a bouquet of flowers for vday, it would be a cold day in hell before i agree to carry it. i'd probably stuff it in my bag. no i am not kidding. you know what would be really good though? a Tiffany and Co. paper bag. alternatively, any luxury brand. ha. who needs flowers!)
on a different note though. one of my tutorial mates got a surprise bouquet from her boyfriend during class today.
the delivery guy knocked on the door in the middle of the lesson and gave her the bouquet. and you know what's the sweetest thing? THE BOYFRIEND IS IN THE ARMY. and he had to order through the school.
aww. lucky thing. :)
and at the risk of sounding like sour grapes, i have to say i'm cool with not being attached. oh two years worth of nightmarish experience would teach you a thing or two about the emotional trauma of being the object of insane possessiveness.
it's just when i see people like A Certain Fat Bitch (remember the prerogative!) having dates that i get the heebie jeebies. and then moan about the lack of fairness in the world.
heh heh.
okay so anyway since i didn't have the elective today, i met up with my long-lost colleague michelle at Vivo!! i have not seen her since she flew off to Down Under last july!
ah it was just like the old times. yakking about everything under the sun; disgusting bosses, disgusting people, funny people blah blah.. it was great!
haha after a long lunch at food republic, we wandered around the stores (River Island has pretty clothes but the stuff is about a 100% overpriced. and Red2 has the prettiest dresses! oh i have big plans for my angbao money)before settling down at a really old-school cafe for another gossiping sesh :)
old school gramophone!
dinner!
what can i say, my photography skills absolutely suck.
great to see that 1/2 yr later, we still have endless things to talk about! i say my theory stands: if you can click with somebody, you can. if not, you never will.
if i get a sms tomorrow going like this : 'hi minyan, so how was your v-day? :)' I AM GOING TO HURL. oh but that's another story for another day.
THERE ARE LIMITS TO MY PATIENCE AND NICENESS.
